Everyone in the Black Demon group was lounging around without a hint of worry to be seen on their faces. Some were getting a bit more impatient about catching their next group, but they didn't dare complain too loudly.

After all, their boss could be quite terrifying to even them.

Although, for the black demon boss, he didn't know why but something felt...off, yet he was confused by it.

It was akin to a strange deadly premonition feeling that pricked his neck. But in this region, what could possibly make him feel a crisis?

And the black demon boss got his answer when he, along with the other group members, all instantly shot up on guard! They all were battle-hardened and can tell even when the slightest things are wrong.

Only this matters little when swiftly,

'Whir!'

A purple Spirit Barrier wrapped the whole group up instantaneously! No one, not even the black demon boss, could respond in time to the Barrier speed.

"Gehe? Who's so foolish to ambush us?!" The black demon boss called out since he didn't feel any powerful aura coming to them.

But as soon as he blurted these words, two tremendous auras immensely pressured the whole demon group!

"I do believe we are the foolish ones then."

And from a few meters in front of them, the melodic, soothing voice of a young man called to them. Instantly all eyes snapped to the front of the barrier.

Three beautiful young youths appeared before their eyes.

If this was a normal situation, then the black demon group would've been ecstatic! But currently, they all felt their bodies tense up.

Around Luke, Andrea, and Qingyue's bodies was a bright purple aura that exuded an incredible prowess.

The prowess of a late-stage Sky Lord!

Black Demon boss felt the ominous looming threat of death hangover their heads. All of their souls were trembling in fear, and they nearly lost all hope from them just appearing.

"Tch! Everyone bu-"

'Hua!'

The black demon boss attempted to talk while trying to bite his tongue. Only it was a shame a blinding fast purple Spirit Chain blitzed towards him with a speed that split the air apart!

None of the black demon group members could catch the chain with their eyes. The black demon boss fruitlessly attempted to gather up his Essence energy.

In only a second the chain neared the black demon boss and,

'Chi!'

"AHH!!"

The purple Spirit Chain ruthlessly tore through his shoulder like it was made of tofu! Sickly looking, blood swayed in the air, dying some of the black demon group members red.

The Black demon boss body wracked with tremendous pain. All throughout his body, he felt like something was depleting his Essence energy, leading for even more pain to course through him.

"B-boss?!?"

Everything happens just far too quickly. In one second, four youths with extraordinary prowess appear. In the next, their boss suddenly got their shoulder torn through!

'Whir!'

Watching their boss get pierce, everyone else flared up their Essence energy. In their minds, someone who can damage the boss like this surely has the ability to kill them all.

However, as soon as they attempted it, Andrea cold piercing voice said,

"Let's finish this up."

From the center of her palm, where the first Spirit Chain had torn through the boss, both her hands now shimmered in a dazzling purple shine. The black demon boss felt his chain disappeared and his eyes shined with fierce killing intent!

"Rush them!!"

The black demon boss roared out like a squealing pig. With what little Essence energy he had, he and the rest of the group members frantically rush over to Luke's group!

"Are you ready for something magical, Qingyue?" Luke held no worries towards the rushing group and held out his other hand.

Qingyue was still wondering just what exactly would Luke do. During the whole time Luke took her hand, she sensed her soul connection with Luke grew even stronger.

And naturally, her body and mind fell more in sync with Luke leading to where she felt like something in her soul just opened up for this.

It was then the whole situation in this battle had abruptly changed.

Everyone there suddenly felt the temperature dramatically drop. Qingyue's eyes widened once she sensed her soul link to tremendous power and from what appeared on Luke's hand.

A purple-blue ice lotus grew like a blooming plant at the center of his palm!

"Shit! My body!"

All of the black demon group felt their bodies majorly slow down by the declining freezing temperature.

Their mad rush suddenly took a nosedive, and their nightmare wasn't over yet. In the form of a bright purple flash, dozens of Spirit Chains blasted toward the demon group.

The speed of the chains was invisible to the demon group's eyes. All of them were helpless as nearly all of them got wrapped up in the powerful chains.

"Ack!!"

Those who were trapped by the chains felt their entire bodies get utterly suppressed. Their bones were getting violently crushed, and their mouths puked out blood.

The only ones not wrapped up was the demon boss and the large stature man who talked to him earlier.

But their will to move wasn't all that high as of now. Not only were all of their other group members captured, but their bodies were also trying to fight off this freezing cold.

"Now for the finale."

Luke said and aimed his palms at the two men not trapped. In an instant, Luke created another Spirit Power lotus and pushed the two lotuses out of his palm.

Watching Luke do this, the two men made up their minds. Desperately, they were going to frantically burn all of their blood essences to escape, but their ears heard first,

"Frozen Arts, Ice Lotus!"

All the two men saw was a purple-blue streak of light and,

'Bang!'

They both crashed into the ground while blue-purple ice encased their bodies. Both men experienced piercing painful cold suppress them to the point where they could no longer move.

Luke and Andrea were sweating since they went all out at the start, but the results exceeded what they expected.

Luke was the one who erected the Spirit Barrier in case any of them tried to escape, but it was obviously not needed. Initially, the cousins thought at the late stage of their Spirit Power, they would only be slightly stronger than the demon group boss.

