《Walter of the Apocalypse Book 1 Exile of Valhalla》To fast To thunderous part 2

With every increase of his stats, Walter became slightly more aware of his surroundings. Being stronger, thinking faster, and even his understanding of himself increased with every level. Every part of him was transforming, changing, evolving into a paragon of himself. None of this mattered to him right now, as he chased after his spear focusing only on the now.
He watched his spear as if in slow-motion, impaling itself into the beast's side. The spear causing ripples across its flesh, like slapping jello. Using the momentum of his rush, he grabbed the spear while performing a dropkick. Pushing off of the creature, he flipped off of it ripping his spear out of its flesh, as he landed on the balls of his feet.
The creature yelped in pain from Walter's attack, its flesh sucking tightly against its side near the wound. Walter stabbed out with his spear to widen its injury, the tip of his spear bouncing off as if striking plate armor. Stabbing again at a different spot, his spear sinking in before its flesh hardened around the fresh wound.
The creature swung its head at Walter slowly. It moved as if he was nothing but a pesky mosquito needing to be smacked away. Opening its mouth, rows of razor-sharp teeth lined its maw. Making a coughing sound, a blast rocketed out of its mouth visibly distorting the air.
Ducking quickly out of the way, Walter was pushed back from the airblast's shockwave. Rolling with it, he heard the airblast slamming into a vehicle flipping it through the air. The sound of it crashing back to earth echoing as Walter charged the beast.
Thrusting his spear into the roof of its mouth and twisting, he gouged a painful hole into its palate.
The creature pulling its head back from the painful attack, Walter spear caught in its teeth, and it bit down on the spear. Shaking its head back and forth, it ripped the spear from Walter's grip. Spitting the spear out, it opened its mouth priming a new attack.

Walter dove towards his spear, the airblast slicing a painful wound across his back. Walter landed on his spear and springing to his feet and pirouetted. Using his skill he rocketed past the beast to land at its backside.
Striking with a flurry of blows, he left shallow gashes across the beast's hind leg attempting to hamstring it. Watching as its flesh hardened around the wounds he threw a low kick at it. Small cracks formed on the beast's skin from the power of Walters kick. Armoring its skin made it weak to blunt attacks. The beast's skin suddenly sucked in, Walter could feel the air rushing past him into the beast.
Diving behind a vehicle and taking refuge Walter covered his ears in preparation for the sonic attack. The wide-area attack the beast released felt frailer than the first one. The shockwave pushed Dale's gun out into Walter's line of sight.
Walter used skitter, rushing to the gun, grabbing it.
Spinning around, he braced the gun on his shoulder and fired. The kickback was strong. His aim knocked off, he readjusted and fired again, slowly adjusting to its kick.
Bullets slammed into the beast's side over and over. Its skin, rippling like the surface of a pond during rain. Tiny holes pockmarked its whole body where the bullets struck.
The creature swung its head to face Walter, opening its mouth, it barked. Another blast of distorted rocketed at Walter smashing into the car he was behind. Walter never stopped firing as he aimed at the beast's mouth. Bullets shot into the beast's mouth tearing its insides up.
The airblast came out as a strong gust of wind as the beast began coughing.
Running out of bullets, Walter dropped the gun and charged the beast. Striking with the butt of his spear and feet where ever he saw hardened flesh. Chunks of the beast cracked and fell off.

He kept rushing around the beast attacking all sides of it before ending up in front of its face. His spear stabbing deep into the beast's face, Walter ran up its face. His spear tip still imbedded in the beast, Walter used his skill. Flashing across the beast's back, he dragged the tip of the spear through the length of it. The beast's back fillet open as Walter leaped off.
Landing on the ground in a roll, he spun around to leap on the beast again. It spine left open to the air, Walter stabbed his spear downward in between its vertebrae.
The beast howled in pain as it began jumping and bucking trying to dislodge Walter. It jumped and twisted, but he just held onto the shaft of his spear twisting it deeper into its spine. The beast became weaker until it collapsed. Shallowly breathing, it whimpered as it laid there unmoving.
Walter ripped his spear free, a geyser of black blood spurting out of its spine. Jumping out of the way of the diseased blood, Walter wiped his weapon off on it.
The beast dead now, Walter rushed to Stephanie's unconscious body. Picking her head up, he rested it on his lap as he checked her vitals. Her skin cold and clammy he couldn’t tell if she was breathing but he felt a weak heartbeat. As he pulled his hand back from checking her pulse on her neck, his fingers were cover in blood with rivulets of black weaved through it.
He knew why she was being so strange all of sudden. She was infected by The Darkness and slowly being driven man by the mutation like the doctor. And like the doctor, it was a death sentence for her.
