After Micky got up and had breakfast with Prin (Real breakfast not just before lunch breakfast). It was early in the morning, despite Prin’s protests that he should mail to the counts and have them reschedule for later. She seemed to be quite adamant about it, even staging a small protest. Micky was not amused.
For the first time in a week Micky was going to the adventurer’s guild and not getting a quest, it felt weird. Then Micky realized it felt weird and hoped that this wouldn’t become a regular thing. After all, who wanted to become addicted to work?
Micky showed up at the adventurer’s guild and they shooed him to the back. There was a training field out there that Micky hadn’t known existed till now. Though it was obvious in hindsight why it was there. There was actually a lot of the guild he hadn’t yet explored. He decided that he should check out what the guild had to offer one day.
Micky sat on the ground and loafed with the rest of the kids in the class. Micky had been to classes before in the village but it was Prin’s first time with so many kids, so she was a bit nervous. That’s what she got for having those expensive private tutors her dad sent her. Now she was paying for being the rich kid!... Though technically that was Micky, but he was bumming off of Jimmy… More things to contemplate.
As Micky was having an existential crisis on who he was actually bumming off of, and who was the real rich kid, the instructor walked onto the field. He was the adonis of physical education teachers. The true perfect form… so he had a full on keg belly and looked like his basic education routine was lifting a mug.
Prin was getting even more nervous. This man didn’t look anything like her instructors, so she didn’t know what to expect from him. He wasn’t the only teacher walking onto the field though. Next walked a woman that looked like she could pick up Micky and crush him between two fingers. Which she likely could if she picked him up the right way. She was a part of the giant race, another human bloodline, and was over four strides tall. This was actually short for the full giant bloodline but she looked like she was part off an offshoot giant race since she had sky blue skin.
Following up next was the orc from the other day. Micky just wanted to facepalm, apparently the orc could share his sentiment since he was already drinking.

Next up was a much shorter woman. She looked like she was a part of the gnomish race. She had an oversized head with large doll like eyes. She was short and squat, not having human proportions in the arms and legs. However she had a petite beauty to her. She was also clearly fit considering the beast slayer spear on her back. It was a monstrosity that looked like someone took a tombsword, a sword the size and shape of a giant tombstone with a point on the end, and attached it to a solid bronze staff. Micky wasn’t even sure that she could wield the thing. Though he had been hit with the cane enough to know not to question the competence of his instructors.
Finally there were two more. One looked like a secretary and the other looked like a slob. The secretary was a woman with an unfortunately small chest. She was wearing a toga with heeled sandals. She had a scroll in one hand and a quill in the other and wasn’t bothering to look up at the proceedings. Next to her was a man that was a full head over her. He was clearly the guild master since he looked like the only person that didn’t care what was happening.
The giant stepped forward with her impressive figure. “I’m your head instructor and the instructor of the magical studies. I will be going over your magic based tactics and your overall instruction will fall to me.-” she pointed to the man with the keg belly. “-This man will be your physical instructor, he will implement your basic routines for physical fitness and training programs.-” She pointed to the gnomish woman. “-This is your warrior instructor. She will instruct you on all physical based skills abilities and classes.-” then she pointed to the still drinking orc. He gave a little wave, but didn’t stop drinking. “-And lastly this is the survival expert. He will teach you what it means to live as an adventurer. Outside of civilization, and away from all the amenities you know and love.” “You’re going to live to hate me.” quickly said the orc.
The giant paused to take a breath. She then stepped back and said “The guild branch master would like to say a few words.”
The secretary stepped forward. Only now putting away her scroll and quill. “Armond, my speech.” Said a man. Clearly this secretary was both a man, and the guild master. The slob pulled out a scroll from seemingly mid air and passed it to the guild master. Then he took the scroll and quill the guild master had been working on earlier. Finally he went to a corner and went to sleep.

The guild master nervously looked up, and cleared her his throat. “*Krm* Alright, as you all know this is a sponsored adventurer class. This is an opportunity that people will literally kill for.-” The guild master looked around pointedly. “-I know that some of you already have. So treasure what you have here.
Usually you have to live as a porter for some low ranked team for years before you have enough knowledge as an adventurer to strike out on your own. It doesn’t matter what level you are, or think you are at the start. I have seen [Hero]es think they are some hotshots, go out into a no name dungeon, and die, thus giving it the name ‘hero slayer’. The locals love it when you do stupid things like that.
Don’t be one of those idiots. Don’t go into a dungeon without taking the class.-” Prin looked at Micky pointedly, who looked away. It wasn’t like it was his choice in the matter. “-You will learn to survive and possibly even thrive as an adventurer here. So make no mistake, take this opportunity while you can. And for those lucky few that catch the noble’s eye, there is another opportunity for you. We have learned that a noble is taking in [Sworn]. Not only this, but this noble has at least 3 sponsorships for the [Kingdom Acadamy Of Earn]. However, these 3 spots aren’t guaranteed nor will they necessarily go to the strongest amongst you.
So while it is best that you make a showing, it is also best that you make a showing that you can be a part of a team. This will not just endear you to the noble however. It will also endear you to future potential teammates. The teams you form here may become the teams you have for the rest of your life. Treat every member of this class as a potential teammate and lifelong comrade, it will bring you far.”
Micky and Prin felt like they were going to go to sleep. This was a first for the both of them. They had never had a speech like this before. They wondered if all of these types of speeches made the listeners want to fall asleep. The guild master just droned on and on.
Micky was wondering when this torture would finally end. He had never felt like time could stretch this far. He wondered if it was some kind of long time enchantment spell that would curse them into a time prison. He heard about them, as long as the speaker kept talking time wouldn’t move forward. Eventually, you would [Dead] of old age inside of the enchantment, nothing but dust would be left.
Micky could see other students ears bleed from the never ending torture. No that was just an illusion that Micky blinked away. Prin however was already leaning on his shoulder lightly snoring and drooling. She wasn’t the only one that had fallen asleep. There were over a hundred prospective adventurers in this class. All of them were no older then 16 with some as young as 10. There was even an 8 year old in the class, despite not having a class yet. Or likely having a class, he seemed to be from a nonhuman race, so he might have a class already.
Even the races in the class were varied. Although over half the class was human the rest of the class was made up of other races. There was even a wisp! Those things only lasted for like ten years! Well, as long as they leveled and race promoted they could live for longer. But still, they needed to get a move on if they wanted to achieve something.
Micky looked around the class, but he was careful to keep his movements slow so as not to disturb Prin. He discovered some interesting classmates. Some were extreme nonhumans, like the wisp. Some were extreme classes. Like a classmate completely covered in armor. He had an open faced bronze helm, bronze scalemail, and finally a giant spiked bronze tower shield. He was also giant himself, even though Micky was pretty sure he was pure human.
There was also some hot babes. There were cute ones too. Micky was quite happy with the women in his class. The ratios could use some work, with a 40/60 split girls to guys. Of course Micky knew that no girl would be interested in a [Pink Mage]. But Micky could still look dang it!
Finally, the Guild master finished her his speech. “So to commence this adventurer’s class, the first fighting tourney will commence!”

Clearly, there must be some dark secret behind the success of these newcomers, and it’s up to the city’s true artists to find out what it is and expose the conspiracy!
