Chapter 88: The Comments
"Hey, Meixiu! What's that over there!" Lu Chen immediately shouts out as he looks down the street.
"Hmm?" Ye Meixiu looks in the direction where Lu Chen was looking. When she did, her grip started to loosen, and Lu Chen took advantage of that moment! He quickly took her hands off of his arm as he dashed with great speed into the school! The only way for him to escape from this scene is to run away, leaving Ye Meixiu standing there in shock.
"Brother Chen!" Ye Meixiu couldn't help but scream out! She never expects Lu Chen would take advantage of her curiosity and leave her there.
Ignore it, ignore it, ignore it. This is a strategic withdrawal, strategic withdrawal. Lu Chen continues to run without looking back at the screaming Ye Meixiu. Yet, he could still feel the gazes of the male student's turning sharper as it pierces his back. They were looking at him as a scum abandoning his wife.

The moment he walks into the classroom, he sighs in relief.
"Phew, thank god. I escape from that hell." Lu Chen knew if he had stayed any longer in that situation, he felt the male students would have taken him to a corner and gut him alive like a fish. Regardless of Ye Meixiu being there, the amount of hate they produced could kill.
"Escape from hell? Then what would you call the situation you are in right now?" A cold and menacing voice retorts behind Lu Chen's back.
Cold sweat drips down Lu Chen's face as he forgot something, no someone. He slowly turns around to see Zhang Jian glaring at him.
"Heyo, my best friend." Lu Chen said happily, trying to butter him up. But it had the opposite effect.

Zhang Jian glares at him even more intensely. Seeing his inner rage about to explode, Lu Chen knew he wouldn't be able to escape with just a compliment.
Welp. This is pure hell. Lu Chen couldn't help but cry inside.
"So tell me, how does it feel going out with one of the most beautiful girls in our school? You're the scum of the earth. Even going to a couples cafe on your first date as well." Zhang Jian said sarcastically. The glare Lu Chen was getting is like Lu Chen is the shame of the male species.
Zhang Jian was forced to calm down all of his female classmates when Lu Chen had left. Also, other female students had come to his class to ask about him. And they were stubborn as a mull. They didn't leave until Zhang Jian answered their questions. Zhang Jian had no choice but to skip his lunch and explain everything to the girls.
While he was doing this, his best friend, on the other hand, was having the time of his life! Eating with the top beauty of the school. Every male would kill to have a day like that. Zhang Jian had been crying tears of blood when he found out the two went to a cafe for couples.
You bastard! While you were in heaven having fun with the Angel, I was in hell! I can't believe I have to fix the dumpster fire you have caused in our class! Where is the humanity?!

"Wait, how did you know that Meixiu and I went to a cafe?" Lu Chen didn't focus too much on the students to see what they were doing. The students had been taking pictures of the two of them eating and posting them on the forum.

"Look." Zhang Jian pulls out his phone and shows a picture of the two eating their desserts happily. There are at least 20 pictures, each with the titles:

The list went on and on about what Lu Chen and Ye Meixiu had done in the cafe. Some pictures were even explaining the meeting between the three girls as well. And the comments were pretty obvious as well. All of them were praising the beauty of the three. While others commented about how they deserve their titles as the most beautiful girls in First High. The number of comments went over 2000 as well!
Lu Chen could tell all of those comments that were written were from men. Also, there were comments about Lu Chen; every male's remarks were negative about how he was a frog eating swan meat. While the females were consistently praising his looks and demeanor.

Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.
