Chapter 120: His sudden actions

Feng Meifeng thought Lu Chen would never give her this piece of paper until she nags at him a few more times.

Elder Wu smiles at how hardworking Lu Chen is being as he continues to practice. Walking up to him, he asks, “It seems that you are working hard, young master.” His punches look like spears driving towards his next prey.

Lu Chen turns to him and shakes his head, “But it’s not enough. I need to work harder.” He punches with more force as he said this.

Elder Wu steps up to the plate again as he said, “Lu Chen, today we will be going over what we were doing yesterday. But we’re going to be adding combat experience.” He knew if Lu Chen continues to get hit like this, then he would only be a punching bag to his enemies. The best way for him to get better is with a training partner.

Lu Chen nods, “Alright, do you want to begin now?” Eagerness drives Lu Chen as he’s now getting some fight experience.

But Elder Wu shook his head, “ Lu Chen, I won’t be the one fighting you. Instead, it would be another person.” He had prepared her for this as he looks at one of the trees, “Shuchun, you can come down now!”

Kang Shuchun jumps down the tree. When she heard that Elder Wu was selecting her to be Lu Chen’s training partner, she almost fainted. However, the one who looks like he was about to faint was Lu Chen. His eyes turn wide in disbelief, and it seems like he was about to cry.

Lu Chen couldn’t help himself as he rushes up to Kang Shuchun. He gives her a big hug, leaving Kang Shuchun and Elder Wu stunned.
