《Spatial storage of all things ( Dropped )》Chapter 41: A mission with Ozz (2/3)

The monster that dropped got out of the room, while the other three stayed in. Somehow, it emanated an aura of confidence, as if this would not be a fight but a hunt. Fully out of the room, the monster first shot multiple jets of ink, which Luke easily evaded and Ozz just absorbed. Still feeling that something was wrong, Luke used the haunting march to retreat a bit then fire two dark lasers, one where its mouth is and the other just in case it evaded.
As he thought, it evaded the one that seemed the most dangerous but was hit by the other. This earned it half of its body disintegrated and the other half mysteriously keeping the internal explosion at bay. Frowning as even with the surprise factor the monster wasn't killed, Luke this time sent dark slashes its way. As they are harder to evade, both hit but the monster was able to restrain the explosion and send it upwards, creating a big hole.
Ozz who wasn't idle either once again sent his purple fluid ball but as he did, the monster also absorbed his. This seemed to greatly anger him as he said " Ozz, alone "
Nodding, Luke stayed back and began to just observe the fight while thinking ' At this time, the other monsters still didn't come out, should I kill them or should I respectfully wait until the end of the fight? Hmmm… ' The hostages are trapped in an underground room with angry-looking tentacle monsters, what could possibly go wrong?...' I should just check on them, don't want to fail the mission. '
Using haunting march, Luke bypassed the monster and got inside the room where the remaining monsters were on the hostages, doing things he didn't want to know about. Getting near them, Luke focused the best he could while activating his eyes power, forcing the space waves to aggregate on them, holding them in place. Then, he quickly took the hostages, which he threw out by the newly created hole which relied the 90 meters deep underground corridor to the ground.

This three seconds long action emptied his mana reserves. Sighing at the absurd cost of this action, which is what he accidentally performed after trying to use his eyes powers at max power in his room, Luke simply sent three dark lasers, ending the fight and blasting the room. Unlike his normal nukes-dark blasts, dark slash and dark laser, once inside the body don't affect the surroundings that much.
As the explosion is concentrated, the power which destroys the body is incomparably higher than the dark blast. This thought made his eyes widen as he remembered this fact, he was sure that no tier 2, or even beginner tier 3 could survive it. Getting a bad feeling, Luke ran towards the face-off while chugging down mana replenish potions. And as expected, the monster was winning as Ozz was continuously pushed back. But what was worrying was that it was just playing.
Instead of actively trying to kill Ozz, it was just pushing him around, wounding him then retreating. As it sensed Luke come back, from who it actually felt danger, the monster, as if done playing, displayed its aura. Its tier 3 aura which greatly weighed on Ozz's and Luke's souls. Repressing the instinctual and primal fear coming from his soul, Luke dashed towards the monster, jumped to the left wall, propelling himself past the monster. He circled it to protect Ozz.
Not having much fighting experience, the toddler would be killed way too quickly if Luke didn't protect him.
As he faced the monster, Luke was torn between two options: either he accepted the end of the mission as the difference in stat between a mid-tier 2 and a probably low tier 3 was way too extreme or he keeps fighting, allowing himself to gain fighting experience. Smiling as the first option shouldn't even cross his mind, Luke took Ozz and threw him out of the corridor, the farthest possible.

He then readied his daggers again as he activated his newly named space bind, which wasn't recognized as a spell. Held in place, the monster couldn't do anything as multiple dark lasers came its way. The hole and internal explosions, even though suppressed still damaged it further as Luke aimed for the mouth part.
Ending his space bind just after the attacks successfully landed, Luke used his haunting march but stayed in place. He wanted to launch a dark laser at its weak point once again but knew this wouldn't be enough.
Once unrestrained, the tentacle monster divided itself with some tentacles quickly disintegrating just after. It seemed like this was how it kept the explosions at bay. Each tentacle then slithered to Luke, with a speed he couldn't keep up. Encircled, Luke sent thousand dark blasts all around him, buying himself time, but at the same time destroying the corridor; and most likely anything in a 50 meters radius.
The tentacles were just pushed back though and they once again slithered to Luke, who used the explosion to get to the ground level. Once there, he threw the bodies of team Shadow reapers further away. Then, he spotted Ozz currently forming the biggest purple fluid ball he ever saw, not that he saw any before Ozz's previous ones. Ozz then threw the ball down the hole, from where the tentacles were about to jump out.
