Chapter 150: Power struggle

When looking at Lu Chen's righteous face, Gu Qingshang kinda believed him. The information he had gotten from the butler beside Lu Chen is a handsome male student, and that Lu Chen is always followed by a lackey. The evidence he had gotten matches up with Lu Chen's words.

"Duan Cheng, you and four others go into the school and break Lu Chen's arm." When Gu Qingshan said this, Duan Cheng's face instantly fell. Are you really going to let a kid play you like this? Duan Cheng quickly protested,

"Gu Qingshan, are you really going to listen to this guy?" Duan Cheng couldn't believe Gu Qingshan would believe Lu Chen's words. He's 80 percent positive the person in front of them is Lu Chen.

Yet Gu Qingshan ignores his words, "Just do as you are told." For Duan Cheng to question him after he gave out the order makes him look bad.

"But-" Duan Cheng wanted to continue. If he takes four others with him, then their fighting force would be halved.

"Don't you question me! I'm your leader and your only second in command." The two begin to glare at each other, not minding the look Lu Chen is giving them.

Oh, so there is a split in power between the two groups. But this is good, that should be enough. Lu Chen knows five people are enough to deal with Long Shen and Yao Shao. And Duan Cheng is leaving as well. Lu Chen had been doing the same as he analyzed each thug. The only person who had an inkling of the situation being odd is Duan Cheng. If he leaves the area, Lu Chen could sigh in relief.

However, the job isn't done yet. While Gu Qingshan and Duan Cheng continue to argue, Lu Chen moves his hand slightly behind him. The moment I make a move, I want you to run away from here. That's the message he wanted to send to Feng Meifeng. At first, Feng Meifeng looks at Lu Chen with confusion. The way he moves his hand looks like a chicken with its head cut off. Tho it took her a bit, she got the message.

Have you gone mad? Feng Meifeng couldn't understand why Lu Chen was going to make a move against them. It would have been a suicide move for him. She begins to write on his back, what are you going to do? Don't do anything rash. The thugs have weapons. Well, even without them, Feng Meifeng knows Lu Chen would have been murdered from being outnumbered.

Lu Chen continues to keep a straight face. But inside, he felt a sense of warmth for her caring about him.

"Just do as you're told. Don't ever question me again." Gu Qingshan glares at Duan Cheng. Every time he orders his underlings to do anything, Duan Cheng is always the person who contradicts it. If it wasn't for the fact that others like you, I would have kicked a mutt like you out.

Idiot, you still haven't realized the situation we're in. I knew we should have never taken this job. Duan Cheng had been the only person who didn't want to take the job. The rest had been blinded by the amount of cash the butler is giving them. To pay such a large sum of money to cripple a brat is odd. But Duan Cheng couldn't have said anything to them then as it wouldn't have done anything to stop it.

When Duan Cheng looked at his surroundings, trying to find people to support him, none of the other thugs had backed them up. These idiots. When he turned back to Gu Qingshan, he saw him smirking.

"I'm the boss. And you're the henchmen, so listen to my orders like an obedient lackey."

Duan Cheng wanted to sneer at him, but he couldn't. If he did, then his "lackey" would attack him. He looks at four thugs, "Let's go."
