《The Confused Explorer》Chapter 13: Bitter Sweet Victory and Another Testing

The sound of heavy metal clashing together sounded repeatedly, and with each clash the cave shook very strongly making it seem like small earthquakes were resounding each time.
The once beautiful scenery became ruined with the clash of a titan and a golden bird as they didn't pull any stops in order to protect that which they believed in, however even throughout all of this the waterfall wasn't touched once by the destruction.
Turul and the knight brought out all the strength they had in order to best the other, Turul could no longer do any sneaky moves like he had done with the already dead one since the knight was watching him closely and reacted immediately to either dodge or to swing a perfect arc at Turul forcing him to move away and continue the head on clash.
Mike stood or half laid at the edge of the room as he watched another large battle involving Turul, however this time Turul wasn't with the advantage since they were evenly matched, and he couldn't use his elements to his advantage that well in this confined space and the earth wouldn't be able to hurt the knight that much.
As the knight swung his sword he also didn't stop using other moves such as either bringing up its other hand to swat at Turul like a large fly or to throw large amounts of rocks and other things mixed together at Turul.
Even though Turul was naturally strong and had the ability to kill any creature below him, he was still a newborn pretty much only being 'born' about 3 days ago and he wasn't used to fighting in such a way, he desperately needed to adapt in order to win.
With the scanning in process, Mike could only wait and hope that it gave out something helpful in order to give Turul the boost he needed. Mike's new found powers were still so under developed that he had no idea if they'd be of any use for this skirmish, and even if they were he'd have no idea how to use it to do that.
No matter what Mike and Turul wanted to do, the fight continued and wouldn't stop as the knight was out to kill no matter the sacrifice.
The ground trembled, lifted, and morphed into a wave directed at the knight, this wave was as tall as the cave itself scarping the top of it releasing a horrible sound, and with swift and practiced movements the knight cut a hole through the wave and burst through towards Turul releasing another swing of its sword.
Connecting, Turul bounded towards the cave wall again, but Turul used this to his advantage allowing him bound off the wall with a powerful burst under the camouflage of dust and rock speeding towards the knight once more.
As Turul flew towards the knight with what could only be described as a blur, he once again gathered the element of air on his wing in order to release a burst of power.
With a cloud of dust now leaving him, the knight saw the power in Turul's wing and like veteran and quickly reacted and tried too dodge towards the side in order to avoid it, however by the time the knight realized it was too late, with a large cry Turul once again brought down his wing releasing a arc of light faster than sound.

Hitting the knight square in the middle of his waist it passed through it like he was never there, and with a large boom the knight fell over. As the knight crumbled and fell into a pile of regular stones and sand it turned its head towards the waterfall, releasing the first sound it had ever made that wasn't movement, the knight had muttered similar to a wail reaching for the waterfall shaking before losing its power and falling into a pile of rocks.
Mike watched as Turul dropped to the ground, and rushed to catch him. Running as fast as his legs could carry him Mike cared more about Turul than himself since he was the reason he was alive and well, especially mentally since without anybody or anything to talk too Mike would have gone crazy by now. Turul was a true friend that Mike had never had before, even if he was a bird him and Mike were allies and Mike was willing to do anything in order to keep Turul alive and well.
Jumping and catching him, Turul dropped into Mikes arms weakly as he slept peacefully, needing to rest up from just battling two very powerful enemies all by himself.
Sighing Mike looked more relaxed after seeing that Turul was only sleeping.
Mike knew deep down that there was no way that there was only a broad bear to protect something that awesome, he just didn't want to believe and hoped he was wrong. No wonder nothing since now had managed to get that Elemental Star Light if a legendary bird, even if newborn, had to exhaust himself just to kill the guardians protecting it, nothing else would be able to even touch it.
Looking around, again Mike sighed, he kind of wanted to use this cave to sleep in since it was so comfy, but now it looked like a battlefield that it was with deep pits in the ground and all over the walls along with mounds of earth everywhere.
Strangely or naturally the waterfall and the flora surrounding it was completely unharmed, it seemed those knights cared for it greatly and would rather sacrifice an arm or leg than have that area hurt in any way.
Glancing at the progress bar of The Explorers Log it seemed it was almost done scanning and it still was progressing even though the two knight returned to rock and sand, speaking of the knights it felt kind of like a bittersweet victory.
Those two knights fought Turul because they, with all their conviction, wanted to protect something close and dear to them. It felt sad to watch that knight not care for its own brother or itself but to care so much about whatever that waterfall was or what it represented, that in its final moment it reached out to it with the first time Mike had ever heard either of them make a noise that was one of sadness.
With a ring, Mike was pulled from his own thoughts to stare down at the now finished screen. The knights were called 'Guardians'.
--Guardians: These creatures are born when they are made with extreme emotions, and a high mana concentration. Once born they are made to follow the emotions in which they were born with and follow the dreams of their creator. These creatures, if wanted, can be very powerful, with the right emotion and right making they can become terrifying foes. They can come in any shape or form made of any material as long as there is sufficient mana. The reason these creatures are called Guardians is because they 'guard' their creators hopes and dreams and follow through with them for their creator.

