LavenderDaydream:
My entire body is screaming
Did you really do this too?
How are you alive?!
GreenBean:
Lol yeah I did it!
IDK prolly spite
LavenderDaydream:
You don’t have a spiteful bone in your body!
GreenBean:
Lies! I fight asshats in the streets!
LavenderDaydream:
Irrelevant. You said you cried last week over a cat.
GreenBean:
It was a kitten in a teacup! It was adorable!
LavenderDaydream:
I can’t believe you fight muggers and drug dealers.
I’d believe it more if you sat everyone down and made them reevaluate their life choices and guilted them into turning themselves in.
GreenBean:
Hey! I can kick butt when I need to!
…do you think talking to them would work?
LavenderDaydream:
Dear Kami…no! I don’t want your scary sister coming to kill me when you try that and get your head bashed in!
Just keep doing what you’re doing. They can get therapy after.
GreenBean:
Oh, I gotta go Toshi, make sure you stretch before bed or you’ll be dead tomorrow morning!
LavenderDaydream:
Don’t threaten me with a good time
But fiiiine I will
Good luck tonight, text me when you’re back so I know you’re not dead.
GreenBean:
I will! Thank you Toshi! Try to get some sleep!
Izuku grinned as he put his phone in his pouch, and pulled his mask up. “I’m all set, Yui-nee!”
“How’s your boyfriend?” Yui-nee was adjusting the bo staff holster on her thigh, before leaning down to lace up the steel enforced boots she had switched her sneakers out for.
Izuku threw a pillow at her, “Toshi is not my boyfriend! He’s just a friend…who happens to be a guy.”
“One you exchange memes with at two in the morning.” She smacked the pillow back at him, “And hey, no judgement, Dabi has a crush on the bird brain hero.”
“He does?!” Izuku pulled out the notebook he had made just for his family. In it he’d done a sketch on them, and started with the basics: age, birthday, blood relations and what he knew about their pasts.
Then he got into their Quirks, and suggestions and ideas on how to improve or where to cover weaknesses. Yui-nee had improved her time by a minute since they met, and they found out she could access memories but it took a lot of focus and strain on her mind and the one time she’d pulled up a memory on his mom, she had fainted, blood coming from her nose and eyes. So for now she refused to use her Quirk like that.
Or Dabi could use his flames on the bottom of his feet to propel himself, and make small flames on four fingertips and lengthen them to snap his arm out to form a whip!
Himiko didn’t have a scent unless she wore scented soaps or perfumes! Her natural body scent changed to match her transformations! She could even transform into one of them without drinking their blood first! Izuku had a theory it was because Himiko's body was somehow remembering or saving their genetic code because of all the times she'd had their fresh blood through her love nibbles. They had only found that out when Himi had eagerly declared she wanted to be Yui to prank Dabi when she'd spontaneously...changed into the teal-eyed girl with a shocked look on her face, the clay-like substance that came from her Quirk falling to the floor in clumps.

They all had such cool Quirks and helping them figure out different aspects about them was like a head rush! No one had ever tried any of Izuku’s ideas before, it made him feel…useful; that they listened to him.
After the Quirk section was their fighting style. Yui-nee had her own style that she said she learned by trying not to get hit, she’d never been trained in a dojo or by a professional. Dabi didn’t have a fighting style beyond punch, kick or burn my problems. He had started to learn kick boxing when they had started to yell at him. Himiko relied on erasing her presence and sneaking on people, taking them out from behind and getting people in complex holds.
The last part was about relationships, people they admired or hated. Himiko had the longest list of crushes while Yui-nee had the shortest. He wrote down the crush on Hawks in Dabi’s section. This notebook was written in a special code he and Yui-nee had developed. They’d made a new alphabet and the key had been burned once he’d memorized it, Yui-nee couldn’t read her own entry without her eyes crossing.
“You know if he ever finds out you write his crushes down, he’d burn that.” She leaned over the couch to watch him.
