(Amaya…I remember how I met her.)

Ryuga opened his eyes to see Kirio’s pouting lips on his face. “Nope, did not see that.” Ryuga said as he got up from his bed with messy hair and a drowsy face.

“Oi Kirio, wake up! Or else your gonna be late for school.” Ryuga said to Kirio as he starts brushing his teeth. “J-Just two more minutes’ man.” Kirio said in a sleepy tone. Ryuga sighs and raises his leg, “Yoshu! That’s the best way to wake you up.” Ryuga kicks Kirio right in his butt sending him off of Ryuga’s bed. “What the heck dude?!” Kirio didn’t scream but he was annoyed by Ryuga’s kick. “Good morning sleepyhead, get ready. We have school.” Ryuga said.

“Come on brother, are you joking? They gave us all a holiday because of the Hiroyama incident. Did you forget?” Kirio questioned Ryuga’s action. “Wait what? They gave us a holiday?! I didn’t any notice like that.” Ryuga said to Kirio. “Well, we all got a mail. I am sure your girlfriend got that mail too.” Kirio smirked as he showed Ryuga his phone. Ryuga looked quite confused as he read the mail that Kirio got, “First of all, Jau isn’t my girlfriend. Secondly, I never got any mail, text, or anything of that sort.” Ryuga said. “Don’t worry, I am pretty sure that they just forgot to mail you.” Kirio said as he yawned and got back to bed.

Ryuga sighed, he dialed Akuma’s number to ask him whether he should come today or not. “Hello, Professor Jin? Yeah, it’s me Ryuga. Are there classes today Professor Jin? Yes, Professor! Understood Professor! I will make my way to the lab, Professor.” Ryuga sighed after calling Akuma, “Why the hell did you call Professor Jin? You could have made the excuse that you had no clue there were classes today.” Kirio said to Ryuga. Ryuga smiled at Kirio and said, “You see Kirio, unlike you, I have to work hard to get stronger. I am not as strong as you and I am nowhere near as strong as Jau. How can I protect you guys when I am so weak? That is why I want to follow Professor Jin. I want to learn things from him so that I can surpass you guys to a point where I can protect you.” Ryuga continued to glow as he spoke from within his heart. “Anyways, gotta go!” Ryuga said as he left the room.

Kirio sighed, “This irritates me. The dude literally said that he wants to protect me. Is he saying that I am not reliable?! What a fucking idiot! Tsch! I am just going to sleep.” Kirio gets inside the blanket.

~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~

Ryuga had breakfast with both Kaori and Hiro. Both Kirio and Jau-Unfurn had a long sleep since it was a holiday for them. Ryuga left the house soon. He walked down a road.

(Jau and Kirio both will be sleeping in my house while here I am walking all alone to my classes. Unfortunately, I was from the science department now and the science department is all Akuma Jin’s paradise. He can do whatever he wants in there with the items, students and many other things and nobody will question him.

It’s all because people call him The Crazed Scientist. That Ghost Name of him, Crazed Scientist came because of this crazy bomb he created which could destroy this whole planet in like a matter of minute second. They called it, Night Bomb since he created it at nighttime. He asked to be a scientist at Ghost World Academy in return for not destroying this world. I wonder why that is. Didn’t he enjoy his life in the richest city in the world?

That’s right, The Crazed Scientist came from City U. It’s located in North America. While he is Japanese, he had grown up in North America. So I wonder, what made him transfer to our City H.

Some say that the FBI was about to get up to his crimes while others say that he was tired of the racist comments about him. Some say it was just a bluff for his evil mastermind plan which will lead to greater destruction. Again, I wonder, any of this is true or not.)

“Stop right there! Stop! Stop! Stop!”

(Eh? Stop Stop Lady, Miss Airi Rishi, what is she doing here? Why is she stopping me? Did I do some crime? Did I piss her off or something? What is it that she wants? What is it that she wants? Why did I say that twice? I have no idea what is going on with this weird encounter. My mind is all in shambles as I can see this woman’s super thick thighs! Damn those thighs, I want to get squashed by them!)

