Chapter 14
----------------
After word got out, everyone was on alert. They were all commanded by the 4 great principals to eradicate and destroy all the major branches and infrastructure of the Orc race. All these things were planned to happen in the morning!
The goal was to use the Orc race as an example to the whole galaxy! They wanted to attack and kill more than 90% of all Orcs ever created in a day! How crazy is that? One must know that such wars in the previous history only occurred no more than 4 times! Yes, 4 times, and now, Omnilock dared to make this open display of power and authority known.
****
On every planet, there is a place known as the Orcas land. These lands are the territories of the Orc race. Contrary to popular belief, the Orc civilization was quite a phenomenon. These people were also a magical race, so they knew a thing or two about magic. In their city, they had medieval-styled buildings. They are made of rocks, bricks, and stones. Nevertheless, these people were not to be looked down upon. In each of their buildings, there were magical protective arrays installed. Each one was capable of destroying an advanced, A-rank warrior! Only people of high rank can dare to attack the Orc race.
The Orcs loved to live in vegetative plantations, so most of their lands were in the forests. Taking advantage of the natural resources around them, the Orc race was able to thrive. The numbers of their members were not something any common race could contend with. They were tall and large in stature and had dry, flaky gray skin.
Sited high on a wooden throne, there was the Orc king, Alpro. Contrary to popular belief, king Alpro was very wise and active. He was one king that never sat down during times of war. Beside his throne was his ax. It was very sharp and beautiful. The body was made of steel, and on the handle were precious gems embedded in it.
---
In the Orc land, there were 4 wings, the east, west, north, and southern wings. On each wing were watch posts positioned. Inside, some scouts and sight-seers were positioned there to inform and guard against incoming attackers.
Looking from afar, a certain scout was sleeping on his chair. After days of active service, he barely got any sleeping time. Knee deep in his slumber, he felt a tingling sensation rise all over his body. All the hairs on his body started to stand straight as though it could sense an impending level of danger coming towards him.
Awoken from his sleep, he was what looked like millions of white arrows shooting straight at him. Unable to believe what he was seeing, he wiped his eyes very well just to cross-check. He even pinched himself as though he believed he was dreaming. After confirming his nightmare, he quickly scrambled to get himself in order.
"Who would I tell? Who would I tell? I have to tell the king! War is dawning upon us, and fast!" he thought to himself as he started running towards the kingdom.
---
Finally arriving at the kingdom, the scout ran through everyone visible. He had only one thing on his mind, and that was to get to the king. Even if he knew he might be punished, he knew that nothing was more important than reporting an incoming war at hand.
Boom, the palace doors were forcefully swung open.
"Your majesty! Master!" A scout orc shouted as he raced towards the throne room of the king.

Upon reaching the king, the orc said, "Master, there's a group of people who are attacking us on the left-wing!" as he panted heavily.
"What! Who is it? Why would they attack us? Did someone offend any great power recently? I know I haven't sent a war order in the last decade, so why would they attack us?" Filled with confusion, King Alpro stood up from his throne as he looked sternly at the scout.
"Heram, pass down my order. Prepare everyone for war immediately! No one is to attack until further notice! Prepare the defense mechanisms too! Let me see if they are powerful enough to break our forcefield." King Alpro said after a moment of thinking.
Behind the king, there was a shadow hidden. This was the king's most trusted aide, Harem. After being ordered, he quickly left to prepare the army for war.
As for the king, he was still thinking seriously. He never intended for war, so he was really confused as to why someone would attack him. However, he is not a rag that could easily be walked on. He represented the Orc race, and as the king, it was his sole duty to lead and protect his people!
"Zoro, please, kindly ask the attackers to seize fire. Tell them we want to talk first, maybe we could try to understand one another before further drastic actions are taken." King Alpro said to Zoro, the scout.
"No, master, from the way they were charging at us, I do not think they had peace talk in mind" Zoro quickly refuted.
"You Idiot! Just do as I've said. I will be there shortly. How much damage can they do in such a small time?" The king said as he furiously kicked Zoro's behind.
In fear, Zoro quickly ran out of the throne room.
***
On the other hand,
All the envoys of Omnilock, both the senior and junior envoys did as they were commissioned. They were all speedily heading towards the headquarters of the Orc race on their various planets. Yup, all 1,000 of them.
Now, by this time, everyone knew that Omnilock had a pervasive network across the galaxy. They were unceremoniously recognized to have one of the largest network systems in the galaxy. As one of the few organizations to have a foothold on each planet on every major solar system, Omnilock was well known and respected. It goes without saying that only terrible figures could be the ones leading such a massive amount of power and authority.
With great speed and power, all the envoys across the galaxy were set to leave before sunrise. This way, they would have enough time to find and locate their enemies before the real party was started.
Flying towards each Orc civilization, there was no rest for anyone. Various leaders within the Orc race were confused because they never recalled provoking anyone. One after another, they all inquired why they were being attacked.
