“Chirp …… Chirp …tweet ……. tweet …..” chirping of birds could be heard on the dawn of the next day.

The first rays of sunlight strikes fion’s face as he twitched. He slowly got up from his sleep and stretched his body a little to get rid of all the drowsiness. His expression suddenly turned serious as he immediately checked for the soul tear crystal which is in his pocket. He smiled upon realising that it was there. He injected a bit of his Yuan Qi and subsequently, sounds of lamenting could be heard inside the crystal.

He meditated a bit and got down from the tree. At that time, fluttering of leaves could be heard and fion immediately alerted himself. He camouflaged in a nearby tree and kept an eye on the area. On spreading his bacterial sense, he can identity that a martial beast was roaming around the area.

Fion silently approached the beast so as to get a better view of it, but unfortunately he was spotted. A huge roaring shook the entire forest and it stormed towards fion. The surrounding trees and plants crushed under the charge of the beast. Fion jumped back and settled on a tall tree, after which he got a clear view of the beast. It was a huge red eyed rhino, spanning a height of more than 2 metres having a huge horn of nearly 2 feet, crushing whatsoever on it’s path.

It caught sight of Fion and immediately charged towards the tree on which he resided. Fion instantly concentrated his Qi and spread through out his whole body .And before the beast could reach him, his figure blurred as he jumped from the tree and landed on the ground, far away from it. The tree was blown away by it’s tackle and crashed into the nearby trees. The beast shook it’s head to get rid of the dizziness and stared at the distant fion.

“phew, that was close ! it’s speed was really fast … Hmm .. It definitely has to be a lorn beast which was equivalent to an expert in condensation realm, If so, then it can breath fire. I have to be more careful ” Fion cautioned himself.

The red eyed rhino when evolved into a lorn beast would have the attribute of fire developed naturally. It’s in their inherent genes and their bacteria would automatically convert Yuan Qi into fire Elemental Qi. A lorn beast’s fire would be very much hotter and more explosive in nature than the normal fire which one used in household. It was exactly like, how rocks became strengthened very much when Shigi controlled it using his elemental Qi.

The red eyed rhino was looking at fion, a little bit puzzled. It can realise that fion was an entire realm lower than it, yet his speed was very swift. Since this is the first time it came across such a anomaly, it was bewildered. Suddenly, it’s eyes started glowing and it spit out a ball of fire. The red heat ball sped towards Fion, scorching the leaves on the plants and trees, surrounding it.

“Shit ! … even without a warning … that’s not fair ” Fion dodged to his right and the fireball barely missed him. His robes charred a little on it’s edge. The fireball continued it’s path and blasted into a boulder.

“… Boom …” a small explosion took place and a fiery eruption of light and sound sprayed dusty debris into the air. The whole area was greyed out as ashes of burst trees and plants fill the place.

“That .. was a bit powerful ” fion’s line of thought was disrupted by another fireball from the beast. He immediately burst with full power and evaded it. He appeared at another place , bit farther from the beast once again.

He was already irritated by it’s sudden consecutive attacks,so after regaining his stand, he immediately charged towards the rhino. With fion using his full power, his figure looks like a meteor while he bolted. In response to this, the rhino bellowed and dashed towards Fion. It slightly lowered it’s head as to strike fion with it’s horn.

When the two were less than a meter apart, fion sucked dry all of his Yuan Qi in the mitogene cells of his right arm and covered his whole right hand with it. This huge amount of concentration caused a thin layer of Yuan Qi which fluttered like a wave around his arms. He punched with all his might on the horn of the rhino. The impact produced huge sound waves, which shook even the near by area.

Both retreated backwards more or less by an equal amount of distance.

“Ouch … Ouch … that hurts ….” Fion’s hand numbed and he shook his hand to get rid of the pain. If it was a normal mitogene cultivator facing the impact, all the bones in his right hand would be crushed and he would already be dead.

On the opposite side, the red eyed rhino stumbled a bit as it try to stabilise itself. It repeatedly shook its head to clear the giddiness. Suddenly, a slight cracking sound could be heard and the red eyed rhino felt it’s horn began to break apart.

“oooh , it seems i undervalued my strength once again … muahaha … that’s what you get for messing with me ” Fion laughed evilly to his hearts content.

