Tides Of Protomis LIII
The Kyuem Versus The Agium!!!
Arctaius and Sebastian stared at one another once again, just as they had before. Clenching their fists, as Arctaius got into his stance, Sebastian put both of his hands up, bringing his left foot forward.
Sebastian: Roanoke… after Roanoke- when you left me there, you sealed your fate… After I trained myself-- I joined the Kaemerge, once I heard reports of the "4 Tides"... And I heard about your abilities, I knew it- the agium had returned.
Arctaius: My fate was sealed? You say that as if your victory is set in stone
Sebastian: Because it is. you will not defeat me- not with how I've grown, and while I only see the Kaemerge as a means to an end. I'll take care of those you came here with, any Ally of yours is my enemy.
Silence returned between the two, before they both took flight, smashing through the ceiling, and roof overhead. The two rushed at each other, as Sebastian threw a kick at Arctaius’ side, he dodged it, before sending a punch at his chest. Only for Sebastian to put a hand up, stopping his fist there, as he soon brought his other arm up, and attempted to jab his elbow onto the man’s arm. However, he would not have this, pulling the man over with the caught fist, and throwing a kick at his side. Though it hit, it seemingly had little effect. Sebastian threw yet another kick, but Arctaius soon brought his own leg up, stopping his kick from making any damage. Before he pushed it out of the way and yanked his fist back. Bringing Sebastian toward him, as he bent his leg, and prepared to launch a kick. His opponent caught on, however, releasing his grip as he moved back. Soon after, a golden light surrounded Arctaius.
Arctaius: Solis Battery!!!!
With this- Arctaius begins firing light beams once again- these beams steadily release extreme heat- Sebastian narrowly manages to dodge.
Sebastian: Anti-Burst!!!
Soon, Spheres of black light appeared around the two fighters. With explosions sounding around them, again, and again. Appearing in front of the beams, and annihilating them, as they exploded. Arctaius took notice and decided to change his strategies. He sped forward, reeling his fist back as he got close to Sebastian, before launching his fist and hitting him with a left hook that sent him barreling away. the force of the punch decimating the buildings around them, and ripping up the roads. Before he got far away, however, Sebastian stopped himself mid-air, before rushing back to Arctaius. As the man took notice, he prepared himself, putting both of his hands up. Sebastian stops himself mid-air- and rushes back to arctaius, giving a hard strike of his own. Soon enough- this devolves into a rapid exchange of blows- with arctaius dodging, or outright blocking his opponent’s attacks, and Heinrich doing the very same. Once again, both of the two reeled back their left and right fists respectively, before throwing a punch at their opponent, which ended in both of their cheeks being hit by their opponent’s punches. For a moment, the two did not move, but they soon jumped back.

Arctaius(Thought): It looks like the bastard hasn’t slacked off...No Matter- I’ll eliminate him regardless…
Arcs of electricity flowed around Arctaius once again, as Sebastian was soon surrounded by a field of a gray metallic liquid that flowed around him.
Arctaius: Shocking Cannon!!!!
Sebastian: Tungsten Field!!!
As the mass of electricity flew from around Arctaius, a Shield of Tungsten, wider than the street below, came to protect him. The electricity coming in his direction was stopped, but that did not keep it from ripping into the walls of the gorge, and the buildings around them. Arctaius stopped his assault, as the golden light formed around him again. Sebastian took notice of this, his eyes darting around to search for his opponent. But he was nonetheless unprepared as Arctaius burst through the shield with his fist outstretched. The metallic liquid around him formed two blades, which were soon flung at arctaius, going through a Leg, and his right shoulder respectively. However, his opponent ignored this, reeling his fist back and throwing a punch at his stomach yet again. Sending blood cascading out his mouth as he made contact. Sebastian would soon return with his own, sending Arctaius’ head lurching forward, as he shoved him away.
Sebastian: Damn you… Why won’t you die?!
Arctaius: That’s my line!!
Arctaius soon tore the blades out of his body, as he opened his palms, Jumping back from his opponent. With Sebastian opening his as well.
