《Pink Mage》39, Same old, same old, killing monsters and exciting adventure.

Prin was an old hand at killing goblins and making a goblin hoard a problem for other goblins. After all, a human settlement was usually heavily fortified, a goblin settlement was usually a weak and appealing new home.
This meant there was an exacting science of eyeballing it on how many goblins to kill in the settlement before they ran off to make trouble for other goblins. Micky was also aware of what needed to be done, and with his new and improved AOE spells, he could cause chaos and discord in the goblins like never before. Of course goblins had always been about chaos and discord… So it almost couldn’t be said whether Micky would do anything at all. After all, goblins didn’t really need a reason to fight each other.
Micky ready Op’ed and looked at Prin to make sure she was ready to go. This would be their first real mission together. The plan was that Micky would fire off the first volley by enraging the Goblins against each other, preferably with a group of goblins that were already looking for a fight. Then he would do this over and over again. By the time the goblins knew what was up it would already be a mess and cause a schism. Then they just had to mop up any small groups that were left over.
They should be able to complete the kill quest and then some, the quest itself would pay out bonus rewards the more they overkilled. There was an open bounty on goblins and any [Base] monster really. It wasn’t like the monsters where ever ending any time soon…
Micky cast the spell and like all good plans, things immediately went wrong. Apparently there was a goblin shaman in the village, who immediately spotted what Micky was doing with his magic. And where there is a shaman there’s a goblin chief. And of course where there’s a goblin chief they can call a Warband. And a Warband was attached to the goblin chief in a similar way that a party or more like summoned and tamed creatures where. And of course, the first mob Micky [Enraged] was this [Warband].
Luckily for Micky, he also hit a goblin ‘prince’. This was a gob that wanted to be chief but didn’t quite have the power yet. So all was not lost… Of course, then the shaman cast [Bloodlust] on the Goblins and all hell broke loose. This was kinda good for Micky though, because he then cast [Mass Charm] all over the place. Afterall the goblin shaman was doing his job for him. And now that the goblins where all hyped up with nowhere for their goblin angst to go… well they took it out on things…

Micky watched as the goblins tore into each other completely not of his design. Prin looked over at him. All he could do was shrug and tell her to cover him. So he concentrated on casting the [Charm] spell and also making sure that key goblin groups just went absolutely goblin crazy on one another.
And it was working… to a point. The chief was sending his [Warband] out to take them out and also quell the rioting goblins. It wasn’t working, but the Warband was attacking them. Meanwhile, Micky and the goblin shaman were having a buffing contest. Micky would cast a [Mass Charm] or a [Mass Enrage] to control the situation. Then the goblin shamen would cast either [Bloodlust], or [War Drums] to either make the goblins to crazy to listen to charm, or unite them against a common foe.
On the flip side, Prin would glare down at the goblin chief in between sporadic battles with his [Warband] or absolutely rabid goblins. She was tearing through them with her two handed saber like they were tissue paper. Of course to her saber they were basically tissue paper. Actually it might have had more trouble with tissue paper, the cuts would not have been as clean.
Micky’s greatest distraction wasn’t actually the combat, it was dodging the literal flying goblin parts. Goblins were not the most clean systematic fighters, nor was Prin. So with was pretty common for goblins to be literally ripped to shreds piece by piece. And the goblins where so rabid that if they weren’t well and truly [Dead] they would continue to fight. Actually, not barfing was Micky’s biggest distraction. A professional fighter might have just barfed and kept fighting and been done with it. But pro Micky was not, so he fought down the urge and attempted to keep his dignity. He did not succeed, but he tried his best.
The goblin chief was donning his armor, as his goblin maids, or wives attended him, there wasn’t much distinction made to goblin females, they raped other females all the same. Anyway, they were helping him with his armor.
All the while Prin and the goblin chief glared at one another when they weren’t fending off one attack or another. There was going to be a showdown there, it was preordained. All the Squishy felt anxious and annoyed. Anxious to start fighting and annoyed she was still stuck with guard duty for the foreseeable future. Unlike Prin who was only part-time guard, the enviable bitch… Did Squishy say that out loud? It was a proper lady so it needed to enunciate her swears, the enviable B. I. T. C. H.

