《Of Life and Light》Chapter 34 [Sarah]

The world chosen for the group was not made by Rojaahn, but by Shauu who wished to try out a more peaceful world. One that caused Melephas to gripe and complain even as all others ignored his person, which left the only target in his desire to voice his opinion to Karastak, "Aren't you in charge?" he pouted as the group readied themselves in the teleportation room. One which now smelt of rotting flesh due to Brutus and the others cursing the one who was to transport their persons to such a world to death.
"Yes," replied the Fallen God as he held aloft the head of such a creature, and proceeded to drain it of all its remaining knowledge.
"Then why are we going to this A Class world?"
To which the other tossed the head aside, it slowly becoming ash and dust whilst it flew through the air, and turned towards the Human with a look of disdain, "They desired to go, and I shall not speak further of the topic." No. His voice was not heard beyond the intonement of the spell which would give them access to a world of peace and tranquility.
The transfer was the same as all others to the world below, but not the world which was of a separate template. In that the whole of the landmass was of one shape, a heart. No. It was not the shape of an organ, but of a drawing many a child would create to show their love for another.
Yes. This was the shape of the world, which was filled with many bright colours which disgusted Karastak greatly. However, as he turned towards his underlings, he noted all, but Amira were excited to travel upon the land. This would, by the looks of it, had the same expression as her Lord, and gripped her scythe close to her person as they were brought to a platform on the outskirts of a brightly coloured town full of tall flowers of every soft hue.
This platform, by the by, was designed in such a way to receive large groups of individuals who would come to this world. To the illusory Human's gaze, however, it would appear as though it had not been used for quite some time, and who would? For all around their persons were bright colours and cheerful, but borderline creepy, expressions plastered upon many an animal.
During this time, the sun was shining high in the sky, which only caused the world around them to brighten considerably. There was a forest nearby, to the left of their position to be precise, and it contained many a chirping bird and soft call of forest animals such as squirrels and foxes. Of which quickly scurried to their positions, surrounding the group.

Here, only Amira, Melephas, Brutus, and the Fallen God readied themselves for a fight, Rojaahn and the skeletal Undying wore apathetic or confused expressions. Whereas the rest of the Undying, the females without the Foxwoman, rushed towards the animals with open arms. There, they scooped up as many as they could, and proceeded to pet their heads slowly.
The rest, on the other hand, could not believe what they were witnessing. Even their Lord was unable to comprehend what was occurring before his own eyes, but before he was able to speak, something beneath the surface of the earth was quickly making its way from the town to where they were. Of which was picking up enough speed to warrant some concern. Therefore, all, except for the six who were in the process of enjoying the soft furs and tiny squeaks of the animals they each held, brought up their weapons or gathered their magicks in preparation for the coming battle.
However, what came next left them rather confused. For an overgrown hare burst out of the burrowed earth, and skidded to a halt in front of their persons.
This one, by the by, was of sixty and eight centimetres in height with grey and brown fur. Upon its chest was a vest of bright pinks and blues with a silver chain attached to the collar, and ending in a little pocket which was on the left side where one would normally have their heart. The face of such a creature contained a pair of horizontally oval shaped eyes which were the colour of pink and yellow.
It was rather disconcerting for one who has been within the darkness of the world for so long as Karastak. What is more, the creature before them had abnormally large feet. Of which appeared to be a quarter of its body's length, calling to question how it moved around. This was answered soon afterwards, as it hopped towards them, ignoring the females who were giggling as they cuddled with such creatures.
Here, it stopped before Melephas, and opened its small mouth to speak. However, the other quickly shook his head, pointing a finger towards Karastak whilst claiming he was in charged. Of whom was then glared at, as the mutterances of, "Traitor," was spoken.
No. The hare did not hear such a thing, as it turned towards the illusory Human with a slight bow. Afterwards, it did open its mouth, and what came forth was an annoying sound which caused even the illusory Undying who were of metallic Skeletons to shake their heads in an effort to dislodge the sound within their skulls. For it was the creature's voice that annoyed them so, as it spoke, "Thank you for coming to our humble town of Snufflesville. We haven't had any guests in so long, we were wondering if the Blight had cursed us somehow."

"What's this 'Blight'?" called out the Mage, whereas his brother mentally cupped his own face with his palm. For he knew what was to come next.
"The Blight is what keeps us for being ourselves," smiled the hare, who turned towards the Human in acknowledgement, before turning back towards the one who was their supposed leader, "Anyways, why don't you come to our town for some cakes and tea? We have a marvelous selection of-"
"Where's Sia and the others?" called out Amira, pointing in the general direction of where the group of six females were supposed to have been.
"Who?" the small creature's ears twitched with some irritation, but were immediately laid back as an old hand from the Fallen God gripped the creature's neck with enough force to cause it to choke. Of which it then scrambled to claw at the offending hand, desiring to escape whilst its large feet dangled in the air.
"My servants, where. Are. They?" Karastak's eyes glowed a deep crimson as he inquired their location whilst squeezing the hare's neck a tad more.
"I don't know what you're talking about," it gasped, which was a mistake to the one who was quite possessive over what was his by right.
"LIAR," his voice thundered across the land, causing quite a few dozen cheerful birds to take flight, "Where are they?"
"My Lord God," called out Brutus, of whom was pointing to the ground where the group was last seen, "The earth appears as though it was dug up recently."
"Then dig, Brutus. Find my Undying females," his voice growled as the hare was then held aloft, its body still struggling to be released, "You, on the other hand, will give unto me your everything!" Power, in the form of three streams of lightning which circled around his brow, crackled to life as he continued with, "Your knowledge, your language, EVERYTHING, for I desire it so! >." Upon the intonement of such a spell, were the streams of lightning released, running directly into the hare's mind and body whilst it screamed a high pitched scream.
There, such energies stole everything it could find. From the many secrets to the muscle memories, what it did before coming to see us, and down to the very first thought the creature had when it was birthed. All of this and more was taken from the pathetic waste of fur, and afterwards? It was discarded as though it were trash as the energies entered the mind of their summoner, deposited everything they found within his brain.
"Melephas," his voice was hauntingly quiet as he called the other forth, "what is your most powerful spell?"
"Um, the lightning bolt, why?" asked the other, unsure of what to make of this inquiry.
The other, on the other hand, pointed his left forefinger, and barked, ">." A line of blue energy rushed out of the pointed finger, striking the Mage in the centre of the forehead. No. He did not collapse, but did widen his eyes whilst his mouth dropped open. For a surge of memories engulfed his mind, of which was the spell called "Lightning Storm".
Such a spell, by the by, created many dark clouds filled with what would appear to be rain water. All though such a thing would be true in some cases, this was not. For the clouds were filled with overcharged electricity, of which would be released in a deluge of lightning upon a wide area. More of it would concentrated, creating more damage if it was concentrated, and was able to mortally wound a God if condensed as much as possible. Unfortunately, such a task was near impossible, as the event held a ninety and nine percent chance of exploding in one's face for their efforts.
"There," grinned Karastak, whose mouth stretched impossibly large, "Now use it upon that town there," his forefinger moved towards the colourful town before them, "Do this, and you shall grow stronger." Upon speaking thusly, he did chuckle an evil chuckle as his brother called upon the energies needed for such a spell whilst his voice echoed with the intonement needed for such a venture.

Raven: The Beginning
'What's the worst that could happen'? is what I thought to myself as I entered the World of the Veil with a new, experimental machine that the company created. I was originally excited to participate in their alpha test, and now, looking back, I was just a naive little girl that didn't know what it was like to truly suffer. Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book).
