《Netherwyrm god》55- The Stellar Styx part 1

Darius’s palace. In the throne room.
A multicolored staff was emitting ripples.
In a multicolored space, a humanoid could be seen punching and kicking the void in anger.
It was Baryon, the treasure spirit of the staff refined out of Alpha’s elemental corpse.
“Damnit. I knew something like this would happen...I tried to warn this stupid king but I was ignored.”
“My freedom...As long as Alpha and his bloodline are alive, I will never be free.”
Baryon was a weak treasure spirit despite being refined from a true elemental corpse.
He lacked the Alpha’s inheritance to be able to command all the power sources that an elemental could wield.
Being in a situation in which he had to forcefully comprehend all the elements at the same time almost made Baryon crazy.
In terms of battle power, Baryon himself was useless as his comprehension of the elements was comparable to a peak stage Omega god. A sliver away from comprehending a complete power source and ascending to the God level.
Without Alpha’s inheritance, he was useless.
It made him weak enough to be subdued by any God and he had landed in the hands of Darius.
In Darius’s hands, the staff could be used to unleash elemental power sources if enough origin energy was used. To an Origin God that comprehended the origin energy, it was easy to call on an infinite quantity of energy to forcefully unlock the staff’s power.
“What can I do?...”
Baryon facial expression was one of helplessness.
He yearned for freedom ever since his birth.
Unfortunately for him, he was born in captivity under Darius’s rule and even if he managed to escape, there was still the problem of Alpha’s bloodline that he was compelled to protect. He could do neither as he was too weak.

“How can I escape Alpha’s bloodline?...” Baryon thought.
“If I escape, I will just end up being subdued by another God. I am too weak...but if I stay, I will have wasted this opportunity. The King has yet to come back. I can still perform a minor teleportation. But where to?”
Baryon then adopted a solemn look.
“I am going to escape in the number one danger zone. The Stellar Styx.”
Baryon then appeared in the throne room beside the multicolored staff. He grasped the staff tightly.
He was shaking from head to toe as he said: “If I die in the Stellar Styx, it will be better than being a slave for the rest of my life.”
He teleported out of the palace.
Several hundreds of meters away, in another part of the palace, Devinn was preparing to teleport Azura in the Absolute Unity prime reality.
As the destination was weird and forced one to fuse with countless counterparts from other realities, Devinn had to explain to Azura everything about the prime reality governed by the Law of Absolute Unity.
The arcane will warned: ‘The energy signature that resembles Alpa and Alwyn just vanished.’
Devinn knew that it was the staff and did not care about it: “It’s probably the treasure spirit that is running away now that the King and the generals are incapacitated.”
‘Thirty seconds before the physical buff ends.’ The arcane will reminded.
Devinn currently had enough arcane energy for one teleportation.
Devinn himself could not enter as the prime reality was sealed in the crystal in his chest. He could, however, interact with everyone with his incarnations and puppets that he sent in.
“Arcane will. Teleport her out of here.” Commanded Devinn as he turned to face the trembling King.

Azura was teleported saying: “Thank you for saving me.” she was smiling as she vanished from the room.
The arcane will reminded: “Sir. Fifteen seconds remaining. I advise you to run as fast as you can as you will be in a weak state when the time runs out.”
Devinn was looking at the king wondering whether he should kill him or not.
“I’ll let Alpha deal with him in the future.” thought Devinn before he left the palace leaving the King alive.

Absolute Unity prime reality
Alpha and Lin had just got news that their daughter was safe and that she was on her way.
“I should thank Devinn in the future.” Alpha thought. He was having trouble restraining his tears of joy.
Lin then said: “We are lucky that Darius wanted to keep everything under wraps. If the other Royal clans had intervened, it would have been impossible to launch such a successful strike.”
“True. Now we have time to prepare for the next war. If we want to have a place of our own in the World of Gods. We cannot stay in the Absolute Unity Prime reality forever or we will become its prisoner as there will never be another world capable of withstanding our might.” Alwyn said.
Alpha nodded and said: “You have a point. Our bodies have long reached a power that is unmatchable and this prime reality keeps fusing realities every second.”
Kane who was waking up then said: “Only by being strong can we protect ourselves. Look at me. I’ve been in this Absolute reality for a while and still miserably lost against two humans.”
Devinn’s incarnation appeared saying: “They had an endless supply of origin energy. Don’t feel bad for losing.” He added: “You’re right though...I vote that you all stay inside this prime reality. There’s no need to care about the world outside. We must strengthen ourselves at the risk of being prisoner to this Law of absolute unity. What are we to do if a being stronger than Gods appears before us? We can only die.”
Alwyn said: “You’re going too far. How do you know that such beings exist?”
“Who created the world of Gods? He must be on another level of existence. Besides, this Law of absolute unity is the prime example. Us four are already physically stronger than the Gods themselves. I also have proof...”Devinn said.
“What is it?” Alpha asked intrigued.
Devinn said: “My arcane energy and bloodline keep strengthening themselves even without the Absolute unity prime reality. This reality just speeds up the process.”
There was an eerie silence before Alwyn said: “Your path is different from ours, yet it is weird to imagine that you’ll never reach the end.”
“Not weird at all. I find it interesting and frightening at the same time.” Devinn said.
A teleportation ripple was seen as Azura appeared in the middle of the group.
“Mother!” Azura said as she launched herself in her mother’s embrace.
Alpha looked at the scene with a smile. He could not hide the joy he felt as he finally met his daughter.
After a while, Lin said: “This is your father, Alpha.”
She’d never seen her father before but had heard many stories of him.
She approached and lightly bowed saying: “Hello, father.”

Ira’s Faithful
[On Hiatus due to health reasons] Synopsis: Fate has plans for everyone. There are many paths one can walk and many nodes one can unlock. Yet all mortal souls only start with one node. This has been the case for many years and while there are some records of people with more than one first node, these are as rare as wings on snails, roses made of air, or ropes made of dragon-hair. Elise Anker has two first nodes. She doesn't know why and the only one that could answer is an angry voice in her head. She hears it rarely and the voice is as helpful as a sword is effective against a Leviathan. She strives to become a mage, a knight or maybe something else entirely. The future is uncertain and unless she finds out what her nodes mean, she will never know what she wants to become. But her nodes won't unlock and the angry voice tells her that she needs to find a worthy foe to kill. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. I am also not a professional author. This is simply a rough draft and therefore subject to change. Furthermore, this fiction is rather slow-paced for a rather long time. But compare it to a bundle of dynamite, you wouldn't want that to explode right in someone's face, would you?
