Chapter 123: Am I Alive?
"Uggggh." Lu Chen begins to wake up, groaning from pain. Am I alive? The only thing he could remember was being judo flipped like a ragged doll by Kang Shun. The rest of the incident is still groggy to him. Wait, I'm still alive? If he died because of Kang Shuchun, then it would have been the biggest joke ever.
How did I end up in my bed? He realizes that he is back in his bedroom. When he tries to get up, Elder Wu walks up into the room. When he saw Lu Chen awake, he quickly asks him in worry,
“Young master, are you ok? Do you still feel any dizziness?”
"I don't remember much about what happened. But I can still feel the pain after being knocked out." Lu Chen jokes. Not only is his back is in pain, so is his pride. He didn't even last a single second against Kang Shuchun.
“Oh, thank goodness. It seems that you don't have any major injuries." When Elder Wu had checked Lu Chen outside, he didn't see any bruises except for the wound on his forehead. But it didn't mean Lu Chen didn't have any on the inside.
"Elder Wu, how long was I out for?" Lu Chen notices the sun is still up in the sky, but it wasn't as sunny when he trained. He touches his head, realizing there are bandages around his forehead.
“You’ve been out cold for two hours.” Luckily, Elder Wu got Lu Chen out of Kang Shuchun’s clutches and gave him first aid. If he didn’t, it could have been much worse.
Two hours?! Dammit, all that training time being wasted! Lu Chen wanted to get up and make up the time he lost. But Elder Wu stops him and insists,

"Young master, you shouldn't get up so quickly. You fell head first down to the ground. Your lucky to even be conscious this quickly from Shuchun's move." Elder Wu pushes Lu Chen back down to the bed. If it was anybody else, the person might have been out for a few more hours. Plus, with Kang Shuchun’s momentum, the throw was even deadlier than regular throws.
“Wait, I fell headfirst to the ground?” Before Lu Chen could say anything else, the scene played back to him. Him becoming a windmill, Kang Shuchun’s lifeless dangerous look, and smashing into the tree. It was a never-ending roller coaster with a bad ending to it. Just remembering it made Lu Chen want to throw up. He could feel the dinner he had yesterday coming up.
Seeing the pale face of Lu Chen, Elder Wu shakes his head at him. He warns, “ Young master, never underestimate anyone ever again.” He got lucky Kang Shuchun didn’t drive in after her throw.
Lu Chen nods his head in agreement. He let his guard down and got his ass handed to him. But even if I did have it up, would it still protect me? Kang Shuchun was able to flip him with ease and threw him like he weighs nothing. I don’t think I would have won.
He lays there aimlessly and looks at the ceiling.
It seems that he has learned his lesson. Elder Wu tells him, “ Young master, take your rest now. Don’t move around so much and get some rest.” Elder Wu closes the door, leaving Lu Chen alone.
Maybe I can-.
Before Lu Chen could finish his train of thought, Kang Shuchun came running in. It wasn’t even a second after Elder Wu had left. Without out giving him a chance to say anything, she gives him a big hug.

“Chen Chen, I’m so sorry! I never meant to hurt you!” Whenever Elder Wu would shout out to her like that, it was like a trigger. She would go into a battle state and loses all restriction of her strength. Her mind goes blank from killing intent. She is a genuine battle junkie to the core.
When she had regained her consciousness and saw a ragged Lu Chen, her heart burst. She had almost killed her future lover. Numerous tears drip down from her eyes when she remembers the scene.
