Chapter 107: Wu Zhen and Huo Dong

The two of them went on with the lamest insults possible. It made them look like two preschoolers. Lu Aotian slams the newspaper onto the table, snapping the two out of it.

"Lu Hao, Lu Chen! Are the two of you a bunch of five-year-olds?!" Lu Aotian scolds them as he couldn't stand it.

"But he started it!" The two said with perfect unison, leading to a perfectly timed glare as well.

Heh, a bunch of childish brats. Lu Aotian sighs as he shakes his head,

"I already had enough listening to these two from my left ear." Pointing at Zhang Wenling and Lu Xiaotong continue to act like a couple, "So I don't want to hear arguing coming from my right ear."

Both Lu Chen and Lu Hao became silent. Lu Aotian's words are law.

"Hmpf." The two turn away the moment they glanced at each other.

Lu Aotian could only watch the two with a wry smile plastered on his face. He understands brothers will argue once in a while. And it will blow off later on. He then turns to Lu Chen, "Xiao Chen, don't you need to get ready for school?"

"Oh yeah! I better get going now!" Lu Chen says as he quickly ate his breakfast and leaves the scene.

When Lu Chen walks outside, he sees Elder Wu waiting for him. However, it's a strange scene. There's no car parked outside with him.

"Elder Wu, where's the car?" Once Lu Chen asks that question, Elder Wu smiles like he was waiting for him to say it.

"Young master, I won't be going to school with you today." Before Lu Chen could say anything to that, Elder Wu adds, "Instead, you will be walking to school by yourself."

"What?!" Lu Chen looks at him with bafflement. It would take at least half an hour to get to First High from the Lu Manor by car. If he walks, plus the fact his body is exhausted, Lu Chen knows he'll be late.

Lu Chen was about to retort, but Elder Wu is one step ahead of him. He says, "Young master, this will be training for you. Running and doing more roadwork will help you increase your stamina."

"Really?" Lu Chen felt skeptical of what Elder Wu said.

Are you sure it isn't because you want to take the day off?

From the reluctant expression Lu Chen had on his face, Elder Wu continues, "Young master, trust me. This is for your own good."

".....Alright. I will run then." Lu Chen trusts Elder Wu as he starts jogging out of the front gates.

When Lu Chen was out of sight from the manor, two figures dropped down from the trees.

"Lao Ba, aren't you being too harsh on Xiao Chen?"

"I agree with Wu Zhen, master. Xiao Chen doesn't have any martial art experience."

The two people who dropped down from the tree are Elder Wu's son Wu Zhen and the other person is his disciple, Huo Dong. They're the protectors who are in charge of monitoring Lu Hao and Lu Aotian.

"What are the two of you doing here?" Elder Wu says with a cold voice. His son and disciple should be monitoring Lu Hao and Lu Aotian, not lounging around in a tree and watching Lu Chen.

Understanding why Elder Wu is angry, Wu Zhen laughs it off, "Lao Ba, it's alright. After all, with you here, I'm pretty sure nobody is going to march into the Lu Manor unless they have a death wish."

If the person actually walks in here, then they would have the confidence to deal with Lao Ba. So I doubt Huo Dong and I will not be able to do much.

In terms of power, it would be Wu Zhen and Huo Dong equally matching each other. While Elder Wu is at the top of the pyramid. But the top of the pack was miles apart from the bottom of the latter.

Not caring about his son's justification, he smacks him on the head, "Fool! Our duty as protectors is to watch over the young masters 24/7. How could we call ourselves if we cannot do this?"

Huo Dong immediately went on one of his knees and bows his head. He agrees with Elder Wu, "Master, you are absolutely right. That's what I have been saying to Wu Zhen, but he forced me to lounge around with him."
