Ryuga has about 6 hours before he can create something and present it to Akuma using the tools and equipment in the room. Ryuga has chosen Ellie to be a magic disposer so that he could have someone who can give him magical supply whenever necessary but Ellie is still not sure what kind of magic Ryuga wants her to use. Slips was asked to keep an eye on Ryuga and Ellie while Akuma was working.

“Ryuga, you have told that Professor that you will create something for those heroes of your world but what are you going to create.” Ellie asked Ryuga. Ryuga heard what Ellie said but he didn’t respond and continued to browse the tools and equipment to his disposable.

“Hey, I know this isn’t the right time for it but can I ask you something.” Ellie wanted to ask something to Ryuga but Ryuga bluntly responded, “Nope.” Ellie fell in shock. “Once we are done completing this thing you can ask me as many questions as you want.” Ryuga said as he picked up a block of steel. “A-alright...I will do that...”

Ryuga pulls out a sketchbook from his back, “Eh? What are you doing?! Sketching when you should be creating something?! Are you in the right mind?!” Slips who was keeping an eye on them kept on screaming. “What’s the ruckus about?!” Akuma came to the scene due to all the screaming. “Ryuga Aragi is sketching!” Slips complained to Akuma. Akuma looked at Ryuga.

The moment Akuma took a look at Ryuga. His eyes couldn’t look away from him, “Such concentration...It’s almost as if he has cut himself off from the rest of the world.” Akuma said. “Huh? How can someone cut themselves off from the world?” Slip asked Akuma. Akuma was about to reply but Ellie replied instead, “Father once said, when you have a calm mind, you can sense everything that is around you but you won’t do anything against it because there is only one thing that you will concentrate on. Father called it the power of Otakus since they don’t get acknowledged by many.”

Akuma slipped from where he stood because he knew what an Otaku meant but Slips was quite curious about the Otaku thing. “Someone needs to tell them what Otaku really are.” Akuma face palmed himself from disappointment.

It’s around 12 pm, at Ryuga’s house, Kaori is cooking food only for herself since both Ryuga and Hiro will be out, one for his school while the other for his work. That’s when the bell to the door rings. Kaori goes to receive the front door.

The doorbell keeps on ringing, “Yes, yes, I am coming.” Kaori opens the door. There were a few men standing out on the entrance, “Mam, we are Ghosts. Would mind asking me if this is Ryuga Aragi’s house?” One of the men was quite tall and bulky. He asked Kaori. Kaori smiled and answered, “Indeed, this is the Aragi household.”

A short man walked to Kaori and smirked, “Did you know what your little boy did mam?” Kaori looked confused, “What did sweetie do now?” Kaori asked as she tilted her head. The short man walked right up to Kaori’s face and said, “He messed with Arkwet and that is why you will be paying the punishment for that.” The short man said with an evil grin.

“Is that so?” Kaori blandly asked. “Of course, it won’t be much.” The short man stared at Kaori’s body, “You look quite beautiful and you also have quite somebody. We will forget about the Arkwet matter if you let us fuck you.” The short man was about to touch Kaori’s body but before that Kaori catches his hand.

Suddenly, Kaori exerted her strength and broke the short man’s hand. “GAHHHHHH!!!!!” The short man screamed in agony. “HELP ME! HELP ME!” Kaori exerted a huge amount of killing aura, “Stay where you are or else I won’t hesitate to kill you and if the police try to force me in, I will just call it self-defense. Even now, I am defending myself.” The amount of pressure from Kaori’s killing aura made the other men sweat.

“Now, who was it that humiliated my boy?!” The menacing pressure continued to reach the short man. The reason Kaori knew about Ryuga’s incident was because Jau-Unfurn told her everything but she acted normal in front of Ryuga. While it was true she acted normal in front of Ryuga from the outside, inside she was fuming from anger.

“Arkwet! It was from Ryan Arkwet!” The short man said. He continued to groan in pain. Kaori left the short man’s hand. “Leave now and tell that boss of yours that if he messes with my family, next time Kaori Aragi won’t be so easy on him. That is Kaori Aragi’s promise.”

With that, Kaori kicked out the short man and closed the door. Kaori sighed from relief, “I almost let go of my anger again.” Kaori continued to sigh. “Seriously though, why does a normal newspaper company have so much influence over so many people? Is it really for his magic or does he have some strings from other cities or maybe even abroad? Only time will tell. Until then, hopefully, they don’t do anything to my sweetie.” Kaori sighed again and this time from concern.

