-3 Years Later-
Hector’s birthday was 4 days ago, and today he would be heading to the capital,”Skylar”.
Lennor and Alice have already been taken to the capital by their parents weeks ago to prepare for the try outs.”Hector honey, come here!” his mom called him. Hector walks towards his mom and says,”Yeah, mom?”. She then continues “You remember what your dad said 3 years ago right?”, she asks and he nods. His father barely visits and ever since that day 3 years ago he hasn't visited them ever since.”You will be going to the north of the capital to search for Burich, he is one of your father’s friends and he will help you get stronger. I have paid a small wagon to take you there, and he is right outside waiting.”
“But before you go” she paused and pulled him into her arm hugging him tightly.”Please be careful, and remember.... Make us proud!” She kept hugging him a while longer and then let go.
“Now go, we don't want to keep that man waiting.” she waved him goodbye as he walked outside to the wagon.
Right now Hector was going through a mixture of emotions. He didn't want to leave his mom behind, but that’s what every kid did at the age of 16. Every kid wanted to become a knight, and at the age of 16 all of them tried out for an academy, But majority chooses to tryout for Skylar Academy, since it was the best academy in the nation. The ones that don't make it to Skylar Academy, ends up trying out for other academies in hope of becoming a knight.
Hector was also happy to be leaving this small town. He spent all of his life here and never got to explore anywhere else, to Hector it felt like he was a bird finally learning to fly. The wagon was shaped like a box, handmade with wooden planks. The wagon only possessed one window and one door, compared to the wagons used by the nobles this was junk. To Hector this wagon was fine, if it got the job done he would be satisfied. There was a horse in front of the wagon tied to the wagon and an elderly looking man sitting in the front of the wagon.” Hey there buddy, get in. Your mom already told the destination, just sit back, relax and wait.” The bearded man said.

Hector enters the wagon and sits on the wooden seats,”This ride will be uncomfortable.” hector thought to himself. As the wagon began to move he looks outside the window and sees his mom in front of their home waving him goodbye, he waves back. As the wagon was leaving the town Hector didn't want to look out the window, if he looked memories of home would come to mind. Him, Lennor and Alice playing by the lake, but his two closest friends were already in the capital.
Hector was lucky, his town was one of the closest to the capital and it would take about a few days to reach it. Some people travelled months to reach the capital. The wagon have finally left the town, as he looked out of the window there was nothing but trees everywhere he looked. Hector began to think”Will I make it?” Even though Hector was a bit skinny, he was tall. When hector was a kid his father would teach martial arts to him in so he could defend himself, but would that be enough to make it into the academy?.
His mind began asking questions. Will his friends make it in with him?, What if they don’t?, Who exactly is this Burich guy?. Hector grabs the necklace that his father gave to him 3 years ago. Ever since that day, Hector noticed a red sphere shaped jewel in the center of the golden cross, there were also strange writing on it, but Hector was never able to figure it out. Hector knew that the necklace was a special weapon but he was never able to release it and use it.”Where did my Father find this?” he began to ask himself.
Night time arrived and Hector began to feel tired. After thinking so much his mind needed a rest and with a blink of an eye he fell asleep.

Tower of Somnus
When humanity first encountered alien life, we were judged and found wanting. The Galactic Consensus interviewed our leaders and subjected us to a battery of psychological tests to determine our progress as a society. They found us to be selfish, wasteful, impulsive, and boorish neighbors. Earth was blockaded and our collective encounter with our extrasolar neighbors rapidly faded from memory. All they left behind was a hypercomm relay and a handful of subscriptions to a massively multiplayer game that participants played in their sleep. The Consensus said that it would let us interact with our neighbors in a controlled setting. That it would teach us to be better members of the galactic community. The megacorporations that controlled Earth ignored the game until they learned that the powers earned from clearing dungeons were just as real when day broke. Magic, supernatural abilities and rumors exploded from nothing and a subscription to The Tower of Somnus became a status symbol. Katherine ‘Kat’ Debs doesn’t have much, but it could be worse. Born in an arcology, she was assigned a job in the megacorporation that raised her almost as soon as she could work. Despite the stability of her corporate life, she wanted something more. A chance to claw her way up the rigid social and financial ladder to make something of herself. A chance that wouldn’t come naturally to someone as familiar with dark alleyways and the glint of steel as she was with office work and corporate niceties.Book One is up on Kindle Unlimited as of 7/6/22 - https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B0B2X3L8H5

Invader Zim >> Not Just a Defect <<
First of all, this is my first Invader Zim story. Second of all, I never even watched the show when it first came out, considering I thought I was too old to be watching a Nickelodeon TV show. It wasn't until a couple weeks ago when one of my favorite YouTubers, Saberspark, did a review on the new Invader Zim movie. He said a lot of good stuff about the show, and how much he love jt, so I decided to give it a try. I immediately started loving the show after watching the movie first (should have started with the TV show, but I wasn't thinking at the time and wanted to see ehh Saberspark liked it so much (>w>)) Anyway, this story will be taking place AFTER the movie, Invader Zim Enter the Florpus. It will be taking place a couple weeks, maybe a month, after the Florpus incident, so not much would have changed. Again, if you know the artist of the Cover Art used for this story, please tell me so I could credit them properly. Anyway, I hope you'll all enjoy this story as much a I will enjoy writing it (^v^/) (Don't worry I ask permission to post and share it's book it belongs to Veronika1930) https://www.wattpad.com/story/199046111-invader-zim-%E3%80%8Bnot-just-a-defect-%E3%80%8A
