Hi all,

Just a heads up that Part 4, which starts tomorrow, is the FINAL part of this story and there are only 5 chapters remaining. The end is nigh.

As I have mentioned before, this is a novel I wrote some time ago and it was always conceived as a piece with a definite end, not an ongoing episodic web fiction.

I usually write short stories and even then I struggle to find the time to finish a lot of them, even ones that are just a couple of thousand words or so. To complete a novel like this over a year was a huge personal achievement for me, one which I did not want to ruin with the idea that I may write a sequel or continue it indefinitely. This would almost certainly have resulted in me giving up somewhere along the line, and I think there is great value in your story coming to a point where you are satisfied to mark it as finished forever.

I realise this concept could have the potential to go on for longer, and my ending is a little bittersweet, and perhaps even premature, but those are the sorts of endings I enjoy reading and I was happy that my writing came to such a natural conclusion.

Hope you enjoy the last five chapters. There's still quite a bit of plot to go as one of the chapters is long enough to be its own decent-sized short story, but the countdown has begun.
