Chapter 111: WITH MY LIFE!

The punching bag couldn't withstand the hit as the sand inside went flying all over the place. Kang Shuchun's display of strength made the other people there go wide-eyed. As she walks over to Elder Wu, everybody makes way for her, scared she might grind them to paste.

"Take a breather first." With how her eyes radiate bloodlust like no tomorrow, Elder Wu needs her to take a break. He knew if he said anything to her in this state, then she would completely disregard it.

Kang Shuchun took a minute to calm herself, and the bloodlust died down. Seeing this, Elder Wu asks,

"I need you to do something for me."

"You need me to do something for you, master?" Elder Wu never asked for any favors from anybody. It wasn't because Elder Wu is stubborn and prideful. It's because there was no need for anybody else to help. The man can single-handedly do everything without breaking a sweat despite his old age.

Drive a car? He doesn't need to break a sweat.

Designing a house? He already has five blueprints of different types of homes ready for you.

Making a car? Give him a day, and you will have a handmade sports car in perfect-mint condition in the morning.

So it was surprising for the super butler to ask for a favor from his disciple.

Elder Wu nods his head as he explains, "I need you to monitor Xiao Chen as he jogs to school in the morning. Can you do it?" Elder Wu could definitely tail Lu Chen without being noticed. But he had something important to do for this month. So he needs another person, someone similar to his level, to protect Lu Chen.

And Kang Shuchun is the perfect person to protect Lu Chen. The reason why he decided to pick Kang Shuchun was due to her feelings for Lu Chen.

However, those feelings are a double-edged sword.

Her feelings for Lu Chen are similar to what Lu Chen had for Liu Fei Fei. But it was much crazier. Elder Wu didn't know how her feelings came about like this, but it's a problem. It would be too dangerous for her to stand next to Lu Chen usually.

Elder Wu warns her, "Shuchun, don't do anything weird to the young master. Got it?" He had to warn her before she could do anything.

Instead of getting a response from Kang Shuchun, all Elder Wu got is a blank expression. Did you catch any of that? Elder Wu starts to frown as he snaps his fingers, trying to get her attention in any way possible.

But nothing. Kang Shuchun continues to look into space without noticing anything around her.

"Hey! Are you listening?!" Elder Wu questions his choice in asking her to guard Lu Chen. Before he could tell her nevermind,

"Yes! Master, I understand! I will definitely protect Xiao Chen with my life! He will be safe under my protection!" It was like her body knew what was going to happen, snapping her back into reality.

Hehe. Finally, I get to see my Chen Chen again! Nothing is going to stop me now! Chen Chen, don't you worry. Big sister is coming back!

The girl's ecstasy wasn't hidden as the expression she's making shows everything. And Elder Wu's brows knit.

That's the problem.

Elder Wu was going to repeat what he said before to make sure. But the passion burning in her eyes made him go silent. He knows if he says anything about having doubts about this, he fears Kang Shuchun might act recklessly.

Did I make the right choice?
