《Netherwyrm god》45---Semil Tarag, the alchemist.

Rolfe’s squad had received the mission of escorting a caravan of goods to the Brightsilver Everworld.
The Brightsilver Everworld was the capital of trade of the Omega prime reality. The Everworld was almost as big as a small prime reality. It has existed ever since the Mallory family appeared. It belonged to the Mallory family and was their main most profitable Everworld.
They offered many services. From elixirs, slaves and knowledge on elements. There was also places for entertainment with gambling as the main go to.
Rolfe team was only escorting a grade one alchemist and his elixirs.
Grade one Elixirs whether for the soul or body were only useful to the early Quintessential gods.
There was no clear limit when it came to the grades of the elixirs. The more knowledgeable one was about the ingredients and creating a perfect recipe, the more grades you could unravel. Of course, it was harder as you advanced and new and old recipes were out of reach for some while others had to pay too much gold to acquire them.
Concocting an elixir from a working new recipe could gain you recognition even if it was a grade one elixir.
Studying many recipes of the same grade gave you a chance to reach the next grade which is why the Mallory family who employed an uncountable amount of alchemists was way ahead in the field of alchemy to the point of being able to concoct grade 7 elixirs that were useful to the late Alpha god realms.
Of course, there was also a limit of the amount of the same elixir one could take before it’s efficacy dwindled to nothing, but as long as you used other elixirs in the same grade, you could still gain more power out of them.
The ingredients used in alchemy were numerous from plants to certain lifeform’s blood or flesh.
The alchemist they were escorting to the Brightsilver Everworld was named Semil Tarag. He had just created a grade one recipe and was heading to the Brightsilver Everworld to auction his work.
If it was ascertained that no one else had the same recipe, he was assured to drown in gold for the rest of his days.
Even the lowest of grades were in high demand as the great families wanted to offer a great starting point to their geniuses by having them drink as many elixirs of any grade that they could get their hands on.
“Maybe I should start learning alchemy as well.” Devinn said.
The nearby Semil who had chosen not to sit in carriage said: “Humph...Don’t say it so casually. I spend decades working on one recipe only to throw it away when I find out that someone else found it before me...It kills you from the inside when you have to restart again.”
“Are there other professions that make more gold then.” Devinn attempted to start a conversation.
“If you are a Sealer you can start making puppets, but you’d need more gold to buy slaves and experiment on them. If you can fight well, I hear that the hunters make more gold than Alchemists by turning in huge amounts of slaves every day...” Semil said.
Rolfe said: “Oh...I forgot to tell you...Sealers with stronger souls choose to make puppets out of slaves by erasing their souls. I do not know how they do it but puppets that do not say no to orders are in high demand. Puppets are sold at a higher price than a normal slave.”
Devinn thought: “Erase souls...That’s what I’ve been looking for...but if my puppets are made from my arcane energy why would they turn on me even if they have a little free will...I should start now at least and see what happens, before Erling surpasses me...I do not know his motives in wanting to become strong...”

Devinn’s crystal
Inside the absolute unity prime reality.
An incarnation of Devinn was watching several Celestial Emperor puppets fuse.
This time he had sealed his home to not alert anybody if strange ripples appeared.
The result was a Gray haired, gray skinned humanoid that looked like him and was also slightly weaker than him.
“He just barely passes as a Quintessential god.” Devinn thought.
“Master.”The puppet bowed.
“What can you do?”Devinn asked. He had the feeling that the puppet was different from the other thousands of puppets in his palace.
“I can do anything I wish for but with your permission master.” The puppet answered.
“Good. I want you to create as many of you as possible. My incarnation will stay here to monitor you as well as assist you if you ever need anything.” Devinn said.
“Yes. Master.” The puppet said before thousands of arcane pearls appeared out of nowhere and many of the thousands of celestial emperor level puppets started fusing.
“Next, I want to see if I can create an alpha god arcane puppet. There are still the eleven levels I have to go through to reach the Alpha god realm.” Devinn thought as he stayed to oversee the fusions. He was an incarnation and was connected to the Devinn in the real world.
