《ASTREA - A Game of Different Realities》Chapter 19

[Lv. 13 Fanged Vermin will not respawn because the player has the quest "A Beautiful Garden".]
It was already midnight when I cleared the mobs in this area. Aria and Michelle have been online a long time ago, but with my conscience, I declined another invitation to their party even though I promised them yesterday.
Thankfully, they do not sound too upset when I gave the reason rather, they were excited when I told them I was doing a hidden quest. They even offered help, but with the quest's description, I declined their offer.
Last hitting the monster when in a party would probably work, but I already have a great situation here. You might say I was a bit selfish. Although from these two days, they would somehow find a way to cope up with my levelling speed.
I killed a total of 12 Fanged Vermins during all this time.
Since I 'accidentally' killed the first one, the condition for not killing anything from the quest is no more. The experience was my aim in the first place. Maybe this is a better result compared to finding a way to remove them without killing.
[Name: Cherry Winter
Level: 8

Health: 220/220
Defence: 14
Strength: 12
Vitality: 12
Stamina: 16
Agility: 25
Dexterity: 30
Stat Points: 0
Money: 79g]
My stats look like these after distributing all the points I got from levelling up. However, as much as how the experience goes, their drops are quite abysmal. Among the 12 Vermin I killed, only 4 dropped a piece of equipment. 2 of them were not worth mentioning, but the other 2 is already equipped by me.
[Thin Cloth Gloves]
Grade: Common
Durability: 65/65

Condition of use: Level 5
[Black Leather Vest]
Grade: Common
Durability: 80/80
Defence: 6
"Everything about it is black. From the leather material to its decoration, it all came from the sap of the blackwood tree."
Condition of use: Level 7
Along with my Rapid Shot turning to Level 2, I got a new skill after having my agility to 20 points.
[Passive Skill: Lv. 1 Light steps]
Your feel your body is slightly lighter and dodging attacks is now easier.
+3% Running Speed
Seeing my character getting strong motivated me to hunt for more. Even if it was late, I feel like I can continue on. Tomorrow is Saturday anyway, so an all-nighter is a choice. A choice that I would pick.
I should pick crescent flowers while I am at it since the place was full of it. Maybe I could give it to Luna if it's possible. Beautiful flowers like these should be worth something somehow.
*Thud*
"There's one more?!"
The sudden loud noise from my back brought me back to the world. I jumped forward to create much separation to avoid any surprise attacks of whatever it is and I did not hesitate to shoot when I found myself at a reasonable distance.
"What are you doing?"
The silhouette was not a Fang Vermin like what I expected it to be rather, it talked.
"It's not normal to shoot people when you meet them."
Stepping out of the shadows, a handsome looking man was holding the arrow that I just shot. Silver hair with a young yet masculine face that can be top on the acting business, he has the expression of someone who is dejected. He was wearing a black cloak to cover everything except his face, but I was still able to glimpse on what is underneath.

Under that cloak, he was equipped with stuff I never imagine could be equipped. This person should be an NPC base on the amazing armour he has. If a player has a gear such as that in this point of the game, it is definitely the CEO of ETHER or a world-class hacker.
"Nothing? I'll get going then."
"Wait! Who might this person be?"
"You don't know? You're a Traveller, I suppose. How fortunate."
‘What is he talking about?’ I questioned myself after the person in front of me seems to have gone to his own world.
"Meet me in Opidelhm. I have a lot of questions to ask."
[The Curious Imperial Lord]
Difficulty: ???
Rewards: ???
"A quest!?"
"Quest?"
"No, nothing. I'll meet you in Opehelm? Opidhelm?"
"What a strange girl."
Without looking back, he proceeded deeper into the cave. Such a strong NPC, even the quest he gave sounds difficult. But why with the question mark in the quest. There is no details or description on it. From his words, I should be going to Opidelhm if I ever want to discover what it is.
What is his purpose anyway?
[Lv. 16 Stone Golem have perished and will not respawn]
[Lv. 14 Stone Golem have perished and will not respawn]
[Lv. 18 Poisonous Viper have perished and will not respawn]
Suddenly, a bunch of notification showed up in my interface. It must be that person and it is still ongoing. I am afraid that nothing would be left for me, but thankfully, the notifications stopped after a few seconds.
These series of notification just proved to me that he is an NPC.
Only monsters killed by players themselves will return after a period of time or that how it goes according to previous interviews. There are some exemptions like my case, but I only knew that now.
I got curious and tried to follow him to see what he was doing to kill all those monster so rapidly. What left were few monsters running around and a lot of corpse on the side.
Another indicator you will know that it was killed by an NPC is monsters recently killed by them does not disappear. Unlike when I killed those rats, these corpses, unfortunately, do not drop anything.
Observing the surrounding and the remaining mobs, I planned on how to continue. This place has fewer spots to take advantage of. Meaning, I cannot just sit back and shoot arrows.
Stone golems almost fill up the whole area. Their slow movement may be good for me whose agility and dexterity the highest stats. But-

My arrows dealt no damage at all. I did not even gain their aggro.
"Those black looking thing on their chest looks like the core. Hitting it may solve the problem, but just thinking about it is too tiring. My brain is too worked up to begin a tasking fight with a golem. Guess I'll do it tomorrow."
