《The Alien's Retaliation》[Chapter 47 – One crazy fool – part 1]

[Xeno's POV]
I leaped from the roof of a nearby building I was standing by, just to surprise the naive little humans below. As they had almost reached the outline of the 'barrier'.
I have already observed the enhanced human through the way here, I definitely want to use him as a way to test my powers. As I have yet to try them out since my last transformation. Anyway, in case of danger, I should be able to escape thanks to my eye.
As my descent generated a loud crash with the now cracked asphalt, I could already sense the fear I instilled into the presents. Only the human of the Union did preserve his composure, even so he couldn't hide his tingling anxiety from me.
I had already decided that this villa will become the starting point of what will become my own realm. As such, now it is a new possession of mine, and the humans he diligently gathered are now mine as well.
"Alien! Step out of this property, as this territory is now officially part of the Union! By hurting any of the presents here you will be making yourself an enemy of the Great Union Of Planets!"
Nonsense, if in the first place I feared either you or the ones behind you I wouldn't be here now. I have read the rules thanks to No.2345's chip, nobody who's above rank two is permitted to participate at the first challenge of the 'Conquest Game'. With the growth I am expecting to undergo during this whole year, at the end of the challenge I will be but fear for the petty humans of the Union.
Without further ado, I proceeded to form a mental bridge between me and the human.
[Speak, what is the name that you claim to be yours?]
My strident deep voice echoed into the metallic head of the android.
[You can refer to me as Captain Stark. However I believe you don't need my name to turn around and go back to the filthy hole you came from.]
This kind of provocation obviously does not bother me at all. Trying to scare me like that would be counterproductive at best, if I was easy to provoke to begin with. Which I am not. I can't be compared the primitive inhabitants of this planet.

[Everything shall be mine, your body as well as these petty humans and their planet. It is already to late for you.]
Thus I quickly broke the mental bridge between us. A surge of heavy deep purple nano-energy suddenly permeated my body. My tendrils quickly separated from each other, breaking out from their armor like position into a more free-like state. They were brimming with all the colors of the rainbow, shining intensively enough to blind the less mature and vulnerable of the humans.
"AN: he's referring to kids."
I then concentrated even more, accumulating power in a particular area of my forehead. The great amount of energy must have surprised the android, as he had yet to move an inch from the moment I blatantly started the fight.
For an infinitesimal instant, all around me seemed like frozen, almost as if time itself had stopped.
Soon after I felt my only eye opening up, the purple eye scanned everything around me through its white vertical pupil. As if telling me to quickly choose a spot for him to work on. This new organ of mine is piquing my interest the more I make use of it. Maybe Its powers are not limited to close teleportation.Yet I did not have the time necessary to analyze it further.
Suddenly, a particular odor, which I knew quite well, permeated my senses. Blood.
Surprisingly enough I was now standing behind the Android, with my nano-enhanced tail piercing his abdomen. Blood was already staining red his white suit.
I could have already ended this fight by utilizing the surprise effect of this move and directly beheading the enemy. Yet I want this android alive, to study him and understand better the nature of my enemy. Testing my new limits is one of the motives as well.
The android woke up from his paralyzed state, screaming from the feeling of having his flesh pierced. Yet it did not last long, as he quickly calmed down.
The craftiness of this human did not escape my keen senses. I perceived a tiny amount of nano-energy flowing into his index finger, precisely at the height of the only ring he was wearing in his right hand. A small, cylindrical, metallic flask suddenly popped up into his hand, it had what I presumed to be a yellow warning signal printed on its side. Even more noticeably it had a small needle on its bottom.

As obvious as it seemed, he injected the content of the flask directly into his veins.
I felt both the decision behind his act and the fear he was feeling in between doing it. I doubt the aftereffects of the drug will directly kill him, yet I can already imagine the internal damage the android will be supposed to.
I then quickly extracted my bladed tail from the torso of the android and reallocated myself a few meters away from him.
His body started to swell, smoke started to gush out of his still bleeding wound, which quickly healed in a few seconds.
I could sense the definition of his muscles increasing by the moment. The stripes on his face illuminated of a bright red, his veins bulged up, having shades of red as well.
Then the android charged at me, expecting a confrontation of strength between the two of us.
Soon enough our hands crossed, yet I do not fight for honor or anything of the likes but to win. I usually aim to kill my enemy and feast on its flesh.
My fighting style is brutal, not either delicate or meant to spar with another individual. I fight for survival.
However this time I'll have to avoid his vital points, maybe by exhausting all his energies I'll be able to immobilize and capture him. Even If this strategy will probably prove to be quite difficult, since I've just witnessed the insane regeneration he just acquired. Although, at the same time this new power up of his must be taking a toll on his body.
[Narrator's POV]
The android quickly approached Xeno, his speed was not to be trifled with yet through his enhanced senses, the alien understood the intentions of his enemy.
Would it be because of the teachings he received at the military academy, or for all the training spars he did there. But he had decided for a directly confrontation, he wasn't even aware of with tricks the alien could put off his sleeve. Even so he wasn't even sure if his enemy was physically stronger than himself.
He simply understood that now was time to fight. Anyway the effect of the powerful drug he just used would deplete his body's energies over time, until it would simply collapse due to exhaustion.
However, the reaction of the alien didn't comply any school manual or everyday practice he experienced at the academy. The tall silver giant had quickly assumed a quadrupedal position and with extreme rapidity had dodged the frontal confrontation of the enemy.
Successively Xeno proceeded to swiftly attack the now open left side of the android. He quickly spread out his tendrils while quickly analyzing once again the physical structure of the enhanced human.
'His left arm is composed of flesh, while the left leg seems to be made of a hard metal I am not aware of. While hitting his hip with a strong attack might greatly endanger the target'.
Having cleared his thoughts the alien focused the left arm of the enemy as the main target of the attack. Ripping it off would highly incapacitate the human while causing exhaustion due to blood loss.
Thus he proceeded to insert his purple glowing, razor sharp claws right into the arm, while soon after starting to chomp on it with his teeth.
Due to the effect of the drug, any pain Stark was supposed to be inflicted on would be greatly reduced. As such he quickly reacted, or at least tried to.
In fact just seeing the head of the alien leaning over his arm to ravage it, seemed quite the stupid move. Xeno had just seemingly exposed one of his vitals to the enemy. Even more now that due to the rapid regeneration of the android's tissues, it would require some time for him to rip the arm off.
Yet as he tried to rotate his body and counterattack the alien's offensive, captain stark noticed himself to be stuck in place. He could feel all of his muscles in their entirety, but once he expressed his will for his body to move nothing happened. Even better, almost nothing, as he now understood that something was keeping him in place.

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