Of the thousands of celestial emperor level, 734 Quintessential god puppets were created.
“All of you. Fuse.” Ordered Devinn. He was too impatient to see the result.
The 734 fused together gradually as Devinn noted the increase in power.
Quintessential god level 1
Level 2
Level 6
Level 9
Level 11
Alpha god Level 1
No matter how many puppets were added to the fusion, it had stopped at the first level of the alpha god realm.
“At least 500 Quintessential god level puppets to create just one Alpha god level one puppets.” Thought Devinn.
“Master. Shall I fuse with you? You are too weak.” The Alpha god puppet seemed more intelligent than the last one.
“Not now...Do you remember the task I just gave your previous weaker self.” Devinn asked.
“Yes...I will create as many of my level as soon as possible.” The puppet said.
In the Omega prime reality.
“How strong is the strongest puppet around?” Devinn suddenly asked.
“Probably the late alpha god level. No one has created an Omega god level puppet yet.” The alchemist, Semil, said. He added: “Why such a strange question? Everybody knows that those at the omega level are unfathomable enough and rare at that. A puppet at the Omega god level may never appear in my immortal life I guess.”
Devinn situation was unique. His way of leveling up was unique as well.
He had just created an Alpha god level puppet but his arcane energy and bloodline could not advance because his body could not tolerate it. He had to fuse with his puppets and steal their energy to level up his body’s tolerance to a stronger Arcane energy and bloodline.
The absolute unity law was only useful as long as the purity of arcane energy and bloodline had not reached their peak. As soon as they reach their peak he used the arcane pearls which turned into puppets who also needed to create pearls to store the surplus energy they could not contain under the influence of the law.
“Look like we are lucky today. We have yet to be ambushed...” Semil thought.
They arrived at the Brightsilver Everworld earlier than they had predicted. All they had to do was use multiple teleportation portals to get there.

“We are going to the auction house. Keep an eye out for any suspicious individuals. This place is filled with so many thieves that even I am scared that we may not arrive with a full carriage.” Rolfe ordered.
A god thief with an elusive element was something to be wary of in any Everworld. Everworlds with incredible traffic even more.
It was the first time that Devinn saw so many Alpha gods since commander Brogan and the arcane puppet.
People as strong as these treated this Everworld like their backyard as the moved like the wind from place to place.
Simple Quintessential gods like them were almost frowned upon but upon seeing the insignia of the Bluebird family, they were given a modicum of respect.
As soon as they neared the universe they were stopped by another thirteen man squad wearing the same armor as them.
“Is this an escort?” The leader of the other team asked.
“Yes. We’re going to the auction house.” Rolfe answered.
“Do you know your way around?” The leader asked.
“No.” Rolfe answered but turned behind him to look at Semil.
“I do. I often come here only to see my recipes being refused...sigh...I hope this new recipe is worth it this time.” Semil said.
“We will not keep you here any longer then. You can enter. Welcome to the Mallory entertainment universe.” The leader said as he let them pass.
They reached the auction house in minutes by using a teleportation portal.
They were directly teleported inside the hall of the auction house.
One of the many clerks registered Semil who asked for an appraiser. As soon as he mentioned that he had a grade one recipe to sell, the appraiser almost appeared instantly.
“You look familiar. My name is Dennis.” Dennis the appraiser said.
“Yes. I remember you once appraised a recipe of mine. It didn’t work out well for me though...You already possessed the same recipe in your vaults.” Semil said as his heart rate increased. He was confident enough this time.
“Show me your recipe.” Dennis said.
Semil took out a parchment and started writing from memory.
He also gave Dennis a sample of the elixir from the carriage.
Dennis read as Semil wrote.
“You may be on to something here...” Said Dennis as he read the full recipe.
“And?” An impatient Semil was heard.
“Hold on… I’m accessing the vault.” Dennis said as his ring flashed.
Appraisers had a general idea of the recipes in the vault of the Mallory family, but still needed to access it from time to time when they were not sure of themselves.
