"The hell? Where am I?"
[System reboot]

[I'm your land survival system, you are the owner of this new frogezoid body]
[Feed me points, and I'll show you the secrets of survival with the aid of body upgrades]
"Hmmm... well this is interesting."
...
[First main task = Locate and claim the flaming crown]
[Once you complete this task, you will be rewarded with one-thousand-and-seven-hundred system points]
[The crown itself holds enough power, to strengthen your chances of survival in this cruel world. Make it a top priority to seek and obtain this item!]
Steve tried his best to comprehend this whole situation, but he was utterly incapable of doing so.
Because first things first, he was absolutely certain that he had died just moments ago. It was a cozy scene so to say, since he had simply died due to old age.
Apart from that, he had all of his family around so it wasn't a death that he would hold a grudge towards.
However, this scene was confusing because when this good man pictured heaven, he had never imagined a bunch of hairy frog heads!
At the first few seconds, his vision was blurry so this place appeared more like a lush and green field.
He was swift to understand right now, that such a prediction had been utterly wrong! Because the details of green did not come from any herbs or trees; it came from countless tall frogs, who were walking up and down a stone encrusted street.
As he slightly tried to gaze upwards, Steve noticed this stone street was surrounded by countless houses who shared the same material and colour; it wasn't too fascinating, but it aided to guess that he was in some sort of old city.
However he did not want to pay too much attention towards anything that was around him. Because apart from the weird frog-men and women, there wasn't anything too interesting about this place.

That and while Steve tried to comprehend why exactly he was here, it became inevitable to remember something from his past life. This detail could help make sense of this situation, and took most of his attention as a hostage.
He had heard about elderlies facing countless illusions in their final hours. So he came to a decision that this scene was one of them, that was why calmness had swiftly enveloped his heart right after.
Maybe this good man hasn't exactly died yet, and perhaps the gift of death was only just a few moments away?
He tried to think of this situation as so ~ but what barged in as quite contradictory to such belief, was the grand detail that came along with this so labelled illusion. Everything just seemed far too real!
For example, he raised an arm and witnessed an impeccable bodily design!
His hands just had four fingers, and were covered with different shades of green. Steve's knuckles had a dotting darker shade, while the rest of his palm continued to be lighter in colour, the further away they were from the knuckles.
This grand detail felt quite strange, but he wasn't exactly under any sort of panick - because he stubbornly stuck to the idea that salvation was near, even after acknowledging such massive details.
But that was when that same strange and dominant voice, had managed to rupture Steve's sense of peace, by bashing its own words in once more.
This voice in his noggin, sounded female and carried quite a bit of emotion upon every spoken word. Everything she said, almost felt like a scold, even though the topic didn't always surround such a matter.
[Steve, you aren't dreaming and this is not an illusion]
[You're in the ancient country of Firestone,]
[And the planet that this country is based on, is hidden in one of the less valuable galactic dimensions]
After hearing out such bits of information, he had it quite difficult to catch up because he was not ready to hear any of those facts!

He had a bunch of questions to ask, but couldn't quite build up a stable sentence whatsoever. So silence seemed like the best option, this situation had to be pondered over a bit longer.
The good man had decided to remain silent, but the voice in his head directly refused to stay idle. Because it simply continued to speak out what she had to say.
[As I said before, I am your land survival system and you are binded with me now, forever]
[Would you like to hear a bit of information, regarding what primary capabilities you can upgrade, with my help?]
After hearing out such a question, with a bit of effort he began crawling towards one of the stone road's sides.
Simply because it was a better place to listen to this system without being interrupted. And since there weren't any visual portions to focus on from the system's side, he had to put in extra efforts in order to pay the most attention.
It also proved a tad difficult for Steve to use his own legs right now, so he had taken a bit of time to crawl across the stone-encrusted path. It took a bit of time, but felt worthwhile so to say. However, he was finally ready to thoroughly listen.
That was why he could follow along with the conversation, "Tell me about the upgrades you just mentioned."
[Confirmed]
[With my help, you can eventually upgrade the following primary capabilities. Note that your levels on each ability will also be described at the same time...]
[Bodily strength = level-one]
[Speed = level-one]
[Jaws = level-two]
[Bodily durability = level-one]
[Sniffing senses = level-one]
[Sight senses = level-three]
[Sex appeal = level-zero]
Although a positive attitude was something that Steve embraced, sometimes even up to a delusional pace, he could sense that these capabilities weren't anything to be crazy about.
And he wasn't even focusing on the low levels right now, "It looks like the list of my capabilities is short, are there other stuff to upgrade?"
He tried to maintain a positive point of view, and right now he needed motivation to maintain that pace of thinking; especially since he became almost absolutely sure, that everything about this place was not an illusion.
[Oh these are only the primary capabilities,] The system was swift to answer.
And then continued, [You also have other lists of abilities to upgrade, such as: secondary capabilities, various types of intelligences and the arcane arts]
[I can assure you that these lists of upgrades will seem much bigger, once you actually start to buy them]
After that point he became fairly convinced that this world was real, especially since the system was quite detail-oriented in the conversation. A dream or illusion wouldn't be so impeccable.
What he understood the most through the vocal-system's world introduction: was that survival in this new world, was heavily dependent on what the system could provide.
And although most of his head was filled with confusion, the frogezoid could still remember a couple of key informational bits from the very beginning; system points can help buy these upgrades, and such a currency can be achieved if he found some weird crown.
At this point, Steve had quite enough motivation to stand up and look for that same crown; it could not be found if he stood still here, that fact was understood quite well.
So the good man used those legs to try and stand up, but instantly fell on his face!
Apparently these legs had inverted knees in comparison to what humans had, which easily explained the result; this instant fail was thanks to the lack of familiarity.

Build a Dungeon. Slay Heroes. Survive Finals. Wounded Army vet Logan Murray thought mimics were the stuff of board games and dungeon manuals… right up until one ate him. Heroes who would destroy the universe if it meant a shot at advancement. Unfortunately, as a bottom-tier cultivator with a laughably weak core, Logan’s dungeon options aren’t exactly stellar, and he finds himself reincarnated as a lowly fungaloid, a three-foot-tall mass of spongy mushroom with fewer skills than a typical sewer rat. If he’s going to survive the grueling challenges the academy has in store, he’ll need to ace the odd assortment of classes—Fiendish Fabrication, Dungeon Feng Shui, the Ethics of Murder 101—and learn how to turn his unusual guardian form into an asset instead of a liability. And that’s only if the gargoyle professor doesn’t demote him to a doomed wandering monster first…
