~4 HOURS BEFORE THE FINALS~

Ryuga lies inside his bedroom.

“My brain is exhausted as fuck.”

Ryuga says as he looks at the ceiling.

“Hey Kil, can I ask you something?”

Ryuga asks.

“Of course! You are my master! You can ask me anything you want!”

Kil says to Ryuga. She seemed happy.

“Your majesty, is she alright?”

Ryuga asks Kil.

“My majesty…She has kept herself isolated. She does not speak to anyone, not even me. She thinks that the person she loved will come back to her someday.”

Kil says.

“Master…She is really unhappy. If you can completely form a contract with her, maybe you could keep her happy.”

Kil says.

“She won’t form a contract with me Kil. Not when she has someone in her heart. From what I have heard from you, she will only form a contract with someone whom she would consider a life partner. In other words, a lover.”

Ryuga says.

“Master, do you intend to free her from her incomplete contract?”

Kil asks Ryuga.

“I do. I don’t want her to have too many burdens.”

Ryuga replies.

“But Master, can I not convince you to-“

“Are you talking to yourself, Ryuga?”

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Jau enters the room.

“Oh, it’s Sis Jau.”

Alicia who was watching the T.V. notices Jau.

“Jau?! What are you doing here?!”

Ryuga looks confused.

“I heard from Clayton that you didn’t return to the locker room after Madam Lucifer called for you. So, I just thought that you might have been in your room.”

Jau says to Ryuga.

“No, that’s not what I mean. What I meant to ask is how did you enter the room?”

Ryuga asks Jau.

“Well, the door was unlocked.”

Jau says.

“What?!”

Ryuga looks confused.

“Ryuga…Something doesn’t seem right.”

Alicia says.

“I will go investigate it.”

Alicia says.

Ryuga nods.

“I might have left it open by mistake…Jau, why were you here anyways?”

Ryuga shakes the fact his door was unlocked and asks Jau the question.

“Remember, I wanted to ask you something?”

Jau asks Ryuga.

“You said that you wanted to talk to me after the tournament.”

Ryuga says to Jau.

“I know but I can’t hold it in anymore…So, Ryuga…”

Suddenly, Ryuga felt his heart skip a beat,

“No way…Is she going to ask me out or something?!”

Ryuga thought to himself. Unfortunately, for him, the question was something that he was not ready for.

“Ryuga…Did you…Kill my sister?”

Jau asked Ryuga. This question shocked Ryuga.

“Where did you hear that from?”

Ryuga asks Jau.

“Clayton said…You defeated my sister, you know…That would mean-“

Ryuga stops Jau.

“I didn’t kill her but…I know who killed her. Like I said when I first met you, I was there when she was killed…Right in front of my eyes.”

Ryuga says.

“Who killed her, Ryuga?! Tell me! I want to know who killed her!”

Jau looked desperate.

“What would you do then?”

Ryuga asks Jau.

“What?!”

Jau looked confused.

“If I told you who killed your sister, what would you do? Just like how you tried to fight Ryan Arkwet, fight that person as well?”

Ryuga asks Jau.

“I-“

Ryuga looked right into Jau’s eyes.

“Jau, it’s not like you are the only one who is hurt from Alicia’s death. I also know how you are feeling-“

Jau catches Ryuga by the collar,

“YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING, RYUGA! YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING! YOU HAVEN’T LOST ANYONE CLOSE TO YOU! Me…I lost the person I loved the most, I lost the very person I admired, someone who I wanted to be like…”

Jau looked into Ryuga’s eyes as she cried and the color of her horn started spiraling out of control.

“For me, my sister was my world. Someone who I can smile with…Someone whom I can share anything with…She was not only my sister but also my mentor and my best friend…And the moment I heard she was killed, I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t know if I should cry or be angry at the person who killed her.”

Jau had broken down totally. She couldn’t hold it in anymore.

“So Ryuga, please tell me…Tell me who killed her so I can ask that person why they took her away from me?”

Jau looked like she was desperate and she kept crying.

“I am sorry, Jau…But now is not the right time for you to know who killed her.”

Ryuga says.

Jau punches the wall next to Ryuga in anger almost breaking it. Ryuga calmly sits on the bed.

“Ryuga…YOU IDIOT!”

Jau says as she leaves with tears dripping from her eyes.

“Was that the right thing to do, master?”

Kil asks Ryuga.

“Yes…Or else that idiot would go and fight with Mayumi.”

Ryuga replies.

“You are such a caring friend as well, Master.”

Kil says to Ryuga.

“Am I? I made her cry…How the hell am I a caring friend?”

Ryuga says with a sad smile.

“That’s just your way of helping her out.”

Kil says.

Ryuga sighs.
