《My RPG System》Chapter 31: Endless tower

For the next 5 hours, I worked on my daily missions. Thankfully, they were back to normal today. I did as many as I could of each no matter the requirement. Thankfully, I was able to do 7 times the required numbers. in return, I got a +15 jump to AGI, WIS, DEF, and STA. One of the requirements was to defend against attacks of someone who is at least 1 rank higher. Thankfully, Christy woke up and came down in the first hour of my training. She helped me complete it while, of course, teasing me and making sexual innuendos every 30 seconds. However, she did help me get it done as well as improve my melee ability. While I worked on my other exercises, she cheered me on and even did a few of them herself. I couldn't help but kiss her several times during this period.
After the daily missions were done, I moved on to catching my elements up and getting them to max. They were at 13, So I had 7 levels to go for each. Since it was only day time, and no storm in the area, I could only work on fire, wind, earth, and light. This took up almost 5 hours. My power increased even further. It felt great making constant progress. After that was done, at first I wanted to wait for my parents to get home, but decided not to. I had no idea when they were going to be back. Instead I started power leveling my skills. I worked through my skills, casting as fast as I could while drinking mana potions whenever I ran out of mana. This allowed my skills to all go up by 1 level. Domain even went up by 2. After I was satisfied with the progress on my skills, I stopped and focused on the 2 open active skill slots I have thanks to levelling to 15 and 20.
Right now, I only had an idea for 1. I wanted an offensive AOE skill that had a D.O.T, damage over time effect that dealt elemental damage. I thought of one that perfectly fit what I was looking for. The process for the creation didn't take long and 30 seconds after I started the notification popped up.
Skill created: Lightning storm
Lightning Storm: Level 1: Cover a 10 square foot area with a storm of lightning that sends 1 bolt of lightning down every second dealing 50% damage to a random enemy within and causing a 1 second stun. Lasts 10 minutes. Cost: 100 Mana. Cooldown: 10 minutes

I then started to cast it on repeat until my parents got home while Christy and I talked, goofed off and got a bit naughty while it was on cooldown. I managed to get it to level 3. Finally, around 8 at night. My mom and dad arrived. It was a bit embarrassing though. When they saw me, I was sitting up in the grass with Christy straddling my waist making out with her and fondling her body. She was moaning too. The two of us were so into it, we didn't hear them approach on horses. They had to cough several times. When we heard it, we immediately froze and stared at them in absolute horror. Fucking great. Well, this is so dam awkward. we immediately separated with red faces.
After the 30 second awkward silence, my mother finally spoke with some weird tone in her voice. She wasn't upset, it was more like excited or giddy? I don't know. Anyway....
Mom: "Ah. A familiar face. So, you are the one who was sent to watch over my little Auggie here?"
Me: "Moooom....."
Christy: "Yes ma'am. My father sent me here. It has been a pleasure doing so. Auuuugie, has been a wonderful host. He has quite the talents too. He has been using them in, no on me a lot."
She winked at me saying that while also drawing out my embarrassing name that my mother called me. What was worse, was that she was fucking teasing me and used another sexual innuendo. To my parents! I don't think it mattered anyway. They saw us with our tongues down each other's throats and our hands all over each other. Plus I could see it on my mothers face, she knew what was going on between Christy and I. She had a brow raised, and a grin on her face that was saying to me I know mister. Dad, save me. thankfully he did.
Dad: "Thank you for watching over him. I owe you a favor."
Christy just laughed and shrugged it off.
Christy: "No, it was my pleasure. Plus, we both got benefits from this."
Mom: "So, will you be going home tonight or.....staying here?"
Yeah, she knew.
Christy: "As mush as I want to stay over, I have to head back home. I need to prepare for tomorrow. I will be joining you guys on the quest."

