《My RPG System》Chapter 4: RPG System

After an unknown amount of time, I opened my eyes.
Realizing quickly my vision was a bit blurry, I closed and opened them a couple of more times to see clearly. Once done, I took a look around to see where I was. I was in my room upstairs. It was a decent sized room with a king size bed with black sheets. The walls were white with white trim. I had a desk to right of the bed and a mirror on the opposite wall. There was a window facing the rear of the house. After I recognized my surroundings, I tried to remember what happened.
I was waiting on the awakening, and then it started. I made it passed the first two stages successfully albeit with a bit of trouble. The third started and then I don't remember anything after. I should have awakened. I just have to see what it is. It better be damn good.
Just as I was about to search around in my head for the information on my awakened ability, the door to my room opened and my parents walked in carefully, as if trying to be careful to not wake me up in case I was still asleep. I turned to them with a small smile.
Me: "Hey. How long have I been out? I just woke up a few minutes ago."
Mom: "3 hours or so. How are you feeling? Any discomfort or pain? Feel any changes?"
She asked that while walking over and looking me over up and down.
Me: "I feel fine. I don't feel any discomfort. The only change I can feel so far is a lot of strength and energy I have not felt before. Is this what it feels like to awaken and gain power?"
My dad gave a chuckle and smiled at me.
Dad: "Yes. it feels great doesn't it? Wait until you start using your ability and feel yourself growing stronger. It feels even better. It feels better than se..."

Before he could finish what he was saying, my mom dashed over toward him and gave him a hand chop on top of his head and giving him a disapproving glare. I chuckled at this, while my dad grinned and softly apologized with no real sincerity, further increasing the glare from my mother. My father then turned back towards me with a grin.
Dad: "Since you just woke up, I guess you haven't seen what changes your body went through yet? Check it out. You'll be very surprised. It gave your mother and I quite a shock too after you came out of the cocoon. Also, you better be careful moving and walking. After awakening, one tends to be a bit clumsy and unused to the new body a bit."
I raised by brows wondering what kind of change could have made my parents feel shocked. My brain wondered in excitement as I started moving and trying getting out of bed. I tested out my movements first. I tried moving my legs and arms one at a time, seeing if I felt different or unusual when using them. Surprisingly, moving them seemed even easier than before. It seemed that my strength really did increase. Next I sat up and threw my legs over the side of the bed. I shimmied so that my feet hit the floor. Still noticing no feeling of discomfort, I prepared to stand up. I took a breath and stood carefully. At that moment I frowned. I thought they said that I would feel discomfort with my new body. I was beginning to wonder if they overestimated the effects of the body changes or over hyped the amount of my changes.
Quickly clearing my head these thoughts, I shook my head and started walking toward my mirror one step at a time, slow at first just in case the discomfort came. It did not. I got faster with each step and by the time I got to my mirror, I was walking at my normal pace, no, the pace was even faster than normal, and I wasn't really even trying. Already, this new strength and fitness improvement impressed me again. Smiling, i took a look at myself for the first time since the awakening. What saw made me immediately realize that my parents weren't wrong about being shocked. The changes were absolutely incredible. I almost looked like a whole different person. My hair grew and was halfway down my back. It was pitch black still but with gold streaks throughout. I ran my hand through it. It felt soft and smooth like silk. Next, I noticed my eyes. My black iris's were surrounded by a bright gold. It almost looked angelic. I was falling in love with myse... *cough cough* Anyway, before I get sidetracked, continue on. My face looked more mature and chiseled. My skin was a flawless white like a newborn and soft and smooth. I had no blemishes, not even a freckle.

I took a look at the rest of my body. My body looked even more mature. It looked well toned and athletic, filled with hidden power and strength. I grew what it looks to be at least 8 to 9 inches, I wasn't sure. Overall, I felt and looked great. After admiring myself, I turned around and faced my parents with a bit of a frown. My mother immediately noticed my look.
Mom: "Auggie? Whats wrong? Whats with that look? Are you OK? Do you feel weird and uncomfortable? It's fine. It's normal to feel that way after the amount of changes your body just went through. It just takes a bit of time to get used to."
I shook my head.
Me: "That's just it. I feel fine. I feel great. I don't feel weird or anything like that. I feel way more comfortable with this new body than with the old one. "
My parents looked at each other with shock and then back at me.
Dad: "That is indeed weird, but great for you. Let me tell you, walking and moving around in a body that doesn't feel quite like you is super weird and awkward. Although, I would have loved to see you awkwardly walk and trip constantly, LOL."
He was grinning a lot when he finished. My mother stifled a laugh and playfully slapped his arm in a mock angry manner. Alright, this scene of them flirting and joking around at my expense was enough for to last a lifetime, even though I couldn't help containing my own laughter and imagining myself tripping and falling constantly like a doofus.
Me: "OK. OK. I am super hungry, like I feel like I haven't eaten for years. Whats for dinner?"
My mother gave me a grin.
Mom: "Your favorite of course. It's your birthday after all. We're having beef stew. Let's go."
With that, my mother and father started to walk out of the room before my father turned around towards me with a curious gaze.
Dad: "Oh, by the way, what ability did you get? You haven't told us yet?"
With that question, my mother also stopped and turned towards me curious about it as well. I haven't sorted or dug up all the information about it yet so I quickly got to work. With this new and improved mind, it was done almost instantly. I couldn't help but let out a wide grin and shining eyes as I looked at my expectant parents.
Me: "The ability I got is called....RPG System!"

Luck Lockyer
Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state. But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people. Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church. It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family. That was all he wanted. Simple. It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his. *found the picture online