Around the same time, in Ghost World Academy, Kirio is drinking a bottle of cola with Gordon. “Hey man, about Ryuga, do you think he can continue studying here?” Kirio asked Gordon. “I don’t know Kirio. I just know that he is the only eligible one to take that test.” Gordon says as he takes a sip of the blood packet that he is drinking.

“Yeah, even I took that test and the fucking Professor called me a dumb dog. Fucking hell! That pissed me off!” Kirio threw the empty bottle of cola in the garbage can. “I don’t know about dog but you definitely are dumb, Kirio.” Gordon said with a smile. “Huh?! I am not dumb! Maybe a little but definitely not like how that Professor put it to be.” Kirio said and then he looked up at the sky. “I can only hope that Ryuga is fine.” Kirio said as he looked up at the sky.

At the police station, Hiro was working on some case files. “Recently, this Ryan fellow has been getting a lot of fame, isn’t he?” Hiro asked one of his subordinates whose name is Airi Rishi. She is quite young at the age of 19 and has beautiful fair skin with short brown hair. She wears the police shirt and skirt and also is one of the new recruits that Hiro recently had transferred to him.

Along with her, another new recruit from another city, Isaya Ishikki who arrived about a month ago. He seems to be the rough and tough type as proven by the huge scar on his right eye. He is also pretty young at age 21 but his experience in real-life combat is much more superior compared to Airi.

One of the old guns in the department is Maria Dakai. If that name sounds similar, it’s because she is the older sister of Kirio Dakai. She has a body somewhat the same as Airi but is a little older than her at the age of 22. With almost the same height and body as Airi, one may say they are pretty much the same when it comes to the body but their face and personality differ way too much. While Airi is a kind and calm person, Maria is a strong delinquent.

While a lot of people call Maria and Kirio the perfect brother and sister, they both rebel against it. Maria calls Kirio a weakfish and Kirio calls her a gorilla woman. Still, both of them have quite a close bond where they rely on each other. After all, they do have to rely on each other since they don’t have each other.

Hiro’s police department is called the young guns of the police departments since he manages and teaches most of the young people who graduate from the police academy. Hiro is also known as the boss of the young guns since his department doesn’t see many old people except for him.

Right now, Hiro is reading the case of Ryan Arkwet. He came to know about the whole case of Ryan and how he hired some Ghosts to cover his track. While he was somewhat unhappy with his son’s failure, he also wanted to catch Ryan pretty badly. When someone asked him how he knew about Ryuga’s encounter with Ryan, he said, “I have sources.” In other words, he had Bleeds who doesn’t hide anything from him. After all, they are childhood friends.

“Sir, Ryan Arkwet has some kind of connection with the mayor of this city.” Maria said as she checked her computer. “That’s strange. The mayor never mentioned that Ryan Arkwet was someone he knew.” Hiro said as he looked at the news. “Sir, another weird thing is here...Some Ogre was killed by Ghost and called a member of Illuminati.” Airi was talking about Alicia. “That’s strange again, Ryuga, my boy, he acted frantically when he heard about that Ogre.” Hiro continued the digging along with his department members, “I don’t understand the connection between him and that Ogre but if that’s the case, we need to question Ryuga Aragi as soon as possible. Maybe, that might lead to some new clues.” Isaya said as he stood near the door guarding the archives room.

“Isaya, come on man, do you seriously think that our Sir’s boy might have some connection to the Ogre? That’s some bullshit right over there.” Maria said. Isaya looked at Maria with a disappointed sigh, “That boy might hold an important clue that might expose Ryan Arkwet. You do realize that, right?” Isaya asked Maria. “Huh?! What the hell are you talking about?!” Maria looked annoyed by Isaya.

“Big Sis Maria, Big Brother Isaya might be right there, I mean...I know I am new here and don’t know much but the basics of investigations are that you should always try and start your investigation where the first clue appeared. If the first clue to the murder case of the Ogre Alicia Unfurn is our superior’s son, we should investigate him first.” Airi explained.

“Man...You got no power in you but your brain works like fucking exploding dynamite.” Maria said as she got up. “Fine, let’s investigate that idiot Ryuga.” Maria smirks, “It been some time since I last saw him, I hope he has grown up to be a fine adult, chief.” Maria said as she cracked her muscles.