Surprised Mike had thought they were going to be something similar to Golems not something kind of beautiful like that. To be fair they were similar to golems, maybe they were the golems of this world but this seemed like something that was heartwarming instead of being made for killing or for labor.
With this description however it meant that someone made these two guardians and felt an extreme emotion for this waterfall or what it meant to them. Mike kind of felt bad for barging in here and taking what was something so important to someone else that they made two giant statues with their emotions for it.
Getting up, putting down Turul, and walking over to the waterfall, Mike bowed deeply for coming in here and taking something from someone else who had loved it deeply, but Mike would have to take more since this was his ticket into becoming stronger and being able to achieve his new dreams with Turul, side by side.
Crouching down, Mike took hand cups full of the Elemental Star Light and drank, Mike drank so much that he felt bloated, he drank so much that the waterfall looked smaller, however Mike continued to drink and drink until he had almost thrown up some.
Swallowing the last bit he could take, Mike sat down in front of the waterfall with a bloated belly and a heart of guilt over doing something like this. Resting for only a few minutes to get his bearing, Mike continued to drink.
This process continued for hours until Turul finally came to again, however Mike still continued, if he was going to take, he was going to take it all and leave none for someone without a heart to come and gain from it. At least he feels bad for doing this, however Mike was going to finish this.
After hours of drinking, resting, and repeating there was no more waterfall for Mike to drink from, or pool to drink from, though the Star Light tasted sweet and fiery at first it quickly became bland and even slightly disgusting, though not as much as the fish he had made.
Mike felt like crying and throwing up from all that he drank, however he had to keep it in. Falling to the still soft moss covered floor, Mike closed his eyes for the second time here, however this time there was no excitement, okay maybe there was a little excitement but Mike still felt bad for doing that to someone he had never met or known before so he'd have to make it up to them if he could.
✵
'Waking' up once again in the gray sea, Mike looked at the gray gas that surrounded him. The gas looked a lot thicker, probably from drinking all of that Elemental Star Light, and there seemed to be a lot more of it.
pushing away his thoughts from earlier and willing the gray gas away so he could see, all there was around him still was a smooth gray floor and gray gas and that was it, this was the perfect location to test some things out.
Mike started immediately with creating various objects from random household objects from his world or weird animals and creatures from both mythology and from memory.
As Mike looked around at some of the creatures fighting or trying to work microwaves and toilets Mike laughed looking at the dragon working a toaster, and the mermaid trying to wear a dress as well as the lion yawning and resting on a tipped over refrigerator. Decomposing all of it Mike still felt relatively energetic, so he wanted to test out what exactly his power was besides being able to make anything he wanted in his sleep, though he had an idea on what it might be.
Mike decided to go small for the first testing, he conjured up a flask made of a mix between metal and wood. Then Mike willed himself out of the gray sea and wished for the flask to come with him to reality.
As the gray sea bent, and warped then popped Mike looked at the now slightly destroyed ceiling of the cave. Holding his hand up, Mike was still holding the flask. Searching all about it excitedly and making sure everything about it was perfect, Mike jumped around in excitement for being able to create things in his dream.
As Mike held up the flask with both hands in front of him thinking of all the possibilities, it exploded into a smoke of gray gas before dispersing.
Shivering a little, Mike awoke from his excitement and stupor realizing what had just happened was obvious. He could create anything in his dreams but it would only last a certain amount of time, how that was decided Mike had no idea. How much he could create or what he could create and bring to reality Mike also had no idea.
Turul just stared at Mike go through many stages of emotions through eagerness, to excitement, then confusion, until he reached realization. He had managed all of these emotions in about 4 seconds which was an amazing feat.
Just as quickly as going through his emotions, Mike ran over to the ground beside the confused Turul and laid back down wanting to go back to the gray sea and before Mike realized it he was staring at the gray sea again.
"It seems like I can switch between here and reality in an instant whenever I want too." marking that too memory Mike once again willed for an area of clearance and started back up on his tests.
Mike decided that if he was gonna create he was going to test the limits of what his power could do, so he willed for the area to turn into a natural forest that he knew from his old world, a jungle.
Once the scenery changed with a swirling mass of gray blocking his vision, Mike saw a natural jungle with everything about it perfect except for there being no animals.
Mike was ready to create and see how well his imagination dictated over actual facts of how animals reacted in a either foreign environments or their natural environment and if this power of his worked on memory, facts, or both.
