《Exceptional Normalcy (A Pokemon Fanfiction)》CH10 - Surpisingly A Drill Sergeant Appeared

With my investigations concluded, even if I still had a feeling that something wasn't right, I returned to my room and began the heavenly process of going to sleep. I was quickly drifting off, while thoughts of past events and a foreboding of possible future catastrophes lingered in the back of my mind.
My sleep wasn't near as restful as I had hoped it would be, with the constant nightmares that plagued me that night. When I looked into a mirror, I realised that my skin was even paler than normal, which splendidly emphasised the dark circles around my eyes. To make it short I looked terrific. I silently walked through the house in order to wake no one up, 'cause no sane person should be awake at this early hour. After reaching the kitchen and plundering the berry-filled basked, I walked back to the living room and used one of the Pcs. At first, I was only looking up on my new curriculum which consisted of Fighting Strategy and Decorum of Battle. At least now I know that there were rules to follow while being in a battle.
But yesterdays encounter and the nightmares from last night wouldn't let go of me. My research began with a list of all known evil organisations and only expanded from there. I soon had a long list of known and a few unknown Teams and their goals. Most of them were disbanded before they could do any serious damage, but that didn't incorporate all. A small number of them grew quite close to annihilating our planet. //Well~ there were still the few that wanted to just control us all, but no big deal, right?//
How they were able to do that, was not disclosed to the public but through some forums and some chatlogs, I concluded that they had used mythical pokemon.

And that's how my research went from my new curriculum to the Myths of godlike pokemon. The tales from the ones in Sinnoh alone were very interesting if not unbelievable. It was also interesting that some of them were depicted or described, while their names were lost to time. I was completely immersed in my research that I lost track of time, that I only snapped out of it when I someone shook my shoulder. It was Marcia and she was about to say something, that was until she saw my face. She became really worried and asked if I was ok and if I felt sick. I denied her queries and assured her that I was ok, just a little tired and that she shouldn't worry.
Marcia was relieved but then asked me if I wanted to stay at home for today in order to get some sleep. I told her that I was fine and that I would be much too excited about today's lessons to even think about sleeping. I swiftly ran away in hopes that it would deter her from asking more questions. I entered my room and quickly changed, it took me only a minute until I was outside and on my way to school.
I was relieved when I arrived in my new class and was happy that I could recognise some of the people in the room, who I had seen at yesterdays trial. As I was waiting for my new teacher to arrive I heard into the conversations around me, especially from my senior classmates. They mostly talked about useless banter but at some point, they also talked about the lessons that were to come. I was happily making notes until I picked up on another more sinister one.
"Have you heard? Some of the pokemon in the neighbourhood went missing!"

"Yes, I've also heard about that. But it seems like that happened throughout the whole city."
"I heard that the authorities are doing everything they can in order to find the lost pokemon."
//So the authorities are already aware of the pokemon thieves. That's a relief.//
It took almost 10 minutes for the teacher to arrive but when they did it was with a...*BANG* Everyone's attention was drawn to the door. Our lovely teacher seemed to be in a bad mood as he was slamming the door close. She was in her thirties and had long bright red hair, her piercing green eyes seemed to challenge us for what I didn't know. Her shoes made loud clacks as she made her way to the podium.
"I am your teacher for this term and don't know and don't care for your names. I also give a shit, if you don't know my name. I am here to teach you how to battle and that I will! We won't need any books for this. In 10 minutes I want to see all of you in the backyards. Till then!" And as quickly as she appeared she was gone.
"Te Heck?!"
//The Heck indeed. What did just happen?//

Survival elements will be present but it won't be the focus of the story, but crafting and enchanting on the other hand are going to be quite prevalent.
