《Incoming Chaos on the Immortal World》Chapter 20 - Not a Beauty but a Beast?!

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH”
The scream startled all the people around Tethra. Tethra opened his eyes abruptly and sat up. He had cold sweats pouring all over his body. People around Tethra looked curiously at him. Why did this kid suddenly screamed like that?
“I just had a nightmare! I dreamed I was being surrounded by women everywhere”
This kid said it was a nightmare? It was clearly a wet dream! They resented Tethra for showing off. Just as they were about to retort harmoniously, Tethra continued his story.
“... but they all have a bulge in their pants!”
All the men there shivered after hearing that. That’s clearly a nightmare! A nightmare that would even wound your soul. They felt relieved they didn’t retort before, rather they now pitied Tethra. Tethra, as unobservant as he was, wouldn’t notice the pitying gazes. He just looked around to observe the place he was in. The walls and ceilings were filled with Runic characters. There was also no furniture, nothing at all, just plain building. Other than that, there was no noticeable object that caught his vision. Seeing the Runic characters all around him, Tethra knew where he was in. The people around him were also the people he knew from the Rune Faculty. Because earlier he still hadn’t sobered yet, he didn’t notice them. Tethra tilted his head, why did he suddenly woke up here?
Ah yes! That senior beat and knocked him unconscious. Luckily, that man didn’t kill him and kept to his words, else he wouldn’t be able to meet the others again. After Tethra realized this, he felt very powerless. He should spend time practicing martial arts before fighting again, else it would be very dangerous, like the proverb: “Practice makes perfect”. The memory in his head needed to be digested properly before he could master it. Tethra eagerly looked at the martial arts memory after determining his next goal. There were still many unsealed martial arts memories that he still hadn’t used yet when he was fighting. Scanning his memory repeatedly, Tethra became more engrossed in researching martial arts that he didn’t notice Elder Pan entering the building.
Elder Pan had just run here hurriedly after hearing Tethra woke up. Elder Pan looked directly at Tethra that was murmuring something silently. Seeing the state Tethra was in, Elder Pan directly left the building without saying any word to disturb Tethra. Just as Elder Pan was about to exit the building, Elder Pan stopped and qi-messaged all people of Rune Faculty.
“Don’t disturb him for now”
The Runists and Runemasters all nodded and continued their Runic Works research. Tethra was still immersed in his memory. He contemplated the moves he scanned inside his memory. There were many moves, but it was actually still not the whole martial art set his grandpa had given him. There were some missing parts here and there. If he could open the rest of the martial arts memory, he could inherit his grandfather’s full teaching! From what he had learned, the martial art set he received from his grandpa was very versatile. It had palm skills, punch skills, and even footwork. Tethra stood up and went outside at once to practice. The other Runists and Runemasters noticed him, but because Elder Pan told them before to ignore Tethra, they just let him be.

Tethra exited the building and saw the morning sun rising. When he went out of that eerie hall from the tree, it was already afternoon. He deducted the time for battle and felt that he was unconscious for a whole night. Even though the battle was fierce and that senior even knocked him out in the end, Tethra was already unconcerned about it. That senior didn’t kill him, so he might only be there for a friendly spar. When he met that senior again later, he would thank him for the guidance and defeat him right after. That is if he managed to learn some new moves from the martial art memory before he met that senior again.
“Speak of the devil....” Chaos mentioned the phrase in Tethra’s mind. Feeling confused, Tethra was about to ask what Chaos meant when a hand suddenly clamped his right shoulder. This situation felt familiar to Tethra, but now, the sight of the person that greeted him wasn’t a beauty, rather a robust fierce man. He just woke up, now this person want to duel again??!! Give him some time to practice first!!!
Luckily for Tethra, Xiong Ba didn’t come to battle him.
“Hey, do you want to join me for amission? There’s something amiss in the forest near the Capital”
“Mission?”
“Yea, everybody here has to at least go out to do mission once every month after their 1-year free time is up”
“But, I just came here yesterday?”
“Don’t worry, I felt that your skills are better than most of the top ranked inner disciple, so it’s not a problem! Now let’s go!” Without even being able to refuse, Tethra was pulled to a direction. Fortunately, Senior Xiong agreed to walk slowly to let Tethra enjoy the sight because he hadn’t had the chance to enjoy it before. Flowers bloomed, grass grew healthily, there were even some flying bugs. From those signs, Tethra guessed that it was Spring season. While walking, Tethra finally had the chance to ask this senior name.
“So, senior, who are you?”
“Ahaha, how forgetful of me! Where is my manner! I am Xiong Ba, a core disciple of the sect! I like fishing because fishermen are reel men!” Xiong Ba answered while imitating a reeling fisherman.
‘I didn’t ask your hobby..’ Tethra sweatdropped after hearing Xiong Ba introduction, oblivious to Xiong Ba’s effort of making a pun. They continued walking until Xiong Ba broke the silence.
“So, who are you?” Tethra almost fell because of Xiong Ba. This senior actually attacked someone he didn’t know out of nowhere??!!!
Tethra just answered simply, “I am Tethra,” and directly asked their mission, “so Senior Xiong, what is the mission that we are about to do?”

