《Purrge》Chapter #15 Heist!

Ciara Citadel City, Eisenhiem Kingdom
The giantess was walking along the curved road that lead to a large farm, the cat was following the giantess on a whim. He was constantly meowing on the road thinking that the giantess was carefully listening to what he was trying to tell her, but it was not the case… due to the reason that the giantess was too simple and she was thinking this cat’s meowing as a normal cat that was simply meowing because he was happy.
“MAW….MEOW….MAW…MAW…MEOWWWW!” the cat was meowed pleasantly, while the giantess listened to his meows as she walked.
“I don’t know why you are following me Mr. Kitty…” the giantess spoke to the cat, which was still meowing merrily.
“MEOOOWW!” the cat replied.
“Don’t you have anywhere to go?” the giantess asked the cat in an innocent voice.
“MEOW…” the cat replied.
“I don’t understand what you are trying to say…” she replied anxiously.
“By the way… I am Elisa… and I’ll call you Mr. Kitty… is that okay with you?”
“Maw.” The cat replied in a dull tone that reflected his enthusiasm after getting a new name… he was called by many names before, so he accepted his new name easily.
“Okay Mr. Kitty… erm…
She was barely able to keep up the conversation between her and the talkative cat… watching this; the cat stopped meowing and went into silent. He came to understand that she and the other people here weren’t the same as the guy named ‘Alan’, who had earlier saved him from drowning in the freezing water, only Alan was able to perfectly understand what he was trying to say.
“Hey! You don’t need to get angry… you know, I didn’t had a cat as a pet before… So, I don’t know how you feel!” the giantess replied as she scratched her head while walking towards the farm.
“But don’t worry… I will take care of you…” she spoke as she smiled at the cat that was walking beside her.
“Maw!” the cat wanted to tell the giantess that he could take care of himself; and he did it too but in cat language and gestures, but the clueless giantess couldn’t comprehend it. She just kept walking without understanding a single word, while simply smiling as a reply…
“Here we are… welcome to my home…” the giantess spoke excitedly as she pointed out a big barn adjacent to a farmer’s cottage.

The barn was a little smaller than an average sized barn. There was a large wooden gate big enough for the giantess to step in and out easily without bending her back. Haystacks were neatly arranged near the entrance. There were tools hanging on the wooden walls, there were also some jute sacks filled with fertilizers and cattle feed. Everything lying there was neatly and properly arranged.
The giantess moved further into the barn and stood in front of a wooden wall that was meant as a partition that separated the large compartment inside from the rest of the barn. She unlocked a large wooden door that was locked and went inside, while the cat peeped from the entrance.
“Welcome to my room!” she squeaked as she led the cat inside.
The room was neat and tidy as expected of a girl’s room… there was a bed made out of haystacks having a clean white sheet of cloth spread on top of it that made it appealing to the cat. There was also a big old table, on top of which stood a white ceramic vase filled with flowers and a big lamp. There was also a large wooden chair that was big enough to let her sit comfortably in it and a big wooden trunk that wasn’t locked. A lantern was hanging from the center of ceiling and was illuminating the whole room.
“You can rest where you like!” Elisa smiled as she spoke to the cat, which was still standing behind the door.
“Maw!” the cat replied as he entered the room and jumped up on the neat and clean hay bed, while the giantess changed her clothes.
“Oh! I forgot to close the door!” Elisa panicked as she saw the door wide open while she was half undressed.
“Maw…” the cat, who was about to curl down to rest, suddenly got up went behind the open door; he then pushed the door and closed it. After he had closed the door, he jumped over the wooden wall’s large grille that was meant to be a ventilator and landed right onto the bed.
*BOOF!*
“Wow! You are so smart Mr. Kitty…” the shocked giantess gasped as she stood still.
*PAT**PAT**PAT*
“Meow!” the cat meowed happily as he got he got patted for his work.
“I’m exhausted by today’s overtime after the work… thanks to the tuna that I ate in the bazaar; I don’t feel like eating lunch now…let’s take a nap … I hope that the old man doesn’t get angry!” Elisa spoke as she gently lied down on the bed, next to the cat and soon slept out of exhaustion.

