'Spooky whatever you have, do it now!!!"

Luke crazily shouted to Spooky. Currently, he didn't care why Spooky didn't inform him or what she was going to do. All he wanted to do is survive and protect his team!

The monster bear beast crushed the team of four with the immediate threat of death, and Luke had no plans to die a second time.

Of course, Andrea takes priority over the other two, but he sure as hell didn't want to see the cute Xiao Lingxi die a gruesome death. And Xiao Yun dying would leave a bad taste in his mouth. His already adrenaline high state and desperate will to live stir something inside his soul to answer his wish.

And suddenly, his wish came through from Spooky, and the answer was tremendous pain!

““AHHHHHHHHH!!!!””

Before the massive bear beast could even think about charging its prey, suddenly, Luke and Andrea's aura dramatically flared up. It was such a spike that even the bear had stopped, feeling its entire being become restless. While it didn't know why it was because the cousin's souls disturbed the bear soul.

Xiao Yun and Xiao Lingxi couldn't comprehend what happened.

First second the bear crashed in front of them, and the next, they saw blue and black lightning crazily spew out in the air! When glancing over to the cousins, their eyes burst open, observing blue lightning burst out of Luke, and black lighting spewed out of Andrea!

Luke and Andrea's desperate will to live pushed their souls to develop a bit allowing the ghosts girls to infuse a tiny bit of their soul powers into their bloodstreams.

Only this tiny bit caused humongous changes!

Luke never and didn't want to feel what it was like to get electrocuted, but now it'll be an experience he'll always remember in his life. Throughout his body, blue lightning course in it, connecting to every part of his body.

His bloodstream, organs, bones, meridians, and veins.

Everything was becoming infused with lightning. The pain should've made him pass out, it can make him pass out, but Luke refused. How could he pass out? If he did, then his dear cousin would die!

He wouldn't get to experience all of his new life! He wouldn't even be able to perform those grand attacks like the Xiao's! And he didn't want to see Xiao Lingxi die!

Why didn't this sudden stimulation appear earlier? He couldn't question it or bother with it as these thoughts constantly swirl his head as he willed himself to stay awake by screaming in pain. And deep down of his combined soul, a frantic change was taking place.

Similarly, Andrea was also tempering her will. Everything was just a sudden rush that it almost felt unreal to her. But she here in the moment with her cousin, life on the line she couldn't afford to think about anything else.

All that matter was roaring through the pain for whatever the ghosts girls have planned for them.

Their bodies, which would've fried any other Elementary Spirit Condensation body, resisted and took in the lightning!

Only two seconds pass, and yet on the outside from Luke and Andrea, two humans and beast felt their bodies and mind continuously stir. Something about the blue and black lightning disturbs their souls to their cores.

'Listen to my voice Luke; this is the manifestation of our powers! Soul lightning! Among many of our combined abilities, this one was carved deep into your original soul. Your body is on a high state, so now tighten your axe and unleash a glorious attack!'

Spooky told Luke, and his hand, and the axe gained a blue lightning aura.

'Andrea, know this is Curse lightning! We hold many combined powers, but this one takes precedent in your unfused soul. Your body will reform from this, but now, tighten your will and curse your sword!'

Yurei told Andrea, and her hand, and the sword gained a black lightning aura.

The soul stopping stupor the ferocious bear got put it in got promptly broken once sensing another massive increase in the cousin aura. Nascent essence energy gathered in the bear claws and feet, pushing its power to the extreme!

"GUAARRGH!!"

It blasted to the cousins like cannon, intending to take down the most substantial threat it felt with a vicious roar. At the same time, the bear had rushed, Luke and Andrea relied on their instinct, barreling through the pain, and swung their weapons down!

From Luke axe, streams of blue of lightning blasted out, and Andrea shot out black lightning streams! The bear beast seeing the attacks comes towards him had no chance to dodge at their speed. Hastily the bear gathers Nascent essence energy into its fur for a solid defense.

'BOOOM!!'

The ground trembles under the clash, trees broke off, and the air swirled in a frenzy. In their enhanced state, the cousin sensed the bear was still alive but critically injured.

It got pushed back a fair distance away from them, though it could cross this distance in seconds for the bear. Although when the beast eye snapped open and got back up, it had to take a knee immediately.

"Gwargh!!"

A lower shout, one with filled with pain, came from the beast. Inside it felt the black and blue lightning rampage! Constant flicker of black lightning flashed on the bear body as it began to fight off the electricity.

The flickering flashes of the black lightning also happened Andrea sword and hand. Andrea could barely move, feeling fried from the last attack but she heard her ghost girl saying,

'Push through and imagine wires that could stall that beast! That will be its curse!' Yurei hurriedly said to Andrea. Andrea coughed out a black fluid; presumably, she thought her blood and grit her teeth.

At least now, the intense pain from getting electrocuted was gone, but it still didn't alleviate all the pain. In haste, she grabbed the sword with both hands and imagined a black net cage that would trap the beast.

'Zzzzt!'

And from the tip of her sword curse, black lightning wires zoomed to the bear, wrapping the bear tightly. During the process, Spooky was telling Luke,

'It's the final stretch, I didn't grant the power to kill the beast as your body would've exploded, but now at its state, you must go to Xiao Lingxi and have her hold the axe with you!'

Luke held no question and obliged to Spooky, dragging his body over to Xiao Lingxi. The pain was tremendous, although not as much before but still enough to make any normal man faint twice over.

Luke, all before this, couldn't be considered as someone with a high will or an unshakable foundation. He only dared to explore the supernatural and putting his life on the line for himself and his cousin, which does take great courage.

