Prologue

Somewhere in a distant galaxy…

A timeless being of pure energy and thought, travels the universe exploring and consuming errant cosmic energy. It has no destination, at least none it can remember. The unimaginable passing of time and transitioning of its energy from state to state has long dulled any sense of self or desire.

It could be described as having a soul, self aware but immortal and timeless. It retains no concept of identity. It exists, it moves, it consumes and retains every experience and choice it has ever made. However, over time, each experience slowly shifts, splitting and grouping into fragmented combinations of thought and concept.

Suddenly an anomalous event brushes its awareness, an oddity. A burst of distant sensation followed by a persistent emanation that fluctuates in a most unusual manner. Pathways of logic and reasoning begin to activate as an alien mind shifts its focus towards an unassuming yellow star in an unassuming galaxy.

Stretching its awareness, it finds a small blue planet, infected with biological matter. This planet seems to be the source of the strange emanations. Bending space and time, it moves towards the planet. A journey of a thousand years, that will change one girl’s life forever.