Arctaius:Solis Pulsar!!!
A large burst of Yellow light flew from both of Arctaius’ palms once again. However, his opponent moved out of the way, before opening his palms once again.
Sebastian: Anti-Burst!
Soon, one of the black spheres appeared right beside Arctaius, his eyes darted over as he took notice, quickly stopping his firing of the burst, as he began to move away. But, the Anti-matter detonated before he was able to do so, and he found himself caught within the blast. Sebastian smirked as he took notice of this...For a moment, nothing came from the radius of the explosion. Within the burst itself, the explosion had caused some damage, though it couldn't be seen externally. Regardless, he dematerialized once again. The sparks he reduced himself to flew past his opponent, and, as the sparks began to appear behind him, Sebastian glanced back at Arctaius, who once again, had both of his arms outstretched, soon covered in the golden light once again. Sebastian’s eyes widened as he saw this take place.
Sebastian(thought):Damn it!!!
Arctaius:Solis Pulsar!!
The resulting burst of energy forced Sebastian out of the sky, and drove him into the ground, as the tremors from this attack went outward, not going unnoticed by the citizens around them, as chatter began to erupt.
Civilian 1: What is this?!
Civilian 2:Why did the ground start shaking all of a sudden? and where did that light come from?!
Civilian #3:Isn’t it obvious?! There are proto-humans fighting here!!! Unless Earth-based Solar flares are natural.
Elsewhere, descending upon the city were 20 of Delmenforde’s F-39 resolute HAU’s, their armor painted beige, like the terrain that surrounded them. Within the cockpit of a machine that differed from the others, in that a horn came from its head, and it had more thrusters, Was General Franz Bergstrom. One of the best pilots the coalition forces had, and the leader of the Delemnford Air squadrons that came to Tsugashuan. He took notice of the battle in the distance but eventually turned his attention back forward.

Bergstrom: It looks like it’s starting, The Proto-humans have made their way here.
Within the crater, Sebastian lay with some blood covering his face, as well as burns across the length of his body. He breathed heavily as he lifted himself. He soon threw what little remained of his shirt to the side, leaving his toned body, as well as the scars, resembling lightning, exposed. Arctaius, though they were less pronounced, had his own injuries. He looked down upon the man in the crater, before flying at him.
Arctaius(thought): I won’t make the same mistake I did in roanoke...This time around-- I’m making sure you’re dead!!!
Part B
Sebastian thought back to his past once again, the killing of his father by the one he called his enemy, the one who would always be his enemy. The explosion of the tank, as he was thrown away, his empty eyes as his neck was snapped. These were images he would not forget. He would not forgive Arctaius, and he sure as hell wouldn’t let him win. Sebastian opened his eyes, as the ground around him was ruptured, as he clenched his fists, raising himself from the ground, as the liquid metal began coiling around his body once again, he reached for metal balls, hooked onto his belt loops, he focused his gaze on Arctaius.
Sebastian(thought): If you thought it would end that easily, You’re dead wrong… These AMP grenades will tear right through your body, it will be over from there. By separating the antimatter with an EM field, I can easily make more and more. If he decides to get close, I know what to do.
Sebastian soon threw the metal balls out, closing his hands as they flew past Arctaius, the man’s eyes darted around at the objects as they came
Arctaius: What is he-
Sebastian opened his hands, as the EM fields keeping the antimatter in place, soon dispersed, as not one, but multiple explosion roared around Arctaius, as the shockwave sent outward flattened the city surrounding them, what citizens hadn’t escaped were either destroyed as the force ripped them apart, or crushed by the collapse of the buildings above them. Arctaius soon found himself caught in the force of the explosion, and was thrown back, sent cascading through the city. Sebastian soon rushed to follow him, as yet another blade formed from the liquid metal that surrounded him. He closed in on his opponent as he held the blade in front of him, Soon, as he came in contact, he began to take swipes at arctaius, Leaving a cut on his arm, and side, before going in for a third swipe, only for Arctaius to move out of the way. Sebastian gritted his teeth, as he began taking more swipes, but found that, time and time again, the man simply dodged again, and again.