Dad: "We've heard. It's great that you can join us, the more we have, the safer it will be and easier as well. We have also heard that the princess will join as well. Nice job son. 2 in a couple days. Not bad."
He flashed me a smile and a thumbs up before his returned to a serious one. My mom was glaring at him. Christy was laughing, and I was sunned silly. 2? When did that happen?
Anyway, Christy said her goodbyes to my parents and shook their hands. She turned to me, gave a hug, a kiss lasting a few seconds, and a goodnight. She then left and headed home. After that, my parents and I walked inside to talk.
They informed me that they had cleared 6 dungeons the last couple days, all of them being D or C-ranked. The monsters in their were strengthened incredibly and the bosses were at B-rank and A-rank. they also said that the situation on the 5 uppermost floors were the same as the F-ranked dungeon we first cleared. They also let me know that when they talked with the guild master, he informed them about the beast siege that happened and what we noticed about the beasts and the chaos energy. Needless to say, we were all concerned.
Me: "So, after the beast siege, i was able to reach level 20. The downside to this is that I have to complete a quest in order to advance and earn more experience to level up further. So, I plan on doing it tonight for preparation for tomorrow. I have to clear 20 floors to pass and I will extra stats and bonus ones if I complete more. however, i do not know long it will take. i should be able to get it done before tomorrow though."
Dad: "Do you know where this tower is? How would you get there? Also, have you reached 1,500 power yet? Show us."
Their faces when I showed them my stat panel was priceless. I wish I had a recording function to capture this. The moment was better than I imagined. I then told them about how I would get there and what very little I knew. They were clearly concerned and worried if I would be safe. I couldn't help it though, this had to be done. I reassured them saying that with my Op stats, I would be fine. I would be back.
Mom: "OK, Auggie. Come back safely, you hear?"
Dad: "Clear 40 floors and I will slightly reduce your training for a few days. Be safe son."
I nodded and stood up and stood in an open area in the room. I thought endless tower and an instant later, a blue portal shimmering with light started to appear 10 feet in front of me. It grew until it was 7 feet tall and 2 feet wide. It floated a couple of inches in the air above the floor. With one last look toward my parents, I approached the portal and stepped through.
An instant later I was surrounded by almost complete darkness. The only thing I saw was a giant black door in front of me with a hand print on it, a couple torches with blue flames that barely lit up the door, and a sign that said something.
Endless Tower
Tower used to test warriors and mages when advancement of their power is at hand. Clearing the required number of floors allows you to advance, and grow your power by a certain degree. Going past required number of floors gives bonuses. Tower is only accessible during advancements and cannot be accessed again until next advancement upon passing. In case of failure, you only have three attempts before the tower will ban you from ever entering and advancing again. Prepare well. Place your hand on the imprint, and you will be transported to the first floor after the tower scans you to determine your number of advancements and required number of floors to pass.
Well, shit. I knew about the first part, but the second half of it was new. Only having 3 tries before it bans you for life, making it so you can never advance again. Damn. Harsh. I guess I better pass then. As prepared as I will ever be, I pressed my right hand onto the imprint. An instant later I felt my body get sucked into more darkness.
Here we go.

Transmigration Retiree
"What's that you say? I can never leave this reality ever? Good!" Ed, was a normal man in a world full of superheroes, so he didn't really have too many complaints when that first truck fell on him. After all he'd read enough comics to know that sometimes things just happen. Besides he'd been getting on in years when it happened, and his life till then, though lonely, had more or less been fully lived. The second time around when that one guy pushed him off a cliff for a chalice of immortal ambrosia, wasn't so cool though, and then there was that third time when he was just getting used to life as a lady, and that crazy goddess showed up out of nowhere and started ranting about purging the demon menace....then some other stuff happened and he briefly got to go back to earth before falling into a coma where he adventured in the world of dreams. Then the aliens came, and the dream ended and he was suddenly stuck being the AI Overmind for the whole damn star systm. The aliens died, and because he was all mechanical and what-not he just kind of had to keep on going. Then there was that whole war with the gods business that followed...mostly because of all that world destroying he did because of some fairly faulty programming. Now the powers-that-be tell him that he must spend the rest of his existence in single lonely section of the cosmos. Trapped in a single portion of a single universe. And now he weeps...No worries though, these are tears of joy. Hopefully this final unending existence he's been given will be the quiet life he's been looking for. A Man who's seen everything gets abducted by aliens and is converted into an AI that sits at the helm of a fleet of alien ships and behind the computer systems for most their planets. His life's been far too interesting(read: Scary, Inconvenient and Painful) in his opinion and he could do with a bit of normalcy.

It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