For a rhino, it’s horn was it’s pride and it’s strongest weapon, and so when the red eyed rhino realised that it’s horn was broken, it went on a rampage. It’s red eyes turned dark red and the temperature began to rise around the area. It bellowed in rage and stared at Fion, it’s murderous intent startled him.

“uh-oh , the situation is getting worse … ” fion was on guard and changed his posture into a frontal stance.

It spat out a serious of fireball from it’s mouth and all were moving towards fion. He dared not face these balls directly since each of them contains deadly explosive power and it can easily injure fion heavily. He throttled at full power and began to evade one fireball after another. He moved so fast that only a blur could be seen the entire time, while he dodged the fire balls.

The whole area was filled with fiery eruptions of fire blast and sonic booms. Most of the trees were instantly annihilated and the smell of scorching, filled the atmosphere. It caused a huge wildfire that spread through the near by areas and continued to burn anything in it’s path.

Luckily, Fion already retreated into a far off distance and watched the destruction from a small hill.

“Hmm , it can’t even control it’s fire power properly …. may be it should have evolved recently, because of change in moon light. then … ” his thought was cut off midway as fion’s expression turned ugly

“crap … why didn’t i think of this earlier … Amber mountains were famous for it’s huge concentration of vile beasts. So, going by the analogy that all beasts were mutated and evolved after the apocalypse, then …. ” his voice became fainter “all the vile beats should have mutated into lorn beasts already ! ”

“Suddenly, i feel that this area became much more dangerous … Damn … now where i can find the vile beasts for the nuclei ” fion smacked his fists in the air as he vented out his frustration.

The red eyed rhino finally discovered fion after searching like a crazy dog and immediately charged towards him. It’s speed was significantly decreased and it’s fiery aura became much weaker. Fion naturally took notice of this

“It seems the previous barrage of fireball took a heavy stroll on it’s Qi consumption. d'oh, it’s so immature that it even forgot the basics of Qi control … humph .. i guess it’s only natural from a recently evolved beast ” he reasoned the beasts panting and it’s decrease of power.

“Since it’s like this, let me feel what it’s like to be, killing a lorn beasts ..hehe… ” his mouth curved upwards at the corners into a brilliant smile.

He once again positioned himself into a frontal stance and concentrated all of his Yuan Qi in his right hand as he formed a fist. He circulated his Qi in a spiral manner around his arms and the air surrounding it trembled violently. Layers of gaseous Qi began emanating from his arm and took the form of a dragon snake as it coiled around his arm.

What fion was executing was the second secret martial art of Yu Clan and its’ called ‘ Dragon Fist ‘. Among the two martial arts the Yu clan had, dragon fist was the most difficult to practice, because it requires one’s cell to be very sturdy beyond the limit. Cells would be strengthened only during the plaudit realm and even if one advanced to higher realms, the strength of the cells would remain same, only the amount of Yuan Qi varies.

Since, a cultivator won’t have much Yuan Qi generated during the plaudit realm, naturally their cells won’t be strengthened that much and almost all of the cultivators won’t bother this, since they can always use their Yuan Qi to protect their body. And there are a few martial arts which requires one’s cells to be much more robust, else their cells would rupture when practicing.

For fion whom cells were strengthened to the extent that it could compete with a mitogene realm expert while he was only at the plaudit stage, it would be like a breeze. He also practiced this martial art before he lost his bacterial pool, though it ended with him having ruptured his cells before he finally stopped. So, he has a certain amount of expertise over this technique.

As the transparent Qi spiraled around his arm, the shape of the dragon snake became much stable as it’s head co-aligned with the fist of Fion. Soon, the air began to swirl around him and the land where he stood cracked under the pressure.

The red eyed rhino on sensing that fion was executing a deadly martial art, immediately alarmed. It figured that there is no other way to defend itself other than going all out. It gathered all of his remaining Fire Elemental Qi and concentrated in it’s broken horn. It began to glow and ignite as an intense blaze of fire formed at the tip of it’s broken horn.

Fion waited until the rhino come inside his striking range. Until then, he strengthened his fist as much as possible. As the beast neared the hill on which fion stood, he saw the damage done by the beast along it’s path. It completely crushed and destroyed everything in it’s path, Be it trees or rocks or boulders, it smashed apart everything into smithereens and thrown the whole locality into chaos.

After a moment, Fion’s eyes glowed and he jumped into the air. After rising into the air for a few metres and using the momentum gained by the gravity, he dashed into the direction of the rhino like a meteor descending from the sky onto the ground.