“Like what I said earlier, there was something amiss in the forest near the Capital. We are going to investigate and kill the perpetrators that have been eating cleanly many groups of passing caravan near that forest lately”
“No one is spared?! It must be monsters... As expected of those beasts...” Tethra felt more determined to kill those monsters. Even though at first he was feeling apprehensive about killing in general, but he already firmed his mind to kill monsters. Their existence are dangerous for humans!
“But the latest attack was strange, when the monster group attacked a circus caravan, the clowns were the only one that didn’t get eaten!”
“Huh? Why? The clowns conspired with the monsters? No, no, it didn’t seem like it...” Tethra mumbled thinking about it. The clowns might have some secret way to deter those monsters, he must ask them later.
“Of course, that’s because they taste funny!”
*cricket sounds*
Tethra didn’t hear Xiong Ba talking after he got absorbed in his thinking. As an unobservant man, when Tethra was immersed like that, there was no way he would care about boring talks. Xiong Ba finally suffered defeat under the hand of Tethra, not only in terms of face, but in terms of speechless-making too! Feeling that he finally met his nemesis for the first time, Xiong Ba shut his mouth up in defeat. They just continued to walk until they reached a building.
When Tethra raised his gaze, light blinded him for a moment from the sunlight that was reflected by the building. The building was very metallic. This was one of the most advanced building Tethra ever seen since he came here. The building was square-shaped with dark silver color. The silver color of the walls was actually reinforced steels. The reinforced steels were also strange, Tethra didn’t know what was strange about them, so he concluded that it was some kind of advanced technology. In front of the building, there were also automated sliding doors. Looking up, he could see big satellites constantly moving hovering on top of the building. Tethra was startled because he felt traces of electromagnetic waves from inside the building when they reached the doors.
‘Electromagnetic? The feeling was the same as the feeling at the branch sect...’ Even though he was not wholly conscious at that time, he still could feel the air around him.
After they entered, Tethra finally could clearly feel the enormous electromagnetic waves. Luckily the waves weren’t irritating, they were gentle, so that was why no one noticed it. Observing the place, Tethra noticed there wasn’t a soul here, maybe because of the electromagnetic waves. While doing that, he also noticed the teleporters. The teleporters weren’t hidden very deeply or something like that, instead, they were placed right in front of the doors for easy use. Other than that, there was nothing. This building was also simple like Rune Faculty, but this building was hundred times cooler and more advanced.
“Come here Tethra, let’s go there quickly!” Xiong Ba pulled Tethra to a teleporter. Right after they stood on top of the teleporter, Xiong Ba started playing with some kind of virtual 3D map. Xiong Ba held a blunt arrow in his hand and pointed it at a city. Tethra curiously looked but failed to see the direction of the blunt arrow.
“It is pointless to tell you now. Let’s just go quickly!” The teleporter buzzed a little, then it started to summon runic words at a faster speed than the identification card teleport function. Tethra was curious about the Capital, so he directly asked the one who had already gone there.
“Senior Xiong, is the Capital cool? It must be more advanced than Ravine City, right??” Eagerly asking a question, Tethra didn’t see the strange look on Xiong Ba’s face.
“Err...” Just as Xiong Ba wanted to say something to Tethra, the runic circle finished and teleported them.
A Blinding light appeared suddenly on a barren ground. Tethra and Xiong Ba materialized right after the light disappeared. Tethra looked at his front and saw a cowboy-like place. With barren lands and wooden buildings, it obviously looked very outdated. Even though it was a very big city, with its wide even larger than Ravine City, the buildings inside couldn’t be compared to the buildings in Ravine City. They were far too behind from the current technology!
“Uhh... Welcome to the Capital City, Serbian!” Xiong Ba spread his arms wide to Tethra while maintaining proud expression. Even that acting failed because Xiong Ba sported a wry smile on his face. Alternating his vision between Xiong Ba and the Capital, Tethra felt like he got his expectations crushed instantly.
“Their technology is even more outdated than the pre-flood earth???!!!!”
