“So, you are telling me I have to learn Flash step today?!”

Ryuga looked surprised.

“That is right. I will now demonstrate to you how to use the Flash step. This technique is more of a giant leap. You leap from one place to another but at a speed that a human cannot see you.”

Myra says to Ryuga.

“Wait, wait, is that even possible?”

Ryuga asks Myra.

“It is, just stands on toe like I am standing right now.”

Myra says to Ryuga as she points out that she is standing on a single tone.

“Alright…”

Ryuga stands on a single toe as well.

“You surprisingly have a good balance.”

Myra says to Ryuga.

“Well, I did learn from my father.”

Ryuga says to Myra.

“Now, you use the force of that single toe to leap forward towards your opponent.”

Suddenly, Myra appeared in front of Ryuga out of nowhere.

“See, the force that I used, leaped me forward towards you.”

Myra walks away.

Ryuga looks at his toe.

“Leap forward…”

Ryuga decides to try it.

“WAHHHH! HELP ME!”

And bangs his head onto a tree.

“Oh right, I forgot, you need to control the amount of strength you put in your toe as well. My bad.”

Myra says with an expressionless face.

“Say the important stuff first!”

Ryuga scolds Myra.

“Ryuga, do you know why the single thumb toe helps you move forward and not all your toes or legs?”

Myra asks Ryuga.

“Why?”

Ryuga asks Myra.

“It’s because most of the mana in your legs flows down to your thumb toe. The mana prioritizes the thumb toe over any other. That’s the reason why when something hit’s your thumb toe it’s not that painful but if your other toes get hit by something, you feel a massive amount of pain. Mainly your pinkie toe because that’s where mana is the least.”

Myra explains.

“I see…”

“The first thing a hero or a ghost is taught about in the academy is the flash step. It’s one thing to know flash step at this age but to use it with that kind of skill…”

Lucifer looked quite surprised.

“He learned flash step within a day.”

Myra continued.

“He did what?!”

Everyone in the judge's room looked surprised.

“Well…Even I wasn’t expecting that.”

Lucifer says as she sweats.

“Myra…What else did you teach this boy?”

Lucifer asks Myra.

“Everything that he needed to learn on how to survive in a life or death situation.”

Myra replies.

“That’s…A very vague answer.”

Lucifer says as she sweats and looks at Myra’s face.

“So, you are telling me that’s Ryuga…”

Ellie looks quite shocked.

Jau smiles.

“Go get him, Ryuga!”

Jau cheers Ryuga.

Everyone looks at her.

“That’s what I plan to do.”

Ryuga who is in the ring with Kira says.

“Are you two going to battle or not?”

Ashley asks both Ryuga and Kira.

“We will, we just were having a moment.”

Kira says and smiles.

Kira quickly rushes Ryuga.

“He’s fast!”

Ryuga quickly blocks Kira’s attack.

Ryuga is pushed back.

“Ryuga!”

Mizuki looked worried.

Ryuga punches Kira right in his face and Kira gets a punch in at Ryuga’s face as well.

As of right now, both Kira and Ryuga were going on an equal footing with their punches.

The only difference between Ryuga’s punches and Kira’s punches was that Kira’s punches were fuelled by fire while Ryuga was using pure power.

Every punch, every kick, even headbutts, they all felt impactful as both Ryuga and Kira went toe-to-toe with Kira.

“This battle…This isn’t normal.”

Ellie says.

“Ellie, Clayton, watch this battle. This is a battle of two heroes who have reached the pinnacle of the C-rank strength.”

Jau says as she watches them both battle.

Ryuga punches Kira and smirks,

“I haven’t felt this kind of rush in quite some time. This is enjoyable! This is fun! I knew it! When you used that sword to stop my fireball, I knew that you were strong! Maybe even the strongest opponent I might have faced!”

Kira says as he connects a punch with Ryuga’s fist.

“Why did you do that to Tachibana-Senpai? Your punches are light-hearted. You are a good guy, so why were you trying to injure Tachibana-Senpai?”

Ryuga asks Kira.

“I was informed even you knew about this, Aragi.”

“Knew about what?”

Ryuga asks.

“Mizuki, she is the host of Nine-tailed fox. You knew too, didn’t you? We couldn’t put her in harm’s way. Our mission as Ghosts is to protect people. Even if they are prepping to be Ghosts themselves. To protect Mizuki, I had to show her that she is weak and I had to make her leave. At least that’s what her mother wanted.”

Kira explains to Ryuga as they fight.

“Is that so?”

Ryuga asks.

“What? Just because I put on a cold face doesn’t mean I don’t care about my comrades. That includes you too, Aragi.”

Kira says to Ryuga.

“What do you mean?”

Ryuga asks as he fights Kira.

“I got a tip from one of the people that my father sent on a mission to investigate Black Jaguar. It seems that they are planning something during midnight.”

Kira says.

“Isn’t that when the finals are?”

Ryuga asks Kira as he punches Kira.

“Exactly.”

Kira says to Ryuga.

“That’s what I mean, Aragi. Don’t put yourself in danger but right now…You can put yourself in as much danger as you want as you fight me!”

Kira says with a smirk as he punches Ryuga.

“Is that so? Don’t regret it.”

Ryuga says with a smirk.

Both Ryuga and Kira gain distance from each other and smile at each other.

“Something seems odd about them…”

Mizuki says as she watches them fight.

“Yeah…It’s almost as if they are having a friendly bout.”

Jau says.

“Huh?! They don’t even know each other, why would they have a friendly bout?!”

Ellie asks.

“No, what Miss Jau-Unfurn is saying is right. Those two seem to be enjoying this fight.”

Clayton says.

“What?! But Ryuga would never enjoy fighting a guy who hurts his friends!”

Ellie says.

“Yeah…That’s the odd thing. Why is he enjoying this fight? Has he become a battle maniac?”

Clayton questions himself.

“I give up.”

Kira says.

“What?!”

Ryuga and everyone else looked confused.

“Wait! What’s happening here?!”

Ellie looks confused and so does everyone else.

“Umm…Are you about this Sir Suzuki? You’re giving up…”

Even Ashley looks confused.

The crowd seems in disarray as Kira nods to give up to Ryuga.

“With that…Aragi Ryuga’s win…Team Deadly Fields move to the finals...”

The crowd went silent at Kira’s sudden give-up.

“KIRA!”

Ryuga calls out for Kira.

“Hmm?”

Kira turns around.

“I will see you tonight.”

Ryuga says as he walks away from the arena.

Kira looks at Ryuga and smiles.