“Now then, Mister playboy. I am here to talk with you.”

(Playboy? Eh? What’s that title got to do with me? Why is that title given to me? Why does that title even exist? Why does that title make me feel insulted? I feel really insulted.)

“You fought Ryan Arkwet, didn’t you?” Airi asked Ryuga. Ryuga looked quite surprised. “I didn’t fight Ryan. It was a one-sided humiliation.” Ryuga said to Airi as he looked away from her. “You took humiliation from the new mayor of the city. I am surprised.” Airi said to Ryuga. “At the same time, if you fought against him, you would be instantly defeated.” Airi said to Ryuga. Ryuga looked quite annoyed by that comment, “Who said that?!” Ryuga questioned Airi. “I did. In fact, you can’t even defeat me.” Airi replied to Ryuga.

(What the hell is wrong with this chick?! All she is doing is throwing negative comments at me. Are you forgetting I was the one who helped you yesterday?! No wonder I was feeling insulted. She has been insulting me since the moment she got here! Tsch! I will just walk past her and ignore those negative comments.)

“I bet you are so weak that you can’t even protect your family.”

(This bitch!)

Ryuga tried to reply to Airi’s comment with a punch only to have his fist caught and him thrown over Airi’s shoulder.

(What?! I…I am looking at the sky…She threw me. She picked me up and judo threw me. So, she has broken her limiters as well. I see…)

“You, you are a weak playboy. If you can’t win against me, you stand no chance against someone like Ryan Arkwet. Remember that much.”

(Is this a warning from the gods? Are they trying to say that I am so weak that I can be defeated by this weak-looking thick thigh girl?)

“Come to the police station anytime, once you defeat me, you are free to do anything you want but until that time, you aren’t allowed in any engagements with Ryan Arkwet.”

(What is she saying?! Oi wait! I am not done yet! Why are you walking away like you are done?! I ain’t so weak that you can defeat me so easily! Tsch!

As time passed and I lied on the ground, I realized something, once again I was humiliated.)

Due to that weird encounter with Airi, Ryuga was late to the class. He got to the class at 9 instead of 8 in the morning. “Sorry, some shit came up on my way.” Ryuga said as he entered the lab. It didn’t look like there was anyone in the lab yet until Ryuga went a little further inside. Ryuga looked at the open door and watched Akuma attach a few wires of a small robot and Slips sat behind Akuma curiously watching the robot.

“You shouldn’t sneak up behind people like that.” Akuma said to Ryuga. For a second Ryuga hesitated but he replied to Akuma, “Sorry Professor, I was late.” Ryuga said. “The first day and already late to the class. You seriously should learn some life lessons before taking science lessons.” Slips said to Ryuga. She was quite annoyed. Ryuga sighed. “It’s alright Slips, I am sure he wasn’t intentionally late.” Akuma said. Ryuga looked quite surprised by how Akuma was.

“Alright, let’s have your opinion on Project Reg-Steel-Wall.” Ryuga looked quite confused by Akuma’s comment. “What’s that?” Ryuga asked. “Slips, please do let him know.” Akuma says. Slips sighs and explains to Ryuga, “Professor Jin has been working on making a life robot for the last few months. He wants to give the robot a human-like body and human-like features but to make that he needs to first successfully build the interior of that robot.”

Ryuga looks at the small robot at Akuma’s table, “You see, that’s the practice model for the robot.” Slips points at the robot. “Professor, are you trying to revive someone?” Ryuga asked Akuma. Akuma looked quite surprised. “What makes you think that?” Akuma asked Ryuga. “Human-Like robot with Human-Like features, this only can mean that you want to give life to someone. I wonder…Who you want to revive.” Ryuga replied to Akuma. Even Slips was quite surprised by Ryuga’s deductions. Akuma smiled at Ryuga and said, “Even if I would want to revive someone, I would need their soul. There is no way to revive someone from dead, Ryuga Aragi. Remember that much.” Akuma said to Ryuga.

