《The Billionaire's Proposal》We're Not Only Friends, We're Family

-"Good friends are great to have, fun to be with, and hard to forget."
I wake up swamped in my white duvet covers. I look at the clock and realize it was already eight. Adrian was going to kill me! I jumped out of bed and threw on the first thing I saw; a navy blue sleeveless top with a golden necklace incorporated with it, that hugged my chest and stomach, a white pencil skirt that ended a few inches above the knee, and a pair of beige heels. I run the brush through my hair, parting it to the right side and letting it fall into wavy curls. I quickly apply some light make up before walking downstairs.
"Fernando have you seen Adrian?" I question as I enter the kitchen which Adrian would usually be in by this time.
"Mr. McKeller already left miss." Fernando answered.
He wouldn't dare! Would he?
I storm out of the room and walk back towards mine. I grab my phone from the wooden drawer and dial in Adrian's phone number before pressing the call button.
There is silence on the other line and I can only hear Adrian's steady breathing.
I roll my eyes at his comment as I let out a long sigh.
His response takes me by surprise. He was kidding, he had to be!
Did I just hear him say 'at home'? He usually always saids, "at the house." I shrug it off and decide to go back to the kitchen.
"Where you able to locate Mr. McKeller, miss?" Fernando asked as I entered the kitchen.
I smile at him and nod in response.
"I'll have some scrambled eggs and bacon." I tell Fernando who nods and starts on my breakfast.
"Would you like some coffee as well miss?" Fernando asked and I nod.
"Jane!" Gabby's familiar voice exclaims causing me to turn around and find Gabby standing near the kitchen entrance.
"Hey Gabby," I stare as I walk over to her and give her a hug which she returns. "What are you doing here?"
"Better question is what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with my brother at work?" Angelica's dreaded voice questions as she appears in front of me.

"It doesn't matter, I'm glad she's here!" Gabby cheers. "I need your help! I have this date tonight but I don't know what I should wear? Can you come with me to go find an outfit?"
"Sure." I answer causing Gabby to grin.
"You just had to invite her." Angelica groans and I roll my eyes.
"Oh be quiet Angie, you were the one who wanted to tag along." Gabby retorts causing to mentally laugh.
"Miss would you still like your breakfast?" Fernando asks.
"No thank you, I'll just buy something to eat." I answer with a smile which he returns.
"Alright! Let's go." Gabby announces excitedly which causes me to giggle. I grab my navy blue leather bag on our way out and make sure to have everything I needed.

"Girls help me!" Gabby whined as she threw the millionth dress she's tried today on the rack.
"Gabby you've tried like a billion dressed already." Angelica answers with an exhausted and irritated expression on her face.
"Jane help meee." Gabby asked as she shook my arm.
I look around the room and a dress catches my eye.
"What does she know about fashion? Look at her outfit." Angelica mocked as she stared at my outfit disapprovingly.
I roll my eyes and answer, "I think my outfit is great and your opinion really doesn't matter to me."
"Girls stop fighting and help me." Gabby cried.
"I already found a dress perfect for you." I state causing Gabby to grin.
"Really?" She squealed and I nod.
"Let's see what she picked out." Angelica replies.
I lead the girls to the light blue dress I had spotted earlier.
"It's simple but cute and if you want to add a little more bling just place a gold bib necklace on. Plus the dress really compliments your eyes." I state causing Angelica's mouth to drop and Gabby to grin like a little kid. Who has the bad fashion sense now, huh?
"Oh my god Jane, your brilliant!" Gabby squeals as she hugs me and grabs the dress from the rack before running towards the changing room.

Gabby comes back with the blue dress that fit her perfectly. The blue dress definitely complimented her baby blue eyes and complexion.
"It's perfect." Angelica and me say in unison.
"You sure? What if Damon won't like it?" Gabby asked and in that moment my blood drained out of my body.
"Damon?" I choke out as I stare at her with wide eyes. "As in Damon Jacob?"
Gabby nods before asking, "Yeah, why?"
I had lost my words as I found a way to tell her, "Hey look, Damon and I may or may not have secretly dated but then he cheated on me and made me lose my job. Oh and this is another thing to add on to the your brother's list of reasons he hates me. So, don't go out with him!" Yeah, there was now way in hell I was going to tell her that.
"Gabby, Damon has a bad reputation with girls and I-I honestly don't think you should waste your time with a jerk like him." I slowly stare trying to stay calm.
"I hate to say this but I agree with her. Damon is a bad guy and I don't think you should go out with him." Angelica adds.
"I can and I will! Look Jane, I know you both of you are trying to look out for me but I am a grown woman! I can take care of myself!" Gabby thunders before storming away.
"Why does she have to be so naive and stubborn?" Angelica sighs as she walks after her sister.
Damn it why couldn't Damon have asked any other girl out but Gabby?!

"I don't care what either of you two have to say, I'm going on that date!" Gabby exclaims as we walk into Adrian's mansion.
"Gabby we're trying to protect you!" Angelica retorts. "Look, I didn't want to do this but I'm going to tell Adrian."
"No, don't tell him." Gabby pleaded. "Adrian can't know-"
"I can't know what?" Adrian's voice echoed through the main entrance hall. Soon a handsome looking Adrian walked into the room.
"Gabby has a-"
"Don't you dare!" Gabby whispers cutting Angelica's sentence short.
Should I tell him? Should I not?
"GabbyisgoingonadatewithDamon." I state causing everyone to stare at me with the look. I roll my eyes before stating,"Gabby is going on a date with Damon."
"You're what!" Adrian questions as his face forms a scowl. "No you're not!"
"Why are you guys making a big fuzz?" Gabby questions. "Aren't you suppose to be supporting this? Mom and dad would, Damon is a close family friend."
"No he's not." Angelica states.
"Damon has been stealing money from his family's company! Do you really want to date a bastard like him?" Adrian snaps.
"I-I didn't know that." Gabby answered as tears started swelling in her eyes.
"Well now you know why we don't want you dating that bastard." Adrian replies.
"We're just trying to protect you Gabs." Angelica answers.
Gabby bursts into tears and I walk over to comfort her. I wrap my arms around her and rub her back not caring that her tears were staining my shirt.
"We're not only friends, we're family." I whisper as I comfort her.
"And family stick together." Adrian adds as he hugs not only Gabby but me too causing sparks in my body.
"No matter what." Gabby states as she looks up at us.
"No matter what." I reply with a smile which she returned.
"Scooch over!" Angelica states half demandingly. "I want to be a part of this even if she's here."
I roll my eyes but just move over so Angelica had enough room to fit in. We all stood there hugging each other for what seemed life forever just enjoying each other's comfort and love.
