Once the Rock Clam was killed, being crushed withinside Shao's mouth. He was quite content with his kill, after putting in so much effort into it, for just a mere little Clam. He bit into its flesh, chewing alongside the many shattered shards of its former shell.
Amongst the rummages of the former Rock Clam's corpse. Shao was chewing ecstatically after another hard-earned kill.
He felt something round and circular touching his tongue. It immediately gave off a warm and tingling sensation on his tongue. Once absorbed into his body, it immediately revitalizing and speeds up the healing of his body. Slowly, clearing away the sense of exhaustion he felt before. Unanimously, he swallowed the contents that are still withinside his mouth, alongside the glowing white pearl, that gave off a healing effect previously.
The glowing white pearl, then falls down into the long air pipe, right into his stomach. The strong stomach acid inside of Shao's stomach starts to tear apart the pear, breaking it down into its primary component.
White pearl then continues to give off a soft white glow, as cracks are starting to form on the surface. Once reaching near the end of its durability, on how much it could resist the strong gastro acid. It exploded and crumbles into bits and dust, releasing the profound energy that was withinside it, synergizing with the compounds of the pearl.
The white pearl is made of the same substance as its outer shell, calcium carbonate.
When an irritant, such as a grain of sand or pebble, gets stuck inside the Clam's body. The animal tries to ease its discomfort and irritation, by coating the speck in calcium carbonate, which hardens around it to form a pearl.
However, the pearl is a natural gem of mana conduit, which absorbs the abundant amount of mana energy, from under the ground earth and ocean sea floor. Over time, the Rock Clam's pearl would undergo transfiguration, becoming a sought of the relic, similar to a mana crystal.

Which is raw mana in its most purified and solid compressed state? Crystalizing under the high pressure of the earth, and the abundant amount of dense mana within the facility.
The raw concentration of mana energy then assaulted Shao's body, as he is then assaulted with pain, almost like he was burning alive. The pain keeps coming as he starts to scream in agony, panting constantly as a natural reaction to the mana burn.
A state in which the body isn't able to handle the high concentration of mana, injected into the user's body forcefully.
"Big brother... Big brother?"
Whilst, from the side, Reya is looking at Shao's painful figure worried. She couldn't do anything to comfort him, or much less make the pain go away. She was afraid of getting hurt if she got close to Shao, as he is wildly slamming his body around. He could accidentally hurt her, by going on a wild tantrum because of the mana burn.
The duration of the state of mana burn in which Shao is in. Slowly, subsided over time, as the intensity of the burning sensation of pain he feels, weakens slightly over the passage of time. Until it finally ceases to exist, burned out from his system.

The torrent of mana energies flowing through his body and veins, slowly subsided over time becoming a small river stream, flowing down throughout each and every corner of his body. It could possibly become overflowed at any time, due to the sheer amounts of mana withinside his body, and the speed at which it's coursing through his body.

He acquired several skills in the process, some are the basic necessary skills in controlling, and the manipulation of mana. The basic fundamental of magic, in which all magus needs in order to learn to cast magic.
The pain that he felt for so long, feels like hours of being slowly burnt alive in a pot when it is actually minutes. The state mana burn forces one's body to adapt to the new changes, destroying the muscles and flesh withinside one's body, and reconstructing it to fit the bare minimum amount of mana. Forcefully, widening and increasing the user's mana pool.
The process is unbearable. People with weak willpower would succumb to the pain and have their mind break down in the process.
The older one's body is, makes it a lot more difficult to survive the state of mana burn. As the muscle is not quick enough to adapt and heal, but rather deteriorate beyond the state of no repair.
Shao weakly opens up his closed eyes, while in a state of utter tranquility. After having obtained a new profound strength, difficult for a youngster like them to acquire. Rarely will monster ever learn how to use magic. Only by when they underwent a major evolution or variant, will they unlock magic corresponding to their race trait or class.
A slight blue glow emanates from Shao's eyes, as he looks over towards his surroundings. You could see the heightened intelligence growing within his eyes, as he calmly observes his surroundings, looking at the scared petite figure of Reya in the distance.
Reya hurriedly rushed over towards her brother, with great worry in her eyes. Crying at the sight of her once tormented brother. Seeing him in great pain, caused her heart to feel unrest and slight emotional pain.
Since he is the only one that took cared of her, feed her, protect her. Anything that an older brother should do. Much more as she sees him as a parental figure, to look up to. Seeing him in great pain previously, sent her into a state of panic, wandering on what to do, as she silently watches him from a distance.
"Big brother..."

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