But dealing with excruciating pain? Not something he ever dealt with even with his previous high pain tolerance. And yet he desperately didn't want to die again. He didn't want to waste it all on something like pain, which is why he dragged his body over to Xiao Lingxi feeling changes developing in his body.

"L-Luke!" Xiao Lingxi worriedly called him. What she saw vastly contrast to what Luke thought as bright blue color blood gushed out of his four orifices, his body becoming an enchanting blue color. She was astounded at the sudden power the cousin blasted and how far they were willing to go.

Any words she wanted to say got tied in her mouth. Go on and leave us? He could barely walk! She didn't want to die but felt hopeless at the current situation, even critically injure the beast can still maim them.

But as Luke got close, his eye crackled with his soul lightning! He bored right into Xiao Lingxi's eyes like he was peering into her soul. To all her hidden worries, Luke assuredly smile, getting her to slightly calm.

Xiao Yun couldn't take his eyes off from Luke. He, too, felt what he just saw was too unbelievable and even know still felt his soul stir from Luke. He wanted to help the cousins, but what could he do?

Even now, he also knew his prowess was all but useless, though staring into Luke's soul lightning eyes gave him a slight feeling of calmness.

"L-Lingxi, grab on to my axe. We'll kill the beast together." Luke groggily said, reaching his axe to Xiao Lingxi. Shakily and with no other options as she saw Andrea struggling to hold on to the beast, she held on to the axe.

Instantaneously a blue glow wrap over her hand, and she subconsciously walked closer to Luke. Their hands got close together, and their eyes met. A blue glow flashed in both of their eyes as they felt a slight connection forming.

Because Xiao Lingxi already liked and favored Luke, plus with him fighting to save their lives, it made it all the easier for Spooky to peer into her soul. If she was on her own, then even with the powerful hidden soul residing inside Xiao Lingxi, it still would've been easy for Spooky to invade in her soul.

But now she was fused with Luke, nearly all of her power and abilities got sealed. Spooky did it herself as to not damage their soul and body. It's why she could only wait until Luke connected his soul with the axe powering up his soul a bit.

Since at their base soul power since she couldn't wake up on her own in caution of destroying Luke.

It's also why Luke, by making Xiao Lingxi like him more, would their mighty fused soul directly attach with her soul since she wouldn't reject him. How could she reject him? In a life or death situation, Luke was like a blue lightning beacon of hope for all of them.

If they were to try it forcefully, then it would only cause dire consequences for the two. In Xiao Lingxi's soul, all Spooky saw was pitch black darkness, but she could sense that hidden powerful part of her soul.

"W-What, are you?! A being like you shouldn't exist!" It was a woman deep, powerful voice that would split apart any ordinary soul. But Spooky felt nothing from it, giving her usual smile saying,

"Don't worry I'm just marking our essence here. You will be really useful for us." With a flick of her fingers, a small strand of their soul lightning swims in the dark place that was her soul. This small stranded exuded a power that the voice knew it can't mess with it, but it did nothing else.

"Just think of this as the first one who fell under our curse..." Vanishing like a ghost, the voice was left alone while on the outside, Lingxi felt complex. It all happens in a manner of seconds from Spooky injecting their soul lightning inside her; it caused indescribable feelings in her.

But when Luke put his hand over her, she knew the brightest feeling was warmth. Luke, when he was walking over with her to strike, the beast suddenly clearly felt Xiao Lingxi's confused feeling. And being in tune with his soul he guessed it was Spooky doing so he said,

"Xiao Lingxi, you want to protect Xiao Yun, and I want to protect my cousin. So don't overthink and let it flow, so our team can continue with our good clause!" Looking at Luke's warm but blue bloody smile, Xiao Lingxi felt a small feeling bud in her chest. Despite Spooky, 'marking their essence', it was Luke's reassurance and calmness through his pain that got her heart to react.

Smiling with a faint blush, she nodded saying,

"Right! Let's finish this!"

And in sync, the souls inside their bodies ignited in bright flashes! Luke's body held a blue-black mix aura, and Xiao Lingxi gained the same mix with her aura being more blackish. They felt in touch with each other and raising the axe up,

"Now!!"

Both of them said swinging the axe down, unleashing blue-black lightning! Andrea only had to hold for eight agonizing seconds, but once she saw the lightning bast come, she dropped her sword, letting go of the bear.

And in the bear eyes, a blue-black flash blinded it as,

'CHI!'

The lightning tore into the bear and destroyed its body from the inside out. It couldn't even get a chance to wail out once all of it's organs and brain turn into mush!

Once the bear was dead, Luke and Andrea collapse to their knees.

"Luke!!" Xiao Lingxi immediately went down to support the nearly fading Luke while Xiao Yun rushed to help Andrea.

'Now its time!'

The two ghost girls declared, and suddenly Luke and Andrea body sixth, seventh, and eighth Profound entrances burst open! The two Xiao's got shocked at the rampant increase of essence energy flowing into the cousin's body.

'KA-CHA!'

Like several glass shattering, the cousins open three Profound entrances in a row! Attributed to the fact their bodies were sucking in essence energy to compete with the upgrades their lightning created for them.

Their fused souls crackled with powerful lightning, showing they just had unlocked a new ability. Instantly their injuries cleared up, and their bleeding stop as the two felt brand new!

"Oh, Luke! It's great; you're ok! You were fantastic!!" Xiao Lingxi was happier that Luke's injuries healed up than any breakthrough. And Luke couldn't feel warmer at her care.