“Yeah, it’s a good thing you’d never tell him I do. Or I’ll tell him who dared Himi-chan to transform into him and do that K-pop dance. Or that you still have a video saved in the secret blackmail file.” He smiled up at her, his tone sweet and the warmth in those viridian eyes almost masking the steel of his villainy.
She raised her arms, “Fair ‘nough. You ready? Eraser is gonna be moody if we’re late.” He blinked, shutting the notebook before it went to its spot behind the bookshelf.
“Let’s go!”
He needed to work on his impulse control.
Eraserhead said this was just a stakeout. Gather information on people that might be connected to the gang that'd been trying to traffic people when Null had debuted. He wanted them there so Yui-nee could do her specialty and get the proof they needed to link this syndicate to the small group. As long as it resulted in victims being saved, and returned to their families...well, Eraserhead could look the other way, and he was there to make sure they didn't get into too much trouble anyway.
But they didn’t have any security cameras inside their warehouse. They’d ended up listening in through accessing their phone’s microphones. It was going fine until they could hear someone crying and a ruff voice yelling at them to shut up. When the crying got worse, they could all hear the slap through the phone.
Incensed Izuku found himself launching through one of the small windows, staff angled in line with his body the crackling end slamming into a man twice his size. Izuku caught a glimpse of boar tusks on his face as he was sent into a wall to the floor. His next assessing look glanced nineteen people at various spots in the room turning their focus on him, raising weapons or unleashing their Quirks.
The surroundings were a horror. There were people in cages in one corner of the warehouse, shipping crates stacked to the ceiling where fluorescent lights flickered unreliably, a couch, tables scattered around that held different weapons and…were those drugs? Yeah, those were drugs. Selling people and drugs, what the heck were these people working for?

A streak of teal and black slammed feet first into a woman with barbed hair that writhed, landing in front of him with her bo staff extended. “Thanks for the heads up, Null!”
Izuku jumped over a guy waving knifes around like a kid with sparklers, “Sorry Control!” The electrified end of his staff pressed into the guy’s neck, the knives clattering to the floor as he twitched and spasmed. He quickly ducked a fist from a guy with bright green hair.
“You are going to give me gray hairs,” Eraserhead grumbled, his hair floating as he flipped and jabbed and kicked, his capture weapon floating like a ribbon between villains before it snapped tight, knocking heads together as he sailed over them.
“Sorry, Eraser!” They chorused as they moved, the two of them staying near each other as they fought. Izuku yelped when his fist connected with a metal plate that rose from a thug’s arm.
He ducked, Yui-nee’s back rolling over his own before those steel-enforced soles crashed into his arm, smacking it into his face with a crunch. He swept the feet out from under a woman with...sickles? She had freaking farming sickles coming out of her hands. He kicked her head to knock her out, panting softly as he looked around.
The thugs were on the ground, knocked out or groaning. Eraserhead turned to look at them and at their thumbs up, nodded and started to restrain them. Izuku went to help when a hand on his arm stopped him.
Yui-nee raised the hand that had smacked into metal, “Let me see, Null.” He blinked, sure it hurt a bit but the reinforcement on the glove had held up. He still nodded, he could hear the tone through the voice modifier. You didn’t argue with that tone unless you wanted to be thrown on the ground. Or pushed off the balcony, as Dabi had learned. At least they lived only on the third floor and there were bushes right under their balcony.
He pulled off the glove, wriggling his fingers for her. The knuckles were a little red, but he could move them even if it was a little stiff. She sighed, “Good, I was worried it was broken. Last time you cracked a knuckle it took forever to heal.”
“It was only once!”
“You wouldn’t stop trying to write and making it worse! We had to dip your hand in plaster to make you stop.” She grumbled, moving to help with the glove before the clatter of supplies falling from a crate revealed a lean young woman frozen leaning forward from of their crouch. A weak speedster if if the hairstyle and lack of support gear was anything to go by. They all seemed to love that slicked back look and any powerful speedster would run the risk of liquefying under extreme forces without support gear.
