Chapter 146: Is Lu Chen my Bane?
Zhang Jian spots twelve people who are coming through the gates. They aren't the run-of-the-mill students. Actually, they aren't even students at all. If there is one word that could describe them, its: thugs. They have tattoos covering their entire bodies, wearing sleeveless shirts showing off their nonexistent muscles. Even though the thugs are trying to keep it hidden, Zhang Jain could spot some of them holding metal bats. As they walk, anybody could feel the cockiness and smugness coming off of them. Zhang Jian could tell these people are here looking for trouble.
Why are there thugs coming onto the school ground? Shouldn't the security guards not let people like this in? Zhang Jian felt something odd was going on.
Even though Zhang Jian felt worried that something was about to go down, Lu Chen wasn't. He saw Zhang Jian's expression and points out, "It doesn't matter if they came here to cause trouble or not. We're leaving, so it wouldn't cause a problem for us." He could tell what Zhang Jian was thinking about.
"But..." Zhang Jian was about to retort to that, but Lu Chen adds,
"Look, if you're that scared of them, then let's go through the parking lot opening. Sheesh." Lu Chen shakes his head at how much of a coward Zhang Jian is.
As long as they don't do anything to me, it doesn't matter to me.
Before Lu Chen could even walk a single step, Zhang Jian grabs him by the shoulder. "What?" When Lu Chen turns back to Zhang Jian, he notices the weird expression he's making. He quickly urges him, "Brother Chen, quickly look at that?!" The problem has just gotten worse for the two by the minute.
When Lu Chen looks at what Zhang Jain is pointing at, he could feel like the heavens are playing a bitch move for him.

Seeing Lu Chen standing still, Zhang Jian pushes him more, "We need to help the class monitor, brother Chen! Those thugs are eyeing her down!"
Yes. Right now, the twelve thugs are walking up to Feng Meifeng.

"Hey boss, are you sure we can't have any fun with these students? They all look so pretty that it would be a waste not to ruin them." A tall and lanky thug said to his leader. He looks at the female students walking by with lustful eyes.
"Hehe, I don't mind if you are going to have some fun. But let me in on it as well. How cany you have fun without your boss?" The thug's leader, Gu Qingshan, says with an evil grin on his face. Even though we're here to break some dumb kid's leg, it doesn't mean that we can't have some fun with these cuties.
But then, an irritated voice chime in, "Focus, we are here to find Lu Chen, not to play around." The person who said this is a muscular man with a scar down his left eye.
"Duan Cheng, relax. Hitting on those girls will help us find that asshole." Gu Qinshan said with smugness to his vice leader. We can hit on girls as we ask for information about that brat. Gu Qinshan didn't have much information about their victim. The butler only told them to come to First High and break the arm of a handsome male student named Lu Chen. So it is fair game for them to find whatever info they can about him.
When the other delinquents heard what their boss said, they grin in delight. They begin to search around for any female students they could "ask" for help. The only person who didn't do it is Duan Cheng. Looking at how clean and expensive the uniforms are, Duan Cheng knew this isn't an ordinary school. Gu Qingshan doesn't realize this as he's doing the same thing as the others. But then Gu Qinshan stops. He found the perfect girl to ask: Feng Meifeng.

Feng Meifeng didn't realize she's being gawked at as she is "sulking" still. The girl continues to gripe over what Lu Chen had said to her before. How could he have beaten me? Better yet, why is that idiot so pig-headed? What Zhang Jian had thought before is right. Feng Meifeng had been embarrassed by Lu Chen suddenly shouting out to her like that. The number of gazes looking at her is enough to make her flush in anger.
Is Lu Chen my bane or something? Each and every time she felt embarrassed or shameful, Lu Chen is the common denominator.
While she continues to be lost in thought, the lanky thug came up to her. He asks, "Hey, beautiful. Today's your lucky day, my boss had taken a liking to you. How about you come and hang out with us?