When Akuma told Ryuga about the soul, there was a glimpse of hope in his eyes. He realized it might be possible to revive Alicia if he has Alicia’s soul. Ryuga looked around and realized that Alicia wasn’t around him since yesterday night. He wondered where might have she gone.

“So, Mister Aragi, any opinions, ideas, anything would do.” Akuma said to Ryuga. Ryuga looked at the model and said, “If this is your prototype for what you are going to make, make sure that it doesn’t look all goofy like this. Try to make the face more like yours and not square like here. Give it hands of your size if it’s a male or the size of Slips in case of a female. The same goes for legs. If it’s a female make sure to puff out the chest and if it’s a male make sure to give it a flat chest.” At the moment when Ryuga was going into whole details, Akuma thought, “He really is crazy to think that it is even possible to do that.” Ryuga finishes off his explanation with, “And make sure to have a dead body to cover it with the robot parts. So, you can have human-like features.” At that moment, Slips felt creeped out. She thought, “Professor only joked about this project but this guy…He is quite serious…”

“Ryuga…” Akuma holds Ryuga by his shoulder, “Are you trying to revive someone?” Akuma asked Ryuga. Ryuga looked quite surprised by Akuma’s question. He never thought that Akuma was going to ask him the same question he asked Akuma but Ryuga didn’t hesitate to answer, “Maybe, maybe not. It all depends on whether this project is successful or not.” Ryuga said to Akuma as he kept the model down on the table. “I see…” Akuma said as he walked past Ryuga. “Let’s go and try out what you suggested then.” Akuma said with a smile. “What?!” Ryuga looked quite surprised. “What, what?! Come on, you and I have a lot of work to do. It’s our project to make this human-like robot thing a reality.” Akuma walked out of the room. Slips felt creeped out by both Ryuga and Akuma now. Ryuga felt quite happy. He felt that he finally has a chance to revive Alicia. Ellie came to know about the situation later and even she felt creeped out. Kirio and Jau-Unfurn both felt weird, they never thought they would have seen Ryuga work so hard on something.

~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~

After this conversation between Akuma and Ryuga, both started working on their project. “Make sure to attach the hand with the red wire.” Ryuga became a lot busier and didn’t have much time to talk with his friends. Occasionally, Ryuga spoke with Kirio and Jau-Unfurn while leaving school but mostly, he would be late because of his schedule. He used to leave much later than the normal students and on some days he would leave earlier. Alicia watched Ryuga work whole-heartedly on the machine but she didn’t interact with him since the day Ryuga had his second encounter with Arkwet. She still was around Ryuga reading his manga collection and watching the same T.V. shows his mother watched but really, she didn’t have a chance to talk with Ryuga since he was always tired to speak with her.

“HELL-FUCKING-YEAH!” After a whole 3 months, Ryuga and Akuma finally completed the first phase of the robot. The robot was almost the same size as Ryuga. It had a pure white shade except that his body was pretty much that of a human but without any human skin. “Let’s use this remote control to control that robot.” Akuma said as he turned on the robot. The robot moved forward and this made Ryuga and Akuma quite happy, “IT WORKS! IT WORKS!” “They really are crazy, aren’t they?” Ellie questioned Slips. “Yeah, I never expected that they would actually successfully create something like that.”

“We have to make it so that it could hear commands now. For that, I have inserted this memory chip.” Akuma showed Ryuga the chip. Akuma turned off the robot and opened up his head and inserted the chip inside its head. “That should be that.” Akuma said as he got in front of the robot. “Boot!” Akuma commanded as the robot woke up, “Robot, Reg-Steel-Wall booting up, owner, Akuma Jin, I am under your command.” The robot had bluish light in its eyes. Both Ryuga and Akuma smile at each other. Slips and Ellie also smile at each other. This meant that the project was going towards success.

~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~

(It kinda is unbelievable, it’s been almost three months. I didn’t even realize when so much time passed by. It’s just when you do something that you enjoy, you don’t realize how much time passes by you. I think that was pretty much the reason why I couldn’t realize that this much time has passed by)

Ryuga looks at the huge television which is displaying greatness done by the new Mayor Ryan Arkwet.

