《Hunter X Hunter: Royalty and the World Beyond》[PROLOGUE] Seed Urn, Westington, and Karo

“KARO!!!!” A resonating roar that shook the earth roared out, coming from the dry throat of a miserable middle-aged man wrapped in frightful wounds and oozing blood. His cry was a defiant roar against the world, filled with endless longing and desperation.
"I'm here, Dad!" A young toddler named Karo responded with a soft whimper wrapped in fear and anxiety, unable to withstand his father's current state.
"Good, Ging brought you here. Listen, Daddy doesn't have much time with you. I've gone home to bring you a parting gift, after today, we won't be seeing each other for a very long time." The Father's gracious eyes docked on the toddlers, his own flesh and blood, and the longing within him was satisfied. He was missing an arm, with hideous wounds crossing his chest, like bloody chains attempting to seal him forever. And yet, he still felt satisfied.
"We...won't see each other?" The little boy's voice rose and fell like the ocean's waves, tears flowing from his big round eyes. He too could feel that this would be his last meeting with his beloved Father.
"Sadly. I would never have wished for this to happen...but the Royal Family has no qualms about murdering their own! But alas, we don't have much time, quickly take out your finger." As the desperate man spoke of the "Royal Family" his eyes flashed with blazing hatred, flames that only spoke of eternal damnation. But when his eyes returned to his son all hints of anger quickly dispersed.
With his only leftover hand, he reached into his torn robes, taking out an ominous Urn that instantly released a mysterious and ancient aura. It looked as if it was made of an odd type of wood, with a smooth texture carrying the unique sense of lasting forever. Carved within this extraordinary wood were two shut eyes and a wide-open mouth.

This was the most precious treasure of the Kakin Empire - the Seed Urn! Created by the First King of the Kakin Empire, it was the peerless treasure belonging to the Royal Family. The price Third Prince Westington Hui Gou Rou paid to obtain this treasure would cost him his life.
"Listen, Karo, and listen carefully. Place your finger into the mouth of this urn and concentrate all of your energy into your finger! All of your emotions, strength, and will! Please hurry, son." The desolate Westington held the Seed Urn with a careful and firm grip, all of his sacrifices counted on this moment.
The boy followed his father's orders with a deep solemness, tears crossing his soft and plump cheek. He concentrated all he had into his fingertip - and felt a small prick as the mouth of the Urn closed and bit his fingertip, drawing out a single drop of blood.
In truth, this boy was a bit too young for the Seed Urn tradition. Luckily, his age would not impede the ceremony, or else everything would have been for naught.
It was unknown where the drop of blood went, but in less than a breath's time, the Seed Urn's eyelids slowly opened! The boy watched in startled fear as the Seed Urn's previously shut eyelids completely unrolled, revealing a pair of terrifying demon-like eyes.
And at the same time, the mouth of the Seed Urn opened, letting go of its tight grasp on Karo's finger. Once completely open, purple fumes floated up from the Seed Urn, wrapping around Karo's hand completely.
And from these peculiar purple fumes - a tiny fairy the size of a finger floated up from the mouth of the Seed Urn. The fairy had beautiful purple eyes and hair, and was wearing a tight yellow dress.

But the most interesting thing about the fairy was what was in her hand! A small pitch-black gem, resembling an egg, half the size of the fairy herself! The sprite floated up to young Karo's mouth, placing the tiny gem at his lips. The gem lay on his tongue as it completely dissolved - disappearing in a flash.
In truth, all of this was only able to be seen by Nen users. Otherwise, it just looked like the boy placed his finger in the Urn with no effect. The only action truly visible was the opening and closing of the Urn's demonic eyes!
Just like that, all of the purple fumes dispersed and Karo was standing where he was, as if nothing had changed. The Seed Urn's mysterious eyes closed and it returned to its previous sleeping state.
"Good...good. Then all of this was worth it. Karo Riverbliss - you will always be my, Westington Hui Gou Rou's, son! Go out and live a proud life - and eventually come back and punish the Royal Family for their evil deeds. But above all, remember I and your Mother love you!" And with that, Westington took his last remaining hand, covered in dripping red blood, and rubbed his son's bright-golden hair. It was an act of tender love, one boiled with so many emotions mere words couldn't properly describe it.
"Da-dad..?"
"Ging! Take my son out of here, they've arrived!" And with that, Westington nodded to an inconspicuous man in the back, who was watching the entire scene with tense nerves. He was good friends with Westington, and it broke his heart to see him live his last moments here - outside of the grand gates of the Royal Palace.
"Of course! Goodbye Westington, it was an honor to live and fight with you, being brothers through all matters!" These were the only words Ging could force out - the arrival of Westington's enemies would mean a disaster for both him and Karo. He had to leave.
And so, he activated his unique Hatsu ability - taking Karo out of the area in mere seconds - as some sort of teleportation. He was moving at top speed, and in a flash both him and Karo had long left this dreaded area.
"DADDY!!!!" A scream was all that Karo left, and it was a scream that broke Westington's heart.
Westington could only look up and watch the arrival of his own father, the king, along with the entire Royal Family.
"I WILL DIE FIGHTING YOU!" Was his final war-cry, one that shook the entire Royal Palace.
