Imagine seeing all your friends and family age and die while you still remain in the same body, the same never changing body for years and years even decades, even a millennium, even forever.
But the one thing that never changed about this mans eternity was the man's rule, never stay attached to anything. He learnt it after his 4th wife died and he watched his 3 beautiful children age and die too, after 40 years he had finally had enough of seeing everything he loved died.
His name he was born with has been lost to time, his names that are known are Garry Harp, Fred Lloyd, Wayne Creed, Frank Hilspitch, Harrison Gourd, Alex Dent, Quentin Young, Oliver Jacobs, Kris Hung, Christopher Marren, Hunter Hewitts, Aaron Cooper, Cedric Chance, Joshua Kaden, John Leaf, Lev Kingston, Mason Lysander, but those are only the known ones.
For countless years this man has been alone and moving until one day a man with a monocle and a top hat offer him a new life, freedom from the curse of being stuck in a world where he has to hide so no one finds out about him and maybe even find out the reason this curse of immortality was put upon him.
The monocle man talked about a world where gifts like these were accepted, he didn’t have to hide, he didn’t have to lose any loved ones because in this world there was a possibility of becoming powerful enough to stop the aging for others or start the aging process for him.
The man only sighed, he had secluded himself in a bunker hundreds of years ago, his lack of a need to eat or drink made sure he didn’t need to interact with others. The man got up from his chair, the and closed his book, the mysterious monocle man had befuddled him on the fact that he got into his air tight bunker but he sighed at the fact the monocle man didn’t get what he truly wanted

The man had never counted how long he had been alive but when he was born he still remembers that his home and his tribes was a cave. The monocle man knew how long he had been alive and it now numbered into the millions, 6 456 735 million years to be exact.
The man had evolved along with the rest of humanity so his appearance was not of a caveman but of an average guy with an average face, short brown hair and deep blue eyes, but his eyes looked wrong though, they looked old, too old for a man who looked 20, even the monocle man could not maintain eye contact with his ancient eyes.
The man walked up to monocle man and said one thing, his true wish was.
“I just want to join my wives, my children, my brother and sisters, my father and mother, I just want to go to where I belong” said the man with a angry tone, he was mad someone took away his ability to die and he was mad he could do nothing against it even with all the knowledge he had. He knew no amount of knives, horns, teeth, guns even bombs would let him die.
The monocle man only smiled, he knew the truth and he was sure deep down the man knew it too.
He didn’t belong anywhere.
“How about this” said the monocle man as he neared towards the mans ear
“If you don’t mind the hiding that’s fine, but whoever said you had a choice in what you want?” the monocle
In the dark room the monocle man’s perfect teeth showed in his perfect smile “My master had you specially made and now you’re going to do as they command, which is to go to this world, I said it nicely and I told you you would have a better life there but do not mistake my tone as me being a damn salesman, I was being nice so suck it up and take it like a man, your name is now Zuriel Ulyssius and you will go to the new world and you must work for my master, all this was going to be explained when you transported but I guess you can be a stubborn, sentimental fool” monocle man said this with an impatient tone.

Zuriel was stunned, before he got to retort monocle man backed away and blackness overtook his vision and now… a new adventure begins, where a man will find new reasons to live.

The Book of Hickory
Now why did Hickory go and punch that Angel? Sure it spooked him, popping up right there at lunch, and yet, it wasn't fear that balled his hand into a fist - Cause wouldn't you? Wouldn't anyone - with a sick Ma at home, Da long dead, buried, all them prayers piling up on bruised knees, unanswered? Hickory was angry, all right. He was fierce, now - cause that Angel didn't show up to give no help, that Angel came by asking for it - with all that power just plain to see, the power to fix the world and all that ails it! And now look what poor Hickory has to do - to save the world? Now how is he supposed to do that when its taking near everything he's got - just to keep them chickens safe, Ma fed, and himself out of trouble - All he wanted was maybe just a dance with May, maybe a bit more, to hold her close? That she's sweet, now, a voice like an angel, but now she's over there lookin at him like he's more than a man. And that's not to say Hickory is bad, not all the time, not ever on purpose - just there are things a man has to - That drinking and fighting ain't wrong just as long as the chores are done proper first, that those parts of life that make it worth living ain't no sin, that loving a lady is proper and Hickory just has so much love to give! And May is special, right, sweet and soft, now she's sophisticated. That she wears her passion like a pearl necklace? That certainly Hickory would notice, naturally - that she's already spoken for, perhaps taken? That ever since Hickory came back, that all she can think about is swallowing - those strange feelings, because it wouldn't do, would it? For a Lady? But certainly she can worship him and still be seen with Weston Covanger? Because Weston needs May, that what happens in the Study is only half the battle, the Men's Business, and he's far too proud to settle for half of anything. That if he wants to move up the ranks of his family, to be more than a Covanger, to become the Covanger? He's going to need a woman in the Kitchen as well - he's going to need May. And if that seems a bit old fashioned? A bit too much like the Wild West? Well the West is starting to get wild again now that everyone starts to Drink. A different take on LitRPG where answers aren't given - they must be earned, discovered and fought for, one at a time. An orator style, a long read, filled with magic buildings, crafting, alchemy, but most of all - This is a story about the human spirit. About understanding what defines a person, their morals, their beliefs, and also faith when everything they understand becomes challenged - changed. So do they. People can change. They will. Just not always for the better, not always - sometimes. Sometimes that's enough. Sometimes that's even everything.