Sebastian(Thought): What?! But How???!
Arctaius: You’ve made a mistake… Your antimatter is indeed effective, but you forgot to calculate for one thing- Fool!!!
Sebastian(Thought): Wait...What does he mean?!
Arctaius: My body is a living reactor… My own body is the source of my solar energy, my training helped me to understand that. it produces radiation, but it can absorb it as well! By providing me with gamma rays- You’ve sealed your fate, I’ve been siphoning it for as long as you’ve been. My energy output has increased!
Sebastian: Tch- Even so, I’ll kill you Here!!!
Sebastian thrust his blade at Arctaius once again, but his opponent soon caught the blade between both of his palms. As Arctaius’ aura flowed around him once again, The blade simply melted in his hands, too Sebastian’s surprise, and, though he attempted to withdraw soon after, Arctaius gripped his head, with both of his arms, ignoring the continued strikes the Sebastian gave him to force him to release his grip.
Arctaius: I didn’t want to use too much energy here, as the apostles exist-- But it looks like... I DON’T NEED TO!!! SOLIS: ARDENTI SUPPLICIUM!!! (Burning Execution)
Soon, a yellow light came out of Sebastian’s mouth itself- as the man yelled, the outer layer of his skin was covered in the very same glow, as his yells grew louder. Though his words only came out as screams, they were repeated in his head, for him to hear, at the least.
Sebastian(thought):No!!! Dammit,DAMMIT!
Arctaius: NOW AND FOREVER-- BEGONE!!!
Arctaius soon kicked the man away, into a skyscraper, breaking it in half as he did, with the half falling on his opponent. His assault was not over yet, however, as he promptly knocked four others to the ground, destroying the foundations for the spires, and sending them crashing onto his Nemesis. Burying him under the rubble. Arctaius would soon stop, floating above as he looked down upon the rubble that he’d buried his opponent under.
Arctaius:...The move I developed after my training… Once I learned how to force reactions - producing solar energy became much easier… the instant death move- that burns my opponent from the inside-Out… there's no way he could've survived that. I can’t waste time here- it's about time that I keep moving…
Arctaius would soon fly away from his deceased opponent, Toward Rizian.

Ætla Verǫld
AV Online was just a flash in the pan—a harsh, experimental land which lost most of its players in mere weeks. Only the dedicated few remained, carving out their destinies in corners of the vast abandoned world. Lily Quinn wasn't one of them. With a career worth millions in the esports world, she didn't have time for a game like Avo—but when an exclusive beta test for the new version showed up on her doorstep, she couldn't say no… as much as she wanted to. Literally hooked into the simulation, Lily reluctantly entered a world beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of. Accompanied by seven other beta testers desperate to save their beloved game, Lily dives into a vibrant, beautiful world, where mystery and adventure waits around every corner. Trapped in a game with no rules, and surrounded by cutthroat players eager to kill for a quick windfall, Lily and her ragged band have no choice but to fight their way out, or die in a game that has turned all too real. Hi there! I'm setting off on yet another adventure, come join me :3 Unusually for me, there's only one perspective this time, and it's quite a bit more action-oriented than I usually write. Don't worry, though: everything's still as character-driven as always, and I never get tired of writing dialogue. Just to acknowledge it up front: this story is heavily inspired by EVE Online and the many stories generated by that world. However, since this is a fantasy setting, not sci-fi, don't expect any real parallels. Chapter publish rate for this one will be whenever I write them, as with Epilogue. I don't expect to move as fast here though, since it's not for NaNo. The plan is chapters somewhere in the 4k-5k range, and hopefully frequently. The Last Science takes priority as always though. Special thanks to Reaver and Ace Arriande for pushing me to get this going, and to all my fellow writers whom I've stolen from been inspired by. You're all wonderful people and I love you Quick reminder: Patrons get to read ahead of what's published! Also, try my other works: The Last Science — A Tale of Modern Magic Epilogue — A Post-Fantasy Psychodrama What are you still doing on the synopsis? Get to reading!