(Someday, I will be sure to take you on Ryan Arkwet. Until that day comes, I will need to continue to learn new things. Learn ways to defend me from stronger guys. Before that, I still have to defeat Airi. She was right back then, if I can’t defeat her, I can’t defeat anyone.)

“I am home, mother!”

(Another tiring day and I am sure that things are just going to get even more hectic starting today.)

Ryuga looked at himself in the mirror.

(Man, what’s with my hair?! It’s grown so long. I will need to get a cut. Tomorrow is a day off. I will get a haircut. Maybe I will make it a little shorter than I usually do.)

Ryuga lays on his bed. He looks at Alicia who is reading his manga.

(Alicia…I haven’t had a chance to talk to her in these past three months. In all honesty, I haven’t had a chance to talk to anyone in the past 3 months. It has only been the project Reg-Steel-Wall. I guess I should apologize to her.)

“Are you reading Jojo?” Ryuga asked Alicia. “Nope. I am reading Iruma-Kun.” Alicia said to Ryuga. “I see…” Ryuga looks up at the ceiling. “Sorry…” Ryuga apologized to Alicia. “Why are you apologizing to me?” Alicia asked Ryuga. “You must have felt lonely since I was unable to talk to you for almost 3 months.” Ryuga said to Alicia. Alicia chuckled. “Idiot.” Alicia called Ryuga an idiot. “What the-“ Alicia looked right into Ryuga’s eyes and said, “You are an idiot that’s all there is to it!” Alicia said and flew out of Ryuga’s window. “Jeez…What’s with her?!”

(Did I make her mad by any chance? I mean she has a reason to be mad at me but I never thought she was someone who would get mad easily. I wonder why she is like that?)

Alicia sat on the roof with a smile, “You shouldn’t apologize to me when you are working so hard just to bring me back…Idiot.” Alicia smiled and had tears at the same time.

Inside Ryuga’s room, Ryuga got a message on his phone, “An expedition taking place on this coming Friday with Revons high?! We will be visiting the other world, huh? Now that I think about it, I don’t know much about the other world. Maybe I should talk with Slips or Professor Jin. They might tell me what I should be careful of there.”

Ryuga was about to dial Professor Jin’s number but instead, he saw Jau-Unfurn’s number. He dialed Jau-Unfurn’s number, “Hello Jau…” Ryuga smiled and asked, “Are you free tomorrow?” Ryuga sighed in disappointment. “Nothing…It’s alright.” Ryuga said. “See ya later.” Ryuga cut the call.

(I can’t believe that Jau has a plan with her family tomorrow. I was thinking of spending some time with her. I guess I will call Professor Jin.)

Ryuga dialed Akuma’s number. “Professor Jin, are you free tomorrow?” Ryuga asked. “Yeah, so can we hang out?!” Ryuga asked. “I kinda wanted to know about the other world and I thought you might help me out.” Ryuga said. “Yeah, it’s about the expedition.” Ryuga smiled, “Alright, let’s hang out!” Ryuga said with a smile.

“So tomorrow, after I get a haircut, I will hang out with Professor Jin. Let’s go!” With that another tiring day of Ryuga’s ended.

~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~

In a room, a person looks at a computer and plots, “Mayumi Revons is going to be at the expedition. Mayumi Revons will be my first victim. She will be the first one to go down and soon after her, it will be her father and after her father, I will even take down other Ghosts. I will take down this Ghost system and once the Ghost system shuts down, I will kill you Ryan Arkwet.” The person breaks their bottle of cola with bare hands. “Calm down, I still have to take down the whole Ghost system before killing you. I only can hope that you don’t stand in my way…Ryuga Aragi. After all, you used to be all heads over heels for that girl.” The person leaves the chair and looks at a photo with a young boy and a blonde-haired guy in his mid-20s. “Master, I will soon get our revenge on those Ghosts. Don’t you worry.”