Micky felt that he was justified for some reason. Then his metaphorical justification felt like it was smacked down by another stating that “I can be a lady and unisex at the same time damn it!”
The battle raged. The battle lines were clear now. The Chief and his warband were one group. There were many goblin princes that had their own small groups. There was the goblin shaman and a possy that had him under protection, that group needed to be taken out. And there was the small isolated groups, these needed to be taken out as well.
The Chief’s group wouldn’t not fight, especially after they had splintered their community like they had. And the shaman was a wily bastard, he needed to be taken down as fast as possible. The small groups could be chased down later.
That’s when there was a lull in the fight. It was weird since all the goblins were still under bloodlust. But the Chief had arrived, and he now marched through the battlefield like a king at court, he was majestic, he was regal, he was ready to fight to the bloody death. He was killed from behind by an arrow from a gob prince. The gob prince cheered, and was quickly mobbed to death by some of the loyal warband members.
If Micky thought that before was a bloody mess, Micky felt that the Micky of the recent past was so young and innocent. There were no lines now, and there was nothing that either him or the goblin shaman could do about it. So he cast [Accelerate] onto Prin and Squishy and charged through the battlefield. It was basically the same effect as a stampeded through a field of daisies… is what Micky told himself so that his mind did not have to process the real imagery.
There was so much blood and gore. Micky was not unaware, or innocent of either, he knew what must be done and did it, but this was nothing like that. He had even been through [Monster] waves before, heck he was even on the front lines of some! But this was just blood and flying gore. That’s all it was. Goblins were throwing pieces of each other like mashed potatoes at a food fight. They would grab bits of gore and just toss them like a dog digging for a hidden bone.
All that green blood, all those blue intestines, it was a real mess. Micky was just glad he didn’t have to clean it up or they would keep his deposit… no, if he had to clean up this, he would let them keep their deposit and clean it up themselves, they earned it.
Prin rammed into the pack surrounding the Shaman. The shaman herself was busy casting [Touch Of Lightning] a lightning based attack that was only really good for melee range, though not actually touch based. Really as long as you where within three feet of the goblin (Human feet he might add) than it had a good possibility of striking you.
But it couldn’t stop the freight cart that was Princess Von Erinson the [Berserker Hellion], nor could it stop Squishy Von Slimer Von Anderson von Mickyson(?) the [Slimy Tentacled Terror]! Even if she didn’t quite have tentacles yet… or most of those names, well maybe Micky’s name? His last name… Because she was adopted by him? She was suddenly feeling insecure, but Micky quickly whipped that away through the link. Yes she was Squishy Anderson! And they would know true terror from a slime hyped up on [Rage] and pure uncut [Speed]!
Prin easily ripped through the shamen, slicing her in half. And Squishy bounced around the gobs, cracks could be heard from skulls, necks were bent at sharp angles. This area was very quickly cleared. Of course by that time some of the smaller parties had run. So making sure that the rest ran so they could chase them down would be for the best. Also Micky wasn’t sure his two man and one monster party wouldn’t be overwhelmed by the rest of the gobs, should they all swarm them.
So Micky cast [Charm], but this time to calm the sudden bloodlust. When the gobs came out of their fugue tired and scared they ran. He and Prin would have to chase them down later. It was time to get their loot. Not [Loot] but loot. Also after they finished off these dang goblins, [System] rewards!

All of the text here was written in 10 syllable chunks, this reads like a epic of sorts, just with more philosophical focus and POV jumps. Hope you enjoy! >Updates may be sporadic as I only write when I have something about myself I want to share The chapters can all be read individually, although there may be some crossovers between them they work as single poems. You start at whatever chapter you want since these are a collection of roughly connected poems (although you'll notice tie ins and references to eachother)
