In ascending a level, means reducing the path. If eight paths were deducted by one, then two of the eight paths should be the same end in order to have seven paths on the next level.

Regarding how the Young Master of Dragon Spear Sect met the wolf king, only one explanation, their path's end were the same.

The Young Master of Dragon Spear Sect's name was Mao Qingyu; including him and his two ladies, in a total of eight people; the reduction of their numbers was basically natural occurrence, many large battles happened everywhere because of these Fiery Ifrits. Losing two to three men were insignificant and much more they were the least useful in the group. But the five men behind Mao Qingyu were a bit used. Clearly indicating that they had just passed a great battle and Mao Qingyu didn't help at all, just by looking at their clothing, someone can easily judge that those five behind him was a bit tattered and haggard.

"Young master, do you want that demon beast?" A subordinate came forward and asked respectfully to Mao Qingyu.

"Yes! yes! I want that to be my pet!" on Mao Qingyu's left side where his left hand laid upon on a snake-like body, a lady said eagerly. While tenderly looking at Mao Qingyu asking for his permission.

"Well, if you really want that beast badly…" Mao Qingyu paused, for a second, he turns his head and look at his subordinate and casually continue on saying, "… might as well asked you, Zink, to catch that demon beast."

The subordinate name Zink was dazed and puzzlement was written on his face. When Mao Qingyu saw that his subordinate was in a daze, his eyes flashed with eerie light, while dark tint appears on his face. Waking from his daze and seeing his Young Master's gloomy face he hurriedly answered, " This subordinate Zink, will obey your command."

Mao Qingyu's dark face quickly subsided and returned his cool when he took a deep breath and replied, "Good"

Zink quickly bowed his head while retreating, when he was three meters away from Mao Qingyu, he stood upright and waved his hands, giving the signal to other four members which nodded at the same time. And they moved swiftly like a wind.

When the wolf king saw them rushed on him, he howled in an anger filled with maliciousness mixed from the pyromaniac fiery ifrits' that burned the surrounding above this bough that made him reminisced his past.

His body suddenly blurred in golden brilliance, and suddenly appeared in front of Zink. While his right claw was in swiping position attacking to Zink's face!

Zink who was a leader for five years, had a long experience in battle, much more on facing demonic beast as aggressive as this. Zink who is running was holding a plain white spear on his right hand, but instead meeting the incoming wolf king's claw, he leaned to the left that he evaded the attack on a hair's breadth. A split-second action follows his evasion, waving his spear forward thrusting to the wolf king's abdomen!

Peng!

Zink's eyes flickered with light, thinking that he can defeat the demonic beast in one clash. But in contrary, the clawing right claw of the wolf king which had already passed by his shoulders that the wolf king could not possibly make any sudden movement or even block his thrust. Had miraculously angled the trajectory of his claw to the spear's body which recently targetted Zink's face. Their course of action was quick that it only happened in seconds but had taken time to explain.

Zink was shocked, even in his long experience battling against any demon beast, there have been never ever blocked or evaded his signature technique, named Split Second Thrust. This signature of his had led him to have a spot on becoming one of the four elders!

Because of his weapon being blocked to the direction where his body except his right arm was leading to, had contradicted where his right arm which was holding the plain white spear was heading!

Like he was being pulled by someone behind; a knockback occurs!

'Crap!' Zink thought.

The wolf king landed on the ground, but quickly bounced back on Zink and swiped his left claw horizontally to the location where Zink's chest was located at!

Scratching sounds of flesh and a coughing of blood from a person, at the same time echoed.

Zink's eyes were wide open, he saw a large back in front of him who took the hit for his sake. Though it was a scratch from the swipe of the wolf king, if one's fleshly body was not tempered enough, death will be assured. And the one who receives the attack was blown back, with Zink behind.

Catching the body in front of Zink, and felt that the owner of the body was no longer breathing. Zink's eyes turned red, while a red tint of liquid accumulated on the corner of his eyes.

He had lost yet again another subordinate!

"Cainao!" behind Zink three people came forward and was a bit second late and concerned exclaimed.

"Ahhhhh!" Zink suddenly shouted to the sky, holding his two arms around the dead body in front of him while kneeling.

"Aiya, an inexperienced person indeed. Just to protect his leader, he had to take the hit and have a noble death? Tsk! What a bunch of morons." ten meters behind Zink where the entrance and exit of the path's location, stood Mao Qingyu who clicked his tongue while continually fondling the two ladies in both of his sides.

A circular golden radiance covers around Zink, stopping his cry on his subordinate's death. He slowly lay the deadman named Cainao properly on the ground while he swayingly stood up.

"Cainao…." the three behind said in sadness, while approaching Cainao's dead and cold body.

"Why… why should I lose more members?… I want to protect them… but why I was the one to be protected…" Zink mumbled while slowly stepped forward in a zigzag manner like a drunken person, dragging the white spear behind, was on hold by his right hand. The circular golden radiance was glowing intensely as time ticks by.

