Chapter 64: Too Dangerous and Lethal

With how long our families been together, I doubt that they will become our enemies just because of a broken engagement." Elder Wu knew it's a big jump from being friends for three generations to enemies.

Lu Chen nods his head, "Yes, it wouldn't have been a problem if it's anybody else, but the problem is it's Ye Meixiu. Using her would be putting a red target onto our backs. It can be anyone else, but it cannot be Ye Meixiu."

“She sees me as a reliable big brother.” Lu Chen said, puffing his chest out proudly. To Lu Chen, Ye Meixiu will always be that little girl who he spoils and watches over. Lu Chen didn't tell Elder Wu, but the main reason why the man didn't want to use Ye Meixiu is she will always be a little sister to him. He didn't want to let her get into his problems when he can deal with them himself.