“Umm...Why is Big Sis Maria so excited to meet Sir’s son?” Airi asked. Isaya replies, “From what I have heard, 2 years ago, when Ryuga was in middle school and saw Maria. He called her cute and Maria fell in love with him. That’s it.” Isaya said. “THAT’S SUCH A BLAND LOVE STORY! THERE WAS NO DEVELOPMENT WHATSOEVER!” Airi screamed in a low voice.

“I know, I know but apparently, Ryuga is the type of guy who can charm any lady. At least, that’s what I have heard.” Isaya said. “That’s not possible. Any lady is too much.” Airi said. “He dated, Bleed’s daughter, what else do you need to know?” Isaya asked Airi. “Eh?!” At that moment, Airi thought of Ryuga as, “Playboy...Pervert...Lecher...”

~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~

There are only about 4 hours left before the test is completed. Ryuga who had been sketching for almost 2 to 3 hours has finally got up. He looked around for something. Slips was ordered by Akuma to not do anything and let Ryuga do whatever he wants.

Ryuga finally saw what he wanted and walked towards a cubic steel box. “I can use this, right?” Ryuga asked Slips. Slips nodded, “Yeah.”

Ryuga kept his sketchbook aside and threw the box of steel towards Ellie. Ellie caught it and Ryuga bought a small table that was lying in the corner in the middle of the room. “Ellie, can you use your magic and curve that steel box?” Ryuga asked Ellie. Ellie nodded, “Yeah, I need to use fire magic and strengthening magic to give it a curvy shape. But what are you making Ryuga?” Ellie asked Ryuga after confirming Ryuga’s doubt. “I am making...Something.” Ryuga said as he took a few of the copper wires that were lying behind him.

“Are these oxygen-free copper wires?” Ryuga asked Slips. “Nope, the oxygen-free ones are the wires that are near that metal bat.” Slips pointed at the wires that are near the metal bat. Ryuga went and took the oxygen-free copper wires and puts down the normal copper wires he had. “What are you planning to make with copper wires?” Slips asked Ryuga. “As I said, I am making something.” Ryuga said. “Tsch!”

“How much time will it take for you to curve the steel box?” Ryuga asked Ellie. “About 2 hours.” Ellie said. Ryuga smiled and started fiddling with the wires he bought. “Alright, I will work on this then. Hey Slips, can you get me some pliers?” Ryuga asked Slips. Slips sighed, “There is a toolbox near that table you picked up.” Slips said. Ryuga looked at the toolbox. “Thanks, Slips.” Ryuga said and picked that toolbox.

During all this time, Alicia didn’t disturb Ryuga. She knew that he was doing something important and that is why she didn’t want to be in Ryuga’s way. Since Ryuga was doing something important, Alicia went and paid Jau-Unfurn a visit. Jau-Unfurn can’t see her but Alicia still wanted to see her sister and how she was doing. She went to her class and checked on her.

Jau-Unfurn was in the corner taking notes on what was given to her. Alicia smiled as she looked at her sister studying and left. Jau-Unfurn felt a weird chill coming from the entrance door of her class. She thought it might have been her imagination.

Akuma Jin was checking on Ryuga’s test. “Slips said that Ryuga barely passed in all of the subjects related to science. Yet, why did that headmaster assign him to me? If he had to expel Ryuga, he could have expelled him by sending him to Sofia. Why me then? Why did he decide to send Ryuga Aragi to me?” Akuma Jin started reading Ryuga’s answer sheets from his entrance exams.

There are 2 more hours left before the test ends, Slips is asleep while Ryuga is still fiddling with the wires and Ellie is done curving the steel box. “Ryuga, I curved this box as you asked me to, what next?” Ellie asked Ryuga. “Nothing, your job is done. Now, I have to be the one to complete this thing.” Ryuga replied to Ellie.

Ellie looked at the curved steel that was in front of her. Ryuga started to drill holes in the steel which woke up Slips. It even got Akuma’s attention who was reading his tests. “Tsch! What the hell are you doing?!”

Akuma smirked in his room, “This boy...He is indeed an interesting person. I see why you chose him to join our department, headmaster.” Akuma walked out of his room to see what Ryuga was doing.

