Chapter-8: Heavy injury, Opportunity and Letting guards down.
Orion threw dozens of kicks and punches already, and Agun successfully blocks all of this. The thing is Orion doesn’t have any martial art technique, all he can do is the street fight, and that’s the reason Agun could defend him successfully.
But there is a problem, Agun was breathing heavily and if you want to rub more, his single punch still didn’t connect to the body of Orion.
Orion’s battle sense is good; he can evade Agun’s fast attacks just with his instinct. The reason is he has the blood-line of wolf-kin.
At last Agun got fatigue after defending countless kicks and punches. And Agun started to get injuries. He’s hand already sullen and blood gushing out from his mouth.
Agun got careless one time which was greater opportunity for Orion. Agun mistakenly slips his right leg a little and that was the moment Orion used his elbow to smash Agun’s face especially nose.
Agun’s nose had broken. When he tried to touch his face with agony he was kicked by Orion and flew from there. He heavily buried in the arena’s tiles.
But surprised thing is even though Agun got heavy pain he didn’t groan a single time. But still he couldn't even stand up in his first try.
Orion sneered toward him,
“Is that it? Is that all you have got? First when I comfort you, I thought you can battle hand to hand combat equally with me. But if you smashed like that because you make a simple mistake then this academy is not for you.”
“Who said I was smashed?”
Actually, Orion was provoking Agun, he thought Agun will get angrier and fight with him like a mad man. And Agun was responded the provoking but with the calm head.
Looking his eyes it was clear that Agun was thinking for countermeasure. He was observing for Orion’s weakness from beginning. There are many weaknesses was caught into his eyes but sadly he wasn’t the level to use those weaknesses against him. But at last, for his last mistake he found one.

Agun clear the blood which was gushing out from nose to mouth with back of his hand. He then said,
“I am a coward, if I got smashed easily in a first attack from my enemy I never do battle with them in first place. But you successfully smashed me after many tries that mean I am resisting you and not to mention you are also breathing heavily now. I have a chance; even if I connect one punch to you, I will be satisfied enough.”
“Heh, that’s the thing I want to hear, now come at me, and show me you can punch me hard. If you can do that, you are the winner.”
Orion laughed happily like he was truly enjoying it.
To Orion’s invitation, Agun runs closer to him and threw a random punch by jumping which was easily blocked by Orion.
And again loop fight like before started, punches, kicks, blocks or Agun got injuries. Agun was waiting for an opportunity, opportunity for slipped again and he does.
He was slipped like before even though it was the mistake like before but it was what Agun expecting. This is how Agun wants things to go.
By seeing him slipped again Orion gave a laugh and tries to smash like before. But Agun was waiting for that, it was opening for not Orion but Agun.
Agun entangle his 10 fingers of hands each other making a fist and perform his most used special martial art Double Fist Boulder and which was finally crashed onto Orion’s chest like a hammer.
Its impact was too great that even normal third level Raider dies, but Orion was a genius who can surpass one level and fight with a fifth level Raider. But even he couldn’t escape it with minor injury. He flew from there and spins ten or more time and when finally his body stopped spinning his body, he was covered in bruises and coughing blood.
Agun couldn’t connect a single punch because those are always blocked by Orion’s hands or legs. Orion’s hands and legs were too sturdy that it was doubtable if he was having even slight pain. And for Double Fist Boulder Agun required time and position what he couldn’t done middle of battle. But when Agun mistakenly slipped for the first time he saw when Orion’s right elbow was coming then his left hand was behind his back and his legs were in air for because of his small jump. He didn’t do this for the first time it’s clearly shown that it was his habitual street fighting style. But his chest was full of opening even if he wants to block it’ll be too late by then. And because Agun was observing he got injured heavily or he could defend it by his hands.

Agun didn’t slip intentionally second time because Orion might find his plan or if his slipping was not like before Orion might not does his habitual street fight style where an opening is. That’s why he fights Orion which seems like a loop of fight before slipping and when his slipping loop come that was when he got a chance to injure him.
“Seems like, it’s my win.”
Agun said with satisfying tone and stood in front of Orion.
Remember Agun was inexperienced in actual fight. So he did have little idea how cruel his opponent can be. And that’s where his biggest flaws are.
Yes, it’s really few times he heard, never let your guard down.
Agun’s right hand had already fled from where it should have been. His right cheek with an eye was already damaged.
Agun didn’t even understand and know what happened all he can groan in pain.
But when he saw with his Orion was standing in front of him with a sword in his hand he understood what happened. He was slashed by his sword. It was too fast to see with his visual sight, no doubt he was faster than 300 kph.
Orion laughed with madness,
“Compare to hand to hand combat you are better than me, if we were at the same level you might defeat me with hand to hand combat easily. You win. But that’s not mean you won the battle.”
Yes, he never said that i can win the battle because i can punch him once. Agun said to himself. But he asked,
“But you said you never will use a weapon.”
“I said I will not use the stellar weapon, to seeing your blocked at first time I thought there might possibility you better me at martial art. That’s why I said I will not use the stellar weapon, but I also hidden the fact that I will use sprite weapon. For your information I never underestimate my opponent. You are not an exception.”
‘Yes, he said that he won’t use stellar weapon, that doesn’t mean he won’t use sprite weapon. Damn! I thought I was good at observing and countermeasure but I am still rookie at that.’ Agun bitterly thought to himself.
“So will you give up or fight me?”
Orion asked.
“Of course I will. If it was a real world, I would have fled already somehow. But if it is in Doppelgänger Reality, there is no way in hell I will give up.”
[Author note: If you missed the fact it’s for you, you won’t die in the real world even if you die thousands of time in Doppelgänger Reality.]
Agun said with a strong voice. He didn’t say that because he was manly, he said that because every battle moment in this realm is the experience for him.
“Good, you are the kind of opponents I like most.”
Orion said with excited voice by tapping his sword. And Agun also takes a stance of Western Martial Art who’s one hand was missing.
And when they started to run, they were forcefully transferred to the real world.

A Goblin's Blade (dropped)
He looked down the path, which was littered with many things. Things he found in abundance were such of violence, desire and gore while things he found in scarcity were such of love, friendship and glory. At the start of the path was a naive, green goblin while at the end of it... Well at the end of it stood him: the godslayer, the monster from the forest, the walking death... He had many names but none so that perfectly captured his image as well as the Mad King. Authors note: Edit: Trying to release a chapter per day, around 2-2.5k words each. An evolution story about a goblin. This is under lit-rpg but I'm focusing more on the plot/characters instead of the usual features of such stories such as the blue tables that take ages to make or the stat screens. In essence it's closer to high fantasy than lit-rpg. Much appreciated if you read the Prologue to see whether you like it or not. Cover image is "Evolution" taken from art done by WhoAmI01

Just a Game
“A great corruption is spreading. The people cry out for a savior. For a hero. For YOU! Come join the fight, as the chosen of World Tree! Receive the blessings of the gods, battle fierce monsters, and become the hero you were meant to be, in Arcanum Online!” It was the cheesiest commercial Ethan had ever heard, but the gameplay was enough to draw him - and thousands of others - to the fantasy world of Lazuros. It’s the sort of place that can really draw you in - a huge open world, a deep character customization system, and a feature that makes time pass slower inside the game, extending your limited playtime! It was a little strange, though. As if it was a bit too realistic for a game of swords and sorcery. The NPC’s seemed almost alive, most quests didn’t reset and monsters respawned slowly. Still, for all it’s quirks, it was a good game! Just a game. And nothing more. …right?