----
High up in the air, Darius, another lead envoy, looked down at the Nagga, the headquarters of the Orc race. Peering down, anger and disgust could be seen written all over his face. Like the other envoys, he had keen eyesight. That being said, he watched everything display from afar. He had seen everything from Zoro waking up, to Zoro running away to inform the King.
Darius, as the leader of this legion, led and controlled everything that was and would happen in this war.
With burning eyes, he turned around to look at the team of envoys behind him and said, "Everyone, listen up. Today, no orc will leave this kingdom alive. Yes, not even the children. You are to kill everyone in this kingdom. Once they are all dead, every other branch will have nowhere to run to as they will also be overwhelmed by the others.
Tiana, Malak, and Jossie, you are all in charge of the formations. You all are responsible for making an array big enough to cover this whole kingdom completely. You all will also lead a team of 10 envoys who will act as support for the duration of the whole war.
As for the rest, you all will help me teach these bastards a lesson. They will all regret the day they knew of Omnilock. Remember, no one should be left alive. Not even one. As for their king, leave him to me. When the war is over, we will make him and some other strongmen as puppets. This way, they will be part of our war trophy."
"No problem, Darius. You can count on us. With us, no one will be able to break through our formation. Not even the Tyron, the Dragon ancestor, would be able to break through it easily." Jossie said as she laughed teasingly.
"It's not me who should be counting on you, the whole Omnilock is counting on the three of you," Darius said as he looked at Jossie, Tiana, and Malak.
"Alright everyone, let's get this thing over with," Darius said as he turned back towards the kingdom of Nagga.
---
30 Minutes later, Zoro had finally returned back to his post. To his great surprise, it seemed as though their attackers were waiting for him to return.
This scene caused Zoro to start sweating heavily. It was even vivid to the point that he looked like he had just been splashed with heavy water all over his body.
"Who are you guys, and why are you attacking our Kingdom? What have we to do with you? Please, let us try to talk things out before we carry out any drastic actions!" Zoro said as he drew closer to the opposing team.
"Ha, how funny. There is nothing to be talked about. Just know we are from Omnilock, and everyone here in the kingdom of Nagga will die here today." Upon hearing the words of his opponent, Zoro's eyebrows tweaked with mixed emotions.
Just before he was about to respond, king Alpro interjected as he looked towards his adversary. "Although, you have made up your mind to fight...how can we fight you if we have no reason to defend ourselves?"
Looking down at the incoming Orc, Darius wanted to laugh. This figure was ugly! He had gray hair all over his body, awkwardly shaped teeth, and an oversized nose that was bigger than a cucumber! This figure also wore a piece of cloth that covered his lower body and a strap of fur coat that ran across his chest.
"Who do you think you are? Anyways, that is not important right now. One of your elders attacked a member of ours. If not for early intervention, he would have been dead by now. Obviously, we are here to pay remuneration for the actions of our Orc race." Darius said sneeringly.
"Is that so? Please, tell me, who was it that attacked you guys? As far as I am convinced, you guys are all liars and thieves looking for nothing but trouble. Let it be known, there was no order given by me, King Alpro, to attack anyone." King Alpro said with a hint of impatience in his voice.
"A stupid little king thinks he can talk to me on equal foot? How bold. Unfortunately, today you will all die" Darius said as he punched the shield in front of him.
It must be known, there was a shield that divided the Orcs from the outside world. As a magical race, it was simply common for them to have such levels of defense.
Unfortunately for the Orcs, they were facing an organization that should not be toyed with. Omnilock school was simply a lion walking amongst commoners. Attacking a member of Omnilock is directly equated to attacking Omnilock itself! Only if they knew, they wouldn't have done so.
"Attack!" Darius called out as he drew out his sword.
Following Darius's lead, the other envoys also drew out their swords as they slashed heavily at the forcefield in front of them. Jossie and the rest also flew high above Nagga as they started making a super large array which eventually covered the whole kingdom.
Cling! Boom! Bang! The sounds of the weapons could be heard everywhere! Slash after slash, cracks started to form on the forcefield. To everyone's surprise, it only took 3 punches for Darius to finally make a hole through the forcefield! Ah! Only someone higher than an advanced, A-rank warrior can break through this forcefield!
With each bang, the whole ground started shaking as though an earthquake was about to happen! All the orc soldiers were wearing their armors as they all waited for the command of their king.
King Alpro, who was leading his army, was really angry. Although he was still confused, he was still very angry because he never expected to be disobeyed by an elder of his!
"Steady, steady, no one attacks until they break through that wall" King Alpro shouted to his men.
Not long after, the force field was totally broken! Darius was in the air shining with glory as white ether emitted from his body. From the view of civilians, he looked like a god descending into the world. His whole body was literally glowing white! Not just him, but all the other envoys behind him were glowing white. Collectively, they look like shining stars of the universe.
"Charge!" King Alpro gave the order as he charges towards Darius who was in the air.
