Chapter 35: To The Barbershop
Elder Wu's words forced Lu Chen to reevaluate how he was looking at the entire situation.
He's right. If I keep thinking about the doubts that could happen, I will never achieve what I want. Lu Chen knew he was letting the fear of what had happened in the future to guide what he's doing now. I should be using the mistakes as a basis to fix what I can now. Right now, he needs to work on his steps rather than his run.
"Thank you, Elder Wu. I will keep your saying in mind."Lu Chen smiles as he could feel the doubt from before disappearing from his mind.
"Young master, you don't need to thank me. My duty is to guide you until you become a proper adult." Elder Wu didn't say anymore as he continues to drive the car. With his words, Elder Wu knew Lu Chen would be in the perfect state of mind. Lu Chen will be able to process his thoughts clearer.
And that is correct. With Lu Chen's mind clearer, his thought process was fluently and focused. Right now, we're too weak. Lu Chen knew that with his family's current situation, it wouldn't be enough. Their future enemies were people who would think their family was chump change.
We will need to have at least the same influence as the Liu Family to deal with them. If the Lu family gain the same amount of power as the Liu family, then Lu Chen could feel assured. Even if the enemy has an equal influence as them, they wouldn't be foolish in attacking.
Our family was able to gain influence similar to Liu's when big brother Tian became a government official. While second brother made the Lu Corporation into one of the top ten wealthiest companies in China. But all of these achievements would happen ten years from now. It will take too long for us to amass enough power. Lu Chen knew the person who had screwed his family over had started his plan long before the ten years.

Lu Chen starts to tap his forehead in deep thought. I need to jump-start Lu Corporation's development. But I will need my own influence and power besides the Lu Corporation to make a move without notice. The main reason why the Lu corporation fell was due to the one-dimensionality the company focuses on. The enemy quickly took advantage of this.
That is why Lu Chen needs to create his own company to counteract the one-dimensionality of what the Lu Corporation is based on.
Lu Chen contemplates what type of company he should focus on. But then the car makes a stop. Elder Wu turns to Lu Chen and says, "Young master, we are here." He points at the barbershop in front of them.
Oh, yeah. I forgot about my haircut. Lu Chen was lost in thought that he had forgotten he was getting a haircut. The two walks into the barbershop and the interior design was very modern and classical. Looking around, Lu Chen could tell this shop had maintained cleanliness and tidiness.
“Hello, how may I help the two of you?” A female clerk walks up to them, smiling. She looks at the two, especially at Lu Chen.
What long hair he has. The clerk stares at Lu Chen, wondering why he kept it so long. Lu Chen’s hair was covering both his eyes, and the length goes beyond his nose.
“Yes, can he get a haircut?” Elder Wu politely said as he points at Lu Chen.
“Is there any specific barber that you want?”
"It doesn't matter which barber will cut my hair."
"Ok. Then please sit over there and the young man, please sit in this seat. One of the barbers will come to you after they finish with their customers. The clerk said. While signaling with hands for Lu Chen to sit on the barber chair and Elder Wu at the corner.

As Lu Chen was waiting for the barber, he looks at the multiple images of different hairstyles that were hung onto the wall.
The various styles of cut made Lu Chen’s head spin in confusion. There were too many styles to choose from, and he didn’t know which one would fit him.
