Jonathan was a baby. He had been a young up and coming musician! He was just about to get his big break with his next gig, he could feel it. He was sure that he would have been signed on by a giant records company singing in that subway station if only he hadn’t fallen onto those tracks… chasing a coin that dropped. He almost had it too, dodging out of the way of the train. But then he touched the third rail stretching for the coin and that was it.

So now, we repeat back to where we were, Jonathan was a baby. He had reincarnated or so his status said. And he would make the most of his life! He was going to become a magical bard and rock the world! He had seen literal magic. People could just swing their hands and do things, it was awesome. He was going to be so awesome and bring his magical music to the world! He just needed to grow up some more first.

Jonathan didn’t actually have a problem with being a baby. He had been homeless at certain points in his life, yes more than once, so he was used to just going everywhere. And his mom’s wrack was a work of art, he blamed magic. It had to be magic, because his mom in his previous life was fat after her first kid and she did not shrink down when the second came around. Jonathan was already her third!

However, Jonathan would have to retire his name soon enough because he was no longer Jonathan anymore. He was now named ‘gobafolax oujenh’ as far as he could tell. Yeah, who was he kidding he was just going to translate that to Jonathan and call it a day, well maybe nap time. Nap time was another thing he very much had a lot of practice with. Then there were the burpsies, which was new kinda, but was not something he didn’t like. Also upsies, because he could never afford high adventure in his last life so being tossed up into the air three times his body length and then caught on the way down was again, kinda new though not, he just did not remember.

Jonathan did not like his dad however. This had nothing to do with the man, just that whenever mom opened up BLD cafeteria he would get handsy. And when he got handsy that would interrupt BLD whichever he was having at the moment, often some mix thereof because babies had a faster metabolism and not much in the way of storage capacity. So he would glare at the man. Though the man often took his own son up on the challenge. Jonathan thought that the man was proud that his son would take such a rivalry over his own mother. Though the man usually lost because mom would chase him off for competing with his own son for their mother. Whenever this happened Jonathan would smile knowing he won. In this way it became a three way trifecta of power. Dad beat Jonathan, Jonathan beat mom, mom beats all! Ok, there was no trifecta since mom beats everybody, but still, Jonathan had eye charm powers and telecommunication. As long as those were, changing, feeding, and napping commands anyway.

But Jonathan knew his time was running out, he was the hero of rock and would be forced to leave the starter village soon. Granted a month old and only just getting sight and hearing back was a bit early but still. Heroes always had tragic backstories of their entire villages and kingdoms burning down, it was bound to be soon for a hero as destined as him. So he trained. He trained his napping, and eating, and… other things. Hey, they were bound to be useful in life at some point write? You don’t complain because you trained breathing till it became as unconscious as… well breathing do you? Who gave you the right to judge?!
