《Omega System》Chapter 22 - Mythic Class

The once imposing monster was lying still on the ground, with Buna doing something beside it. The blood was still leaking out of the body, and the wolf was drinking it.
I’m getting pretty thirsty too, especially from that fight right now… but I don’t want to drink blood. Ugh, one gulp won’t hurt me right?
Damon contemplated whether drinking the blood would hurt him or not, but he was more worried about the taste. If it had a foul taste, he would probably gag and spit it back out.
Doesn’t matter anymore, it’s either now or later so I may as well just get it over with.
Damon crouched down and collected some blood that was dripping in his hand. Without a second thought, he tilted his head backwards and drank the blood in one motion.
It tasted…
Surprisingly good?
He thought the moment he substance entered his mouth, he would start gagging but that didn’t happen. It slid down his throat and even got rid of his thirst.
Wow, it doesn’t taste half ba-
A few moments after taking in the blood, a change in his body occurred that was different from the usual level up sensation.
Is this because of the blood?
Damon could feel his control over his mind slipping, and his body received a spontaneous increase in strength. From Buna’s point of view, one could even observe his eyes turning dark red after ejecting his brown contact lenses, and his silver hair shining more brightly than it usually did. Also, two pairs of jagged teeth could be see on the upper and lower jaw of his mouth. They were about as sharp as Buna’s own, and probably boasted the same amount of attack potential as well.
Before Damon could completely lose himself, his system saved him.
[An unusual occurrence has happened to the host.]
[The Mythic Class ‘Progenitor Vampire Descendant’ has been granted to the host.]
[This Mythic Class grants a +10 increase to all stats other than the special stats for 10 minutes, on the requirement that the host ingests blood.]

[Once mastered (Currently 1%), the class will evolve.]
What the hell just happened!
Damon had just gotten a flurry of notifications from his system that confused him greatly. Just taking in a little bit of blood from a dead troll had caused this big of a change in his system, so he was completely lost.
The important thing was that he finally has been awarded a class. It was a mythic class, but it wasn't clear what that meant. Classes didn’t exist on Earth until now, that was until Omega System bestowed it upon Damon.
I guess it’s rarer than a legendary item? A mythic item wasn't mentioned in class, so maybe it’s an even higher ranked rarity?
The name didn’t make sense to Damon, because how could he be the descendant…
Wait, my hair is silver… my eyes are red, and I don't know anything about my father. Also, blood doesn’t taste bad to me. It can’t be a coincidence….right?
A clue to his family had been given to Damon right then and there, but since further investigation could not be conducted, he let go of his curiosity for now. He inspected the description and was surprised by the buff the class gave him and the chance for the class to evolve.
You mean I could get even stronger!? It's already increasing my stats by 10, yet it could potentially increase it by more?! What an overpowered class, no wonder it’s mythic ranked.

He looked at his stat window, and indeed, all his stats other than the special stats had been buffed by 10 points. But, in order for the buff to activate, the teen had to ingest blood.
If I want to be able to use this in battle, I’ll need to keep blood on me at all times. Now that I found out that it doesn’t taste too bad, I guess I can drink it without hesitation now.

Damon grabbed a few plastic ziplocs that were in his bag, and started filling them to the brim with the troll’s blood as Buna watched him curiously. When Damon arrived in this different dimension, his school stuff didn’t disappear, his bag and other belongings were still on his back unharmed.
After a few minutes of collecting blood, the energy from his body started to decrease bit by bit. It seemed like the buff was finally wearing off after the 10 minute mark that had been stated in the description.
All I have to do is ingest some blood, so even a drop of blood would be fine. Also, it didn’t say there was a limit to high many times I could use it, so I could use it 24/7 if I wan-
Almost if on cue, Damon’s body collapsed on the ground from the toll on his body. If one was supplied power greater than one’s body could handle, it’d overload it and cause great stress, sometimes, it was even fatal. The only reason Damon didn’t lose his consciousness or suffer a greater consequence was because of his strong body.
He had trained it rigorously, so unlike others who focused on the power in their skills, Damon could withstand the side effect because his body was barely enough to handle the power from the buff.
Damon lay there catching his breath for a little while, but he couldn’t afford to rest for too long. His battle with the troll would have caught the attention of surrounding monsters, because Buna showed signs of hostility and her ears and nose were pointed towards the mouth of the cave.
Now, let’s see if the troll dropped anything and gather some of it’s meat for later.
Damon had already adjusted to the lifestyle he would have to be living in this hellhole. Blood instead of water, and monster meat instead of normal Earth food. He was already prepared for what's to come, so he didn’t bat an eyelash at having to preserve the troll’s meat for later.
Slowly, Damon stood up with the help of Buna and the two started dissecting the troll. When he was little, he had to help with a lot of cooking, sometimes involving dissecting the chicken and other animals. Now, that skill came to use as Damon grabbed ahold of how to dissect monsters.
Monsters aren’t that different from animals huh? It’s really easy to separate the meat from it’s bones and organs.
After some time of tirelessly cutting up the troll, Damon came to a stop.
How am I going to carry all this meat though? There’s almost enough to fill up a whole car!
Realizing his dilemma, his spirit dropped, until he saw a glint coming from the dead monster. Carefully, he picked it up from the remains, but it was just a leather sack
Darn it, I thought I found an useful item for one second.
[Spatial Bag Acquired]
[Any item that is placed inside the Spatial Bag has it’s time suspended, and it’s weight reduced to 0.]
I guess it’s going to be useful then!
With efficiency and the help of Buna, the stacks of meat were successfully stored inside the spatial bag, which was kept inside of one of Damon’s zipped pockets. As the two were on their way out, another rather similar roar to the one they heard before resounded through the cave.
Dammit, I’m still single yet these damn monsters have already found partners?! Fuck this place!

Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder
I, Mick Chadwick, regret to inform my readers that this memoir contains nothing but the truth, which in the case of Tobias MacClain, most ridiculed as Pajama Boy, is far from pleasant. If you seek to relate to a hero more than to aspire to them and have the stomach for unpleasant things such as a hero left for dead, villainous scars, bomb threats, and murderous intent, then look no further. All of these gruesome things and more await from my research, and though I do not wish them on any man or woman, I cannot bear this burden on my own much longer. In the words of Tobias MacClain himself, "Sometimes, a villainous act can cause the greatest good." I hope that all my villainous acts of sneaking, blackmailing, diary-reading, and grave-digging, among others, will be redeemed as I present this complete and truthful memoir to the world, and with any luck, open eyes to the truth of what we call "villainy". Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder ********* MATURE FILTER IS FOR:- violence- graphic imagery (blood, burns, fairly dark headspaces)- cartoon depiction of burn scars for visual aid Despite graphics, Mick Chadwick's writing keeps Mr. MacClain's terrible tale light somehow. This is foremostly a comedy.
