Soon after Rina closed her eyes, she heard an exploding sound above her, and she felt her body being burned.

No, she was over reacting. It’s just a bit hot, but that’s because the pain sensitivity is lowered, she thought.

Moments later and she could still feel the others on her arms, and heard someone’s laughter.

“Muahahahaha!”

As she opened her eyes, she saw the wyvern fall to the ground.

“Mow that wyvern down! Show him who’s boss!” Said Kiting101 as she ran to Rina and the others.

The heat in the desert suddenly vanished and was replaced by a chilly cold temperature, along with sharp ice shards raining down from the sky.

The wyvern flew again to the sky and went to one of the culprits, one of Kiting101’s mercenaries.

“Look out!” Said Rina as she stared at the squishy wizard get hit by the wyvern’s claw.

“It’s fine, it’s fine, I buffed him with HP accessories and socket stats.” Said Kiting101 as she took out potions and gave them to Rina and the others. “Use it quickly.”

“T-thanks” Said Rina as she drank the HP and MP potion.

“Quickly, accept the alliance request!”

Without any questions asked, Rina clicked accept.

“Don’t worry, you did most of the damage so I’m not after the loot, I’m only after the fun! And of course the exp!” Said Kiting101 as she took out more potions and gave them to Rina. “Ok, time to bring the pain train!”

Kiting101 looked at the wyvern and pointed her bow at it. “Eat this! Fast shot! Twin shot! Piercing shot! Fade shot!” She teleported a meter behind her initial position. “Critical shot! Blinding shot!”

She continuously spammed skills until she ran out of MP, then proceeded to use normal attacks. “ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA!”

Once the wyvern turned its focus to her, she drank a potion and waited for it to come near her.

Rina and the others scattered, but since the wyvern was still on the air, they couldn’t attack.

When the wyvern got close to Kiting101, she used triad star. She created two copies of herself which spread around the wyvern. Every time she uses a skill, the clones also do the same, but the clones have lesser range and damage.

Rina was amazed, but it was no time to stare at Kiting101. Once the wyvern entered her range, she used weapon dash. Now that she has potions, she spammed assault.

Though they were in an alliance, they acted like two separate parties.

Like before, Rina uses her mobility to supply the others with potions. On Kiting101’s side, she uses her clones to give the potions to the wizards.

With their numbers, the wyvern’s damage output was divided, making it safer for all of them.

The fight against a wyvern that’s double their level was lightened up by Kiting101’s eccentric personality. Though she’s just spouting nonsense as she attacks, everyone’s morale rose.

Before, the wyvern was completely safe whenever it flew to the sky, but not with 2MuchDamage.

The wyvern was still within their range even when it flies, and whenever it charged for a breath attack, it just becomes a free target for them.

Slowly, though they were focused on their own parties, they synchronized. When one is in danger, the other increase damage output, and vice versa.

With Rina’s mobility and Kiting101’s clones, all members were always supplied with potion, and though there were six of them and were constantly moving, none entered the same line of fire as the other, only giving the wyvern one target at a time.

Soon, they entered the final phase of the boss fight.

“Don’t relax yet, the battle’s not over.” Said Rina.

The wyvern’s body was now covered in flames, inflicting burn status to everything that enters its range.

“Don’t copy my phoenix!” Said Kiting101 as she sent an arrow to the wyvern.

When it dealt critical damage, she said. “Pft, it crit, did it hurt?”

She used triad star, and moments later, the wyvern roared and attacked her.

She took the attack head on since she was paralyzed, but she wasn’t damage since the one the wyvern hit was just a clone.

“I was already paralyzed yet you couldn’t hit me? Pft, stupid wyvern.” Said Kiting101 as she sent another arrow.

For some reason, no matter how much damage everyone did, the wyvern was intent on attacking Kiting101, though with her efficient use of triad star and fade shot, she rarely got hit.

Rina has higher mobility through her weapon dash, but she can’t help but be amazed by Kiting101’s play style.

Soon, the wyvern fell, but it didn’t vanish.

It crawled on the ground, ignoring them who were still attacking due to confusion. It no longer attacked; it simply dragged its body in the middle of the desert.

Soon, the wyvern stopped, and so did the others. With its remaining strength, it blew away the sand, letting everyone see the corpse of a smaller wyvern, the one Rina killed earlier.

Just like how Decima, Nona and Ragus had emotions, the wyvern did too. The wyvern cried in agony as it licked its dead child, before vanishing with it completely, leaving a pile of gold and three accessories.

She heard five consecutive bell sounds, indicating five level ups, and a screen appeared in front of her.

While Kiting101 was thinking, Rina looked at Decima, Nona, and Ragus. As she did, she felt like all of her problems were gone.

“Ok, I’ve decided.” Said Kiting101 as she stood up. “I’ll take the two Wyvern’s Wrath, it’s a fair price for saving your party.”

“Are you sure you don’t want the Calamity orb? It’s perfect for your class.”

“Yes! I want it! I want it badly! But taking more will make me feel guilty! No, I already feel guilty for taking two accessories! I even said I’m not after the loot earlier…”

“Hahaha, it’s fine, I’m really grateful that you saved us.” Said Rina as she smiled, brimming with pure happiness.

Kiting101 looked to the side and covered her eyes. “Urg, it’s too bright! You’re too bright!”

“Eh?”

Kiting101’s antics continued, until they finally reached a conclusion half an hour later.

“Are you sure? I won’t offer it again after I wear it.”

“It’s fine, it’s fine, the two earrings are plenty enough for me. Taking too much from a friend is a no go.”

“Besides, helping a friend in need is something a friend would do right?”

“Kiting101” Said Rina as she saw Kiting101 in a new light.

“And there’s also the feeling of guilt, a lot of guilt, lots and lots of it…”

“So it’s still that...”

“Muahaha enough of that, let’s go back to Denla city and create our guild!”

After that, they all walked to the nearest teleport gate and went to Denla city.

After that, they had five matches, but Rina only won once.

“You won, so you are more fit to be the leader.”

“Ok, let’s go create our guild, guild master.”

Kiting101 asked for more battles, but lost all of the matches Rina orchestrated. In the end, Kiting101 had no choice but to be the guild master, though she somehow forced Rina to be the vice guild master.

He didn’t tell Rina, since she will only try to cure what cannot be cured, reducing the small time he had left to spend with her.