Before they reached this level, Zink and his men met two large round magma balls containing a two ten meters fiery ifrits, two times larger than typical fiery ifrits. Which quickly identified as a guardian ifrits! With the command of their leader, Mao Qingyu. They fought it resulting four casualties. But Mao Qingyu only helped them kill the two guardian ifrits when the fourth person died on the large claws of the horrendous guardian ifrit. And because of how heartless Mao Qingyu was on his subordinate, an anger ignites in his heart! That he even thought of killing Mao Qingyu in order to avenge his team, but in the end, he held it inside his heart. And right now, he couldn't afford to lose another life, but in contrast to all, he couldn't even do anything as the man name Cainao died in front of his very eyes.

The dark and gloomy face of Zink that was in contrast against the circular golden radiance suddenly lifted, looking directly into the eyes of the wolf king!

Groo!

On Zink's eyes, a golden color light reflected and a depiction of ethereal-like dragon's head behind him appears, which angrily looked at the wolf king; which was angry on the death of the Dragon Spear Sect's disciple, angry because of Zink's incompetence, and angry because of Mao Qingyu's viciousness. Which was only all Zink's emotion that was held inside his heart!

An intimidating aura surged out from Zink's body, and the wolf king feels it. But no matter how intimidating the aura is, it was farcry on a real dragon!

"He finally reached the Dragon's Descent of Dragon's Gate Technique!" one of the three beside the dead person said in amazement.

Bang!

At the same time, both parties move forward.

Sheng!

The crown-like ears of the wolf king shone brilliantly, and all of his muscles harden and the bones turned to diamond-like hardness.

While moving, Zink rotated his plain white spear forward, and suddenly pulls it back behind him. The plain looking white spear abruptly dazzled in golden light.

Clang!

They clashed, then quickly jumps back for four to five meters distance to each other.

But their eyes didn't shy away from each other's gaze as they rush back, leaning forward and made an attacking gesture that was lethal for each other's bodies.

Clang!

Again, their claws-like steel and golden spear met, howling and crying of clanging sounds echoed amidst of their battle with an intent to kill. Alas, for how many consecutive exchanges, they suddenly didn't jump back away to each other! They were in a sudden deadlock!

The wolf king's right claw was pushing to Zink but was blocked horizontally by his golden spear where its tip was pointed on the ground while his left hand was holding the spear's body near the shaft and his right hand was on the bottom part of the spear.

Even in their deadlock, their eyes had not evaded each other's gaze.

Awroo!

The wolf king snarled while the crown glows brightly, and powerfully pushed its claw near to Zink's neck!

"Haaa" Zink shouted and also the circular golden radiance, radiates intensely. Counteracting the wolf king's advance.

A contest of physical strength!

But before they start pushing each other through sheer strength on their attrition. A third party joins in, and it was not only one person, they were three people!

When the wolf king sensed the three, he quickly leaped back fifteen meters away from the three and Zink.

"Leader, we want to help you!" one of the three, a Fourth Rank Earthen Realm spoke sincerely.

"No! Stay back, with you cultivation base only on Fourth Rank of Earthen Realm, you'll just die a meaningless death, and it may even hinder me on fighting this demon beast!" Zink rebuked the three of them.

"But we want to-"

Puchi!

But before that person could answer the rebuke of their leader, a slash from a claw was embedded behind the back of the person, quickly bleeding profusely.

"Urgh!"

"No, Bendan!…" The other two screamed in shock.

A golden flashed past the four of them, which directly aimed Mao Qingyun who was amused by the dramatic event, unfolding in front of him.

"Chet! A mere Fifth Rank of Earthen Realm, and you can't even defeat it!? I'll let you see how to catch a demonic beast that much more intelligent than you dumb people" Mao Qingyun sarcastically said those words as if it was the natural order of the world.

"Excuse me, ladies, I have something to settle first" Mao Qingyun talked to the two ladies as he winked at them.

Flash!

Suddenly, Mao Qingyun appears five meters ahead of his location as if he was blinking, but he didn't use space-like techniques or traveled through space. Only the burst of elemental energy that he combusted which pushed him to move five meters in front of him in an instant.

Bang!

Mao Qingyun and the wolf king clashed!

Mao Qingyun's feet dug two feet in the ground while being pushed back for several meters.

Ahead of him was the wolf king, whose claws were on top between of a peculiar golden dragon's mouth.

A shock was on the wolf king's eyes, seeing that on Mao Qingyu's right shoulder, where one of the golden dragon's head was laid, suddenly moved and blocked his ultimate attack, Penetrating Claw's Lunge!

Weirdly, Mao Qingyu's corner of his lips stretched widely, while his eyes burn fiercely with intense craving…craving for battle!

"Good, good…you are a strong dog indeed!" maliciously smiled weirdly that the wolf king's golden fur was dancing violently, being intimidated.

Mao Qingyu continued saying, "Let's see how long you can last, heh"