“Rumble…Rumble…” the cat’s stomach rumbled. He was feeling hungry even after he ate half of the tuna that was given to him by the giantess…
He stood up as he thought about snooping around as to find something that he could eat.
He gently jumped at the large grille and landed on the other side. He then looked here and there as to find something that he could eat, but was disappointed to find nothing. He then came out of the barn and sniffed the air as he caught smell of chickens coming from a coop! He slowly approached the coop to find that it was locked too! He came close and took a peek from a narrow vertical slit and saw no hens inside it!
Angered beyond measure he then looked around the farm only to find a cow and a horse, which were tied to a wooden pole, near the farmer’s cottage. He stealthily passed towards the open window but the horse noticed him and neighed loudly.
*NGHGHGHGH*
“What’s the matter gusto? Why are you neighing?” an old man spoke as he appeared in front of the window.
*HISSSSSSSS*
“Oh! If it isn’t Mr. Kitty! What are you doing there my friend come in!” the old man called the cat by a gesture of his hand.
“Meow!” the cat gladly meowed and jumped inside the house, on an empty table, through the open window.
He then followed the old man, who went near a big pot that was hanging on a fireplace and watched the old man taking out some stew in a wooden plate. He then placed it in front of the cat.
*SNIFF**SNIFF*
The gentle aroma of the vegetable stew seeped inside the cat’s nose urging him to taste it.
“Ha Ha Ha! This is all that we have for us little fella! I hope that you like it!” the old man spoke to the cat in a merry tone.
*LICK…**LICK…**LICK**LICK**GLUG*
The hungry cat greedily drank the vegetable stew that the old man gave him.
“Meoow!” the cat thanked the old man in cat language
“Ha Ha Ha! It seems that you like it!” the old man laughed.
“Maw!” the cat meowed as he stood up, walked out of the open door and left the old man’s cottage as if he was saying “see you later”.
“Do come back again later…little friend!” the old man yelled happily.
Lately the old man was feeling alone… even though he lived with Elisa whom he treated as his own daughter.
Elisa was the daughter of a friend, who had saved both of his; and his now deceased wife’s life seven years ago… when they were travelling back to home to Eisenhiem Kingdom from Pagmas Empire, which was being attacked by the demon forces at that time. They all fled together with little Elisa who was 11 years old and 5 ft. 6 inches tall at that time. Her father later died in the war, leaving her with the old farmer and his wife, who took care of her. She was a shy girl, who rarely talked to anyone, in spite of the fact that she helped everyone in all the ways that she could.
After the death of his wife, Elisa joined the city guards to help the old man; she paid the rent for the house and the cost of her meals even after the old man denied accepting it. Soon after she started working as a city guard… she began to separate herself more and more from the old man.
There was also a man that the old man didn’t wanted to think about… he was hooligan named Amrok . He constantly pestered Elisa every time she went out; he even dared to set foot inside the old man’s farm and tried to harm her! And that worried the old man so much that he now started to sleep in the barn!
“If only all these fields could go green… again! Then she wouldn’t have to go out to work.” The old man sighed.
Meanwhile the cat came back to the bazaar, because he thought about eating some delicious tuna… he had memorized the route from the farm to the bazaar while he was talking to the giantess, if in case he had a craving for tuna.
He again went to the fish shop and stood in front if the shopkeeper, this time he directly looked at the angry shopkeeper and said… “Maw!” (Hand over all the tuna you have, if you don’t want to die!)

Dominion Expansion (a 4X LitRPG)
Clay is one of the world's top players of 4X games, a genre where the goal is to eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate. He's also one of the only players in the world to so stubbornly stick to the one city strategy, a favorite tactic of his that involves only ever using a single city or planet depending on the game's setting. All that matters to him is winning with his favorite strategy, but earning the respect of his fellow players for taking a sub-optimal strategy to its highest level has always been a nice bonus. And now it is because of his skill and entertaining determination that he has been chosen to represent a higher realm in a strategy game where the fate of Earth and dozens of other worlds are at stake. To the victor goes the spoils, and the spoils include entire worlds and billions of lives. That's how he ends up representing the ascended realm of Hell in a grand "game" between an entire pantheon of godly beings and other higher powers. But while it may just be a game to those overseeing it, it is a genuine war for survival to those participating in it where billions of real lives will go to the victor of whoever wins, and many will die before the game is over. Quick Author's Notes: System inspired by Civilization, Endless Legend, Stellaris, and Crusader Kings 2. Combat mechanics inspired by the Total War series. Slow-paced with many long-term plans. Protagonist has a personality heavily inspired by Ron Swanson. Know who that is and love him? You should like Clay. Know who Ron Swanson is and hate him? You'll probably hate Clay. Planning on writing every single day (turn). Days with important things happening will have the system/game mechanics be the priority of the chapter. Days where there isn't really anything important happening will be more slice-of-life and focused on character interactions. Designed a dice-based randomized map generator to create the world as the story goes on, so I don't even know myself exactly what's going to happen as a lot is dependent on world generation. Tech tree with hundreds of technologies already designed. There is a "harem," but it's not the main focus, the girls won't be cardboard cutouts, and I'm not going to completely forget about any previous women in the relationship whenever a new one comes along. One last thing. The "game" starts off with primitive technology level. The current plan is for the "endgame" tech level to be equivilent to WW2-era technology. After that and war just gets boring until you end up in space. Cover is temporary and made from royalty-free stock images while waiting for the real cover's commission to finish.