Ryuga kept his bag on the desk and removed his headphones and tore them apart. “Eh?!” Everyone looked confused but Ryuga used the wires to connect with the little chip that was inside his headphones. He then placed that chip along with the wire in the place where he drilled inside the curved steel. He also made sure to attach two buttons on the side of the curved steel after drilling and he made sure that few wires are attached to those buttons.

“Hey Ellie, use your magic again.” Ryuga said. “S-sure...” Ellie looked quite confused. “This time, use your magic to provide electricity to that chipset I installed in that steel.” Ryuga said. Ellie nods, “Okay.” With that Ellie used her Thunder Magic to provide electricity to the chipset that Ryuga installed.

“D-done...” Ellie said. Ryuga picked up the curved steel and wore it on his face. He smirked, “This is what I created.” Ryuga said as the curved steel opened up when Ryuga pressed a certain button on the right side of the curved steel.

“Huh? You created...” Slips was confused. “A mask!” Akuma who saw Ryuga in the middle said. “That is correct, Professor Akuma.” Ryuga said. Akuma smirked, “What use would it be for a Ghost, can you tell me Ryuga?” Professor Akuma asked.

“I know the mask isn’t anything special and anyone can make it but here is a thing, you told me to make something that is of use to the Ghost. The mask is the most essential thing for a Ghost. While it is true that big names like Bleed go without a mask, a normal Ghost can’t do that. They always have to cover their identity, not only for their own protection but also to protect their family’s identity.” Ryuga explained.

Akuma clapped his hands for Ryuga, “That is exactly the answer I am looking for.” Slips looked quite surprised by Akuma’s reaction. “Starting tomorrow, feel free to come here and study in our lab department.” Akuma said. “Alright, as you say Professor Akuma.” Even Ellie looked quite confused by Akuma’s reaction to Ryuga. “By the way, if you don’t mind, I would like to bring Ellie here with me. I mean, I want to use her magic to make other things.” Ryuga said with a smile. “Sure thing, Ryuga. You are free to bring her but only her and no one else.” Akuma said.

Ryuga smiled and patted Ellie’s back, “You are my assistant starting today.” Ellie still looked in shock. “Alright, you are free to go home for today. Come back tomorrow.” Akuma said. “Alright, see ya tomorrow Professor Akuma.” Ryuga said as he took his bag and left. “See you, Ryuga Aragi.” Akuma said as Ryuga left.

“Hey Ellie, you coming or not?!” Ryuga asked Ellie. “R-r-“ Ellie gets interrupted by Akuma, “I want to talk to this vampire here, please feel free to wait for her if you want to.” Akuma said. “Alright...” Ryuga looked confused but he left without questioning too much.

Soon after Ryuga left, “You two must be having the same question, right? Even though I said I would never take in a Ghost as my disciple so why did I take him in, right?” Akuma looked at the door and smiled.

Both the girls didn’t utter a word. They were silent, waiting for the Professor to say something or anything about Ryuga. He made a simple mask that any Ghost can make so why did the cold Professor take him in? On top of that, he didn’t want to take any Ghosts so why Ryuga?

“There are very few people who know that I don’t like Ghosts personally. You two are one of them and the reason I took in Ryuga Aragi as my disciple was because of something that he wrote in his physics test that had me laughing.” Akuma said. “What would that be Professor Akuma?” Ellie asked Akuma.

“He wrote and I quote, ‘I FUCKING HATE THESE TESTS! WHY MUST I GIVE PHYSICS EXAMS TO BE GHOSTS?! I DON’T EVEN WANNA BE ONE!’ He wrote all that at the end of his Physics entrance test.” Akuma chuckled. Even both the girls laughed. “While I still don’t accept you as my disciple, Princess Norvich, that boy is someone who can teach you things. Plus, that thing he made, he didn’t tell all the uses of it.” Akuma pointed. “Eh?” Both the girls looked confused. “It’s not a normal mask, if you try to punch it, I bet you, you’re gonna feel a hell lotta pain. After all, you did use enhancement magic on it.” Akuma smirked and left to his room. “What?! No way...He actually made a protective mask.”

Protective masks, one of the rarest types of masks, it is the hardest type of mask to make and is also hard to break. The material needed to make it needs a hell of a lot of magic. Ryuga made the perfect use of the vampire, Ellie Norvich. Hence, he created a protective mask and passed the test that people don't normally pass
