Chapter 82: Bloodthirsty Beasts
The taste is so enticing Lu Chen couldn't help himself as he begins to eat it as quickly as possible. Each and every bite, the flavor becomes more refined. His mouth made a grin as wide as the sun as he eats.
Seeing how happy Lu Chen is, Ye Meixiu smiles from it as well. A smiling brother Chen is always the best looking. The smile Lu Chen is making enhances his looks by at least 20 percent! Wai, can't I get something from this? A twinkle can be seen in her eyes as Ye Meixiu had thought of something good.
"Big brother, is the coffee cake really that delicious?" Ye Meixiu questions him curiously.
"Mmmhmm." Lu Chen couldn't hide the happiness in his voice as he continues to eat.
"Can I have a bit then?" Ye Meixiu's eyes twinkle as she asks him.
"Sure. Here, take a piece yourself." Lu Chen moves his plate closer to Ye Meixiu, allowing her to take a piece herself.
But Ye Meixiu frowns as she suggests to Lu Chen, "Brother Chen, could you feed me a piece instead." The moment she proposes this, almost all the male customers almost drop to the ground in shock. Oh, please don't do it! I don't think we can handle it!
"Hmmm? But wouldn't it be easier for you to use your own fork instead?" Lu Chen knew if he follows what she said and feeds her, it'll create a weird atmosphere between the two of them. It would definitely make the two of them look like a couple, and he didn't want that to happen.
Ye Meixiu pouts at him as she explains, "But brother Chen, if I use my own fork to eat your cake, then the taste of the cake would taste different." She had been stuffing herself with four other cakes. If she uses her own fork to taste his cake, its flavor would be mix with the others.

Lu Chen knew what she said has some validity to it, but he felt something is off. Why is she so insistent on me feeding her?
"Please, brother Chen." Ye Meixiu isn't going to let Lu Chen say something else. She couldn't let this chance get away from her grasp. Brother Chen, you force my hand. She begins to make a quivering and dow-eyed expression that could kill off anybody. She became the epitome of cuteness. The male crowd could feel their mouths automatically turning into a wide grin. Tho, some of them are receiving some punishment for their dumb look. Their partners are either pinching their thighs or got a death glare from them.
Oh no! Not that expression! I can't believe you're really pulling that out!
Lu Chen didn't know what to say after seeing her expression. If he says no right now, then he knows the crowd of guys will kill him on the spot. And the worst part, Ye Meixiu will cry. But if he says yes, they might look like a couple, and it would cause a bigger problem in his plan later.
What should I do?! Lu Chen is banging on his head on a brick wall in his mind.
Seconds that turn into tens of seconds pass and people can see the tears forming in Ye Meixiu's dowed eyes. Is brother Chen really not going to do it for me? This expression had always been a secret weapon to make Lu Chen do whatever she wanted.
“Brother Chen, actually, never mind. You don’t need to feed me.” Ye Meixiu made a slight miscalculation when thinking about how much Lu Chen cares about her. She hadn't accounted the time where she had distance herself with the three in this. Crap, I was too hasty. The right decision now is to back down, so it doesn't make this scene strained.

But brother Chen feeding me would have checked off one of my biggest wishes. Ye Meixiu could only sigh in regret.
Seeing that Ye Meixiu’s expression was so innocent and depressed made Lu Chen feel a little guilty for not doing it. But that guilt isn't as heavy as the ominous air circling around him. A glare of a pack of bloodthirsty beasts are staring him down.

Our Chaoz; Our Reality (Completed)
Everyone has their own reasons, be it past events, personality or simply company. But most at some point divulge themselves into videogaming, be it for entertainment or more compettitive reasons. In this year and age there are many genres of gaming, one specific genre though still holds on tight to the ledge it was pushed to trying to pull itself back up. MMORPGs were once the top of everybody's list, adventure, combat, storytelling and endless grind in one single game. It was a different life for most, as if a parallel world to our own. You could be a knight indulging yourself in combat, a mage expertly crafting spells of mass destruction or creation. A ranger exploring the land and hunting down prey, an assassin completing contracts and hording the spoils. A troll scamming children out of their hard earned 10 gold and making more hardcore players rage quit for the day. Or something else. Kyle was a simple player, he always picked the strangest classes or jobs and his characters almost looked the same. He played for the combat, he played for the grind and he played for his guild but above all he played for the story. Kyle is a roleplayer, one who enjoys the simple parts of this virtual life. Whether his guild was starting a war or ending one he'd always have his drammatic entrence or exit, his decleration of annihalition or demand of surrender. After all that? He divulged himself in the game's story, the interaction with NPCS (Non Player Characters) and their advanced AI. He went through many questlines, many tales of heroics and many more adventurers of legend but one thing always remained true with his character. Kyle absolutely loved to the play the villain. But when game turns reality, what will he and his guild of twisted personalities do?

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