The next few moments were a blur as she bolted not towards the unblocked broken window but the tables sweeping the red and green drug capsules into her arms. Yui grit her teeth, watching almost in slow motion as the burst of speed kicked up dust towards Eraserhead forcing his eyes shut even as he threw out his capture weapon blindly. She watched the speedster's eyes, how they bolted about the warehouse, towards the window and to the last table over holding a few more of the capsules topped with a small needle.
As if moving through molasses Yui positioned herself while the speedster scooped up the last remaining capsules in her hand while using the bottom of her shirt like a basket. With a last wild frantic glance towards the window she only realized Yui was airbound, intercepting her path, too late. With a strength borne of shock a wet thud echoed as her hand lashed out smacking the cool metal of the a green capsule against Yui's head as she tried to hit her away, dropping to the floor in a slide that due her under the teal haired vigilante. With a conflicted look back the young woman used her speed to flip through the window in a show of coordination that Izuku and Eraserhead would have appreciated more were it not for Yui skidding to ground bonelessly.
“Nee-chan!” “Control!” his and Eraser’s shouts echoed through the building before racing to her crumpled form. Together they slowly turned her over sighing in relief as her eyes began to focus on them, the empty capsule knocked loose with a shake of her head revealing a needle colored red.
“Control, are you okay?” Eraser couldn't help but lean into checking out the angry red welt where the needle capsule was so...energetically met with her head.
She nodded, “Yeah, it must have been a dud…” She frowned as red and blue lights appeared out the window, “Eraser…”
“Sorry, I had to call it in when someone jumped through the window. You two get out, I’ll handle the rest. Change into civilian clothes and get her to a hospital Null. We don't know what was in that capsule.” He squeezed their shoulders before turning to the thugs.
Yui-nee aimed the grappling brace, swaying ever so slightly before she was propelling through the broken window, Izuku right behind her. They ignored the shouts as they ran over rooftops, getting further from the warehouse. The place was on the outskirts of the city, they had just reached the docks when it happened.
Teal sparks had started to light up her body, and she fell, crashing into the top of a shipping crate. A scream ripped free from her throat, as her hair blazed from the roots to the tips in silver and teal light like a beacon. Her body writhed, her arms crossed in front of her body, her hands gripping her elbows until they shook.
“Yui-nee!” He swung to land next to her before her head snapped up and electricity sparked off her body, going straight for him before he scrambled back, grappling away to the nearest shipping container.
“Stay away!” The voice modifier popped and sparked before it gave out, the comm in his ear giving a high-pitched squeal before it went silent. “Stay back Izu!”

Silvergates: Northworld (Book 1 complete)
Five years ago, the first Silvergate was found. At first, they called it a hoax. But since then, more and more people have entered the alternate dimension called Northworld, received their Interface, and going on to real adventures. As it gained momentum, they called it a problem. Now, they call it a crime. But for nearly a half a million people, it's now their real home. Yearning. Escape. Duty. The reasons to go are many. Despite the criminalization of the Silvergating, people still seek out their ticket to Northworld. But for new Gaters Jasper Hill, Erika Haglund, Henry Esteban, Northworld has surprises in store. Not every rumor are false, not every conspiracy theory is stupid. When the veil lift for them, showing truths about Northworld that no one suspected, they may have a hard time making themselves heard. And being trusted may mean the difference between life or exile forever. Northworld is a litrpg story where people enter an actual world, submit to an RPG-type Interface, and discover an alternate reality. You could describe it as a reversible Isekai since people alternate between Earth and Northworld. The characters are usually casual about it, which means casual talk and the not-infrequent profanity. Four letter words dropped in conversation (or internal monologue). Warning: one potentially horrible theme and one implied sex scene. Book 1 is complete, as the title says. Book 2 is expected to start in 2022 (hopefully).
