Dukedom

Duke Kalius POV

It was the first time that I met this many team especially the teams of descendants. I can see that they lacked of ethics and manners when speaking or taking audience with me. I didn`t need to fuss more about this matter but I have to inform some officials to teach guild teams about ethical manner when seeing nobles.

The junior team of Arth is still good as the last time I saw them. The achievement might helped them become gold plated members but they`re still too young for that in a way.

The descendant will be staying here before they go to different kingdoms and territories so I can have plenty of time to evaluate them and know their purpose and mission. Arth said that they are the best from the rest so these teams might become a big impact when this year ends and the second coming arrive.

Days later after their arrival, they are still going around doing monster extermination and dungeon diving but the matter that made me anxious is that most of the teams are only focus on subjugation and has less time within the Dukedom. I can`t force them to stay at one place still I need more information about them.

The guards and guild workers that my subordinate have talked to said that they are just focus on monster killing and training which is understandable if we are at war but it was time of peace. Maybe they are planning to make their own kingdom or empire as the Head Priestess said from our emergency meeting.

Five kingdoms currently occupy the whole continent but still some places that are untouched due to monster infestation and powerful dungeons.

I have to prepare everything even sending a messenger to the kingdom just to inform the capital about the early arrival of the descendant. I know the king is expecting them but they might travel faster than expected.

Now that I think about it, the clockwork haven`t reach the Dukedom if he is one of the conqueror of the dungeon. Maybe, Arth is still holding him back for some reason. The Head Priestess is still on the temple up north but she might go here as soon as she hears the news. I should prepare the most trusted and strong team of knight to guard her.

Head Master Mouvin POV

“Welcome to everyone to the Estonia Guild Branch, and I`m Head Master Mouvin of the Tea Guild of this Kingdom. To the people who knows me please ease yourself, I`m just visiting here. And for those descendant team, I`m the one that hold the highest position of the guild here in Aurum Kingdom.”

The descendant looks promising but most of them have their mana leaking all over the place. *sigh* I thought the three of them supervise them carefully. I should convey this matter to Duke Kalius so when the time comes that they will use the warp gate, they won`t get hurt or teleported on the wrong place. Maybe I should include the other Class mentor about this but I`m sure they will notice this.

“Thank you, Head Master.”

The junior teams are well trained but Luin and Gariadak still need some disciplinary lesson about their attitude. At least the descendants have some sense of authority with them.

“To the silver teams, you achievement is recognized but you`re not still qualified for the promotion. As for the rest, you can participate with the subjugation mission of the knights or do it by your own team. We won`t force you to stay but you may learn things while being here. Other information will be told to you when the Guild Master Fabrizia comes from her exercise.”

The looks from the faces of the juniors are dreary. They still remember her training regimen and disciplinary action, good for them. Fabrizia will enjoy herself teaching these kids or maybe chasing them. I can`t change her habit about this.

“Was there any question that you would like to ask?”

“Me”

Very confident. Some are still nervous and reluctant to ask their queries.

“Yes, young elf what is your question?”

“I`m Sagitta Foris, Leader of Watchers. I would like to ask if we could travel to other kingdoms.”

“First, I`ll inform you that using last name is not forbidden but if you`re meeting nobles and knight don`t state it only if you have attain knighthood, peerage, or become gold plated members of the guild. It was not an offense to say your last name but it was a form of disrespect if you`re meeting nobles without any of those.

As for your question young elf, you could travel but the lands beyond dukedom is not very dangerous except from certain places but you can also use the Warp Gate near the Inner wall before you enter the High street of nobles. There are circumstances for you before you can enter. However, once you enter that gate, no coming back. It was built for arrival of people like you so choose wisely, where you will start your journey. Also you need to learn how to control your mana so it won`t affect the gate, better asked some magician here to learn more about this matter.”

“Thank you, Head Master.”

“Is there any more questions? None, then I’ll take my leave. Before, I forgot Gerhard and the rest of you could stay here for a while according to Arth. So take your time while you`re here.”

I walked out of the building leaving the new teams discuss on their next step. It was livelier than the last few years where only few people are taking this job. Guess the new era is coming. As I sat inside the carriage waiting for me, and looked back to the guild. My only prayer for the gods is that to guide these young children to good and don`t let them be succumb with their desires.

“To the Castle, I`m meeting the Duke there before we leave.”