But now it seems like their Spirit Power prowess stands above the seventh level and at least equals out to the eight-level!

"H-How…" The demon boss had weakly muttered out while he felt his life slowly slip away. Only a week has passed, and yet those two somehow got immensely powerful!

This kind of dramatic power boost should simply be impossible, but he was experiencing the cold hard truth.

"Luke, you wanted to know how I cultivated, right? Well, obverse their curse for attacking us." Andrea got Luke and Qingyue's attention as she spoke with a clear cut cold voice.

'Remember, this only for practice. Don't get carried away.' Yurei reminded Andrea in her mind as an ominous black aura seeped out of her.

And from the ones in her chains, the same black aura oozed out of their bodies like ghostly gases.

The demon group members couldn't tell what was happening.

Until their nearly shattered minds got wholly destroyed by a more intense fear of the unknown. None of them could even scream out before Andrea clenched her hands.

'Chi!'

With a sickly crunch several Earthen Core warriors, and Sky Lord cultivators going all the way up to the fourth level, died like mere ants.

Now in Andrea's soul, far more clearly than her first kill, she felt her soul stir slightly. The natural sensation she felt last time course through her body, but for this time, she could clearly tell it didn't match up to Xiao Zaihe being killed.

Still, Andrea quickly controlled herself and dispersed everything.

The mysterious black aura from her disappeared, and she returned to her usual self.

If this was anybody else, they would've felt their knees tremble from that terrifying sight and would want to never come in contact with Andrea.

But Luke felt nothing besides his cousin being happier. Although Qingyue did feel wearier around Andrea since she doesn't have a complete immunity like Luke does.

"Maybe it's not so simple, but I gather you can grow stronger from killing and feeding off fear?" Luke asked as his observant mind was already making guesses.

"Not exactly. In a way, we both grow from connections. When that Xiao guy died, my soul had linked itself to the regrets and negative emotions of his soul. At first, I had to ignore this feeling. Then during the week, I managed to study upon it and perfectly curse his soul into mine."

With a concerned look, Luke had then asked,

"I think I get it...the Xiao guy was connected to us through Xureuo, and through you, his life abruptly ended at some random place. Basically, you feed off from connected hatred."

"A bit like that. I'm still learning, but from what I gathered, the person can't greatly exceed my body combat prowess. I only just barely managed to curse the Xiao guy soul, and he was only two steps above me without my sword. Killing is essentially the easiest way for a person to link all of their regrets to me."

Thinking back on the week, now it made more sense for Qingyue on why Andrea didn't move a single inch or interacted with the Phoenix group.

At first, she thought it was her being antisocial until now. But she did have a question and asked her,

"The state of your mind. Is it going to be ok from feeding off hatred?"

It was a question that did concern Luke too since while this may seem like an easy way to level up, there could be dangerous consequences.

Although Andrea only smiled in return saying,

"Little Qingyue, little Luke, don't worry. The first time I just relied on my natural instinct, I will now only do it once in a while. Since you are right, it can easily destroy my mind and completely transform me. What I did just now was testing out shattering their minds upon death. And look if I'm not here, little Luke will miss his favorite cousin."

To even a veteran cultivator, this sort of ability would unnerve them and make them want to give up on pursuing it. Just saying it is far different from experiencing it.

Even more, ironically, experiencing intense regrets and hatred was one of the causes that got them into this universe...

Yet Andrea already seemed far passed that point in her life. To the point where Luke was guessing, she was far more in tune with her fused soul. Still, Andrea did manage to give them a surprisingly warming smile.

Luke though put his hand on her shoulder saying sincerely,

"Just remind yourself to not get too influenced. Our souls can have that option, you know?" Luke was obviously referring to their ghost girls in a way only Andrea would understand.

"Compared to me, Luke, I find it quite enjoyable to be at one with my soul. Who knows, maybe you should try it too? It'll give you pleasant benefits like what happens in the ruins. In any case, shouldn't you put those guys out of their misery?"

Only now did Qingyue and Luke realized they were just standing around talking while two guys painfully froze to death.

"Ah, right." On two of Luke's fingers, two small purple ice needles formed over it.

And with a casual flick, the two Spirit needles plunged into the two men's brains, effectively killing them.

Thinking about Luke waited to see if he were to feel any sensation from their hatred or regrets, but he felt nothing. Only then did he just realize, so it really was Andrea that he felt before!

'How sneaky of her. You know, we do share a connection with her and Yurei. But you two would only find out way later down the line. Yet it really does look like Andrea and Yurei are getting buddy buddies.'

'We'll...talk later.'

Luke said, and honestly, Andrea was right. He spends far more time with his girls than Spooky, but he already has some ideas on how to solve this issue.

Once everything was said and done, Luke dropped the Spirit Barrier letting the bloody stench breathe out.

"My, my. As per usual, you two always have the most overwhelming performances." Cang Yue spoke up to them as she walked over from their hiding spots.

"But there isn't a single time where their shows aren't amazing!" Lingxi also praised them as she walked over.

Now that they were about to leave, Luke was going to bring up the imperial capital until Spooky told him,

'After you tell them about the capital, it's time for you all to settle another just debt…'