"Roar!" The other orcs roared as they collectively charged towards the other envoys behind Darius.
Enclosing on each other, King Alpro's body started to form a protective purple armor that totally covered his body. Not waiting for an invitation, he jumped up towards Darius who was still quickly approaching him.
Amidst the air, the ax of king Alpro grew twice its size! Ah, what a weapon! Even the rays of light seemed to be directly cut in half by the ax! How crazy is that?
BOOM! The battle-ax and sword of King Alpro and Darius collided. Everything within 20 miles was instantly destroyed. Even the defensive arrays which were used to protect important buildings were rendered as nothing before the dreadful force of their collusion. It was so powerful that even the bricks were flying everywhere.
Due to the collision, a dust bowl formed below. As for the other orcs below, some of them were directly impacted by the force and subsequently killed by it.
On a stand-still, King Alpro and Darius stared each other in the eye aggressively.
"Why, why do it? Why would an elder of mine attack these people? Now look, innocent blood had been shed for no reason. Now, we really have to fight to avenge our fallen" King Alpro asked as he thought to himself.
Seeing the look on King Alpro, Darius couldn't help but smile. At this point, he seemed to know the thoughts of king Alpro.
In the background, the envoys from Omnilock were quite busy. After being totally out-numbered, they started putting in more work. The envoys above with Jossie, and the rest started attacking too!
"Fiery asteroid rain!" On the East wing, an envoy in the air raised her right hand towards the sky. Above her, a thick black cloud formed. Everywhere rumbled with thunderous noise. Shortly after showers of burning asteroids shot down wildly hitting everything below. From the ground level, thousands of asteroids could be seen falling upon everything! Even the buildings and some defensive mechanisms were no opponents of these asteroids!
One after another, everything started crumbling! The magical floating cities started falling into buildings. Debris from above also started falling. Soon, everything that once floated started falling. Nowhere was safe! Even the warrior orcs down below started multitasking. Imagine multitasking, watching for asteroids and debris that are falling from above while fighting?
Obviously, this was the tipping point of the whole war. Countless orcs below started dying like flies. Pools of blood started forming quickly. From the left to right, everywhere started turning into a blood-bath. The irony of it all was that all the blood spilled belonged to the fallen orcs.
As for the envoys, not one of them had fallen. How crazy is that? Don't get it twisted, the Orcs are an extremely strong race. However, compared to the envoys of Omnilock, they are not even qualified to tie their shoelaces.
Yet again, Another envoy from the west wing threw a golden-tipped spear towards the ground as he shouted from above. "Thunder Abyss!"
BOOM! His golden spear flew speedily as it struck the ground like thunder. Seeing this, some orcs started running as they desperately scrambled to look for shelter. To everyone's surprise, they thought it would be like the asteroid belt but were brought to disappointment.
After the golden spear struck the ground, there were streams of blue liquid that spread all over the west wing. Within seconds, the whole west wing was covered with streams of blue liquid.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Lightning from all over the ground shot upwards! Yes, lightning actually struck upwards from the ground below. This meant that every orc that was on the ground in the west wing was literally fried by the lightning.
"EW!!! What do you guys eat?! Who would have thought that burnt orcs smell like sewers! Disgusting!" A female envoy said with utter disgust as she smelt the oozing odor emitting from the carcass of a nearby Orc.

Stories Of Indlu
“… to grow, for opportunity, for adventure, to be free. Join the colony ship Nao Vittoria. Be the first to live amongst the stars.” It was obvious from the literature that the NextStar corporation wanted the young, the adventurous and the brilliant. So why were the super rich fighting over seats? Why were AI’s trying to stow away? Did this signify a premature end to human/AI civilisation? Why had some questions directed to NextStar been aggressively sidelined? Why did the colonist inflight entertainment trial produce fatalities? In fact, why colonists at all? Those and many other questions, however, boiled down to a single central question. Why was the world’s most advanced AI dumped with a hundred year babysitting job for 50 million people speeding towards an uninhabitable planet? It made such little sense. The only sure way to get answers, catch a ride on the Nao Vittoria and play the inflight entertainment game, Pax Domini. I joined, and this is my story. Well, I feature. OK, I’m more of a spectator. Actually, I’m completely irrelevant I was just there. I’m only the storyteller. But what a story to tell. --------- Hi All, Content will be published weekly usually Saturday and typical posts will be 25oo to 4ooo words per post. Though for some reason the Royal Road word count does not include the content of tables so some posts may not appear to meet this criteria. Currently I have written sufficient unedited content to keep this schedule for the next 12 months (half way through the first story arc). My current productivity would indicate that I can maintain this schedule for well into the second story arch. This also allows for the additional content that will be posed exclusively on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/StoriesOfIndlu). This additional content follows minor characters, peripheral events, maps and other content that does not take away from the main story. I would love to accelerate the post schedule but to meet this I need the assistance of more beta readers than I currently have. So please let me know if you are interested. - Andy ©2022 Andy Leauter.