“Not there...You’re about to become rich...hehe” Dennis said with a light laugh. He added : “The auction house can acquire it from you directly if you want...we will not be stingy with the gold... we can even throw in a membership card...or you can auction it. Your choice.” He knew he had Semil with the membership card.
“I will sell it to the auction house, of course.” Semil was overjoyed. The gold was of secondary importance as it would soon be used up with all the experiments he would soon start. A membership card of the auction house was used to reel in promising individuals such as successful alchemists.
From a fifteen percent reduction as the card holder purchased anything at any store of the Mallory family to preferential treatment anywhere he went. It was too enticing to refuse.
“500 000 000 gold coins and a membership card. Sounds good huh?...” Dennis said. Personally, he did not care about the rewards he was giving Semil. All he cared about was to reel in such a genius that could find a way to create a grade 1 recipe when there were already thousands of such recipes. It was not easy to create.
“I better get back to my lab then...but first let’s have a good time...haha” The elated Semil said.
They left for the nearest Arena.
There were humans and puppets fighting.
There was a betting shop that let you bet on your favorite fighter.
They sat in their own suite as they watched the fights below.
There were three stages. One for puppets only, one for living beings only and one for both.
“The puppets controlled by the sealers are physically stronger than the sealers themselves by a huge margin but not too much. That’s how most sealers fight. They sit somewhere in the audience and just send their puppets to fight. Sometimes, you’ll never know the owner of the puppets.”Rolfe explained.
“The stakes?” Devinn asked.
“For humans against humans it’s gold, while puppet masters like to wage their puppets when they fight against another puppet master. In some cases, it’s both gold and puppets that are staked.” Rolfe said.
“Then I am going to fight as a puppet master.” Devinn said out loud.
“You...you’re a puppet master as well?” Rolfe asked as he could not see through Devinn anymore.
“Yes. Before I went adventuring, I brought a few puppets along with me.” Devinn planned on using the Alpha god puppet he had to win some gold.
Semil who had heard the conversation said: “Hehe...if you really are a sealer...i can lend you some money...hehe...I’m in such a good mood today...how about a million...”
“They can wage so much money for one match?” Devinn was surprised.
“I imagine that your puppet is in the late Quintessential god realm.” Rolfe tried to guess.
“No. Alpha god realm level 1.” Devinn calmly said.
Semil who was drinking wine spit it in shock.
The twelve other guards,Rolfe included, in the room looked even more surprised.
“How..how strong is it?” Semil managed to ask. It was common knowledge that enhanced puppets were even more feared.
“It can probably skip a few levels.” Devinn remained vague.
“Good...I will give 100 million gold coins. First win me back the same amount and the rest is yours. Just one fight to win double and I am sure that many will want to challenge you to win your puppet...The fights are boring now...the house will want something to rouse these people's gambling spirits.” Semil said. He seemed to have transformed into another person as he made plans for Devinn.
Devinn then connected himself to his incarnation inside his palace in the absolute unity prime reality.
The Incarnation looked at the puppet and said: “I need you to fight for me.”
“Of course, but the next Alpha god realm puppet is about to be born.” The puppet said.
“Let me handle it. Just go win me some fights.” Devinn ordered.
“Yes, master. I am ready for your call.” The puppet said.
Devinn and Semil were at the betting stall.
“Sealer...you say?” The clerk asked.
“Yes.” Devinn was wearing a cloak that hid his features. He also planned on telling the puppet to conjure a mask over its face as they looked the same.
“Level of the puppet?” The clerk asked.
“Alpha god level one.” Devinn said.
There was an eerie silence for a while before the clerk said: “Take this badge and have your puppet wear it or else it cannot pass through the seals of the stages...How much are you betting?”
“100 Million gold coins.” Said Devinn.
“On my account.” Semil said as he handed over the membership card of the auction house.
The clerk took the card and withdrew the money from the card.
“Good luck.” Said the clerk with a smile.

Devinn palace
The incarnation said as he threw the badge towards the puppet who caught it with a puzzled look: “Wear this. Time to fight.”
A voice sounded in the arena that announced a fight at the Alpha god level. The puppet master had waged a startling amount of a hundred million gold coins.
