《Overlord in Cultivation》77. Color Stone

There were several secret treasure houses in the treasury.
And each of them needed a special key to open. These were important treasure houses where Huaxia College stored the resources, whose keys were kept by several stewards. Even Tao Jiangrong couldn’t open these treasure houses without other keys.
Soon, Elder Liang opened the secret treasure houses and said, “Go and choose your own treasures. Don’t waste much time.”
The Fatty looked cheerful, and he had been yearning for primordial treasures for a long time. The weapon refiners in Huaxia Alliance only could refine some low-grade treasures, and the powerful treasures in Huaxia Alliance were all from ancient relics.
Su Yan went into this solid secret chamber with all kinds of treasures on the shelves.
“About two hundred treasures.”
Su Yan gazed around surprisingly, and divine light gushed out from some of the powerful treasures, and it seemed that strong power could erupt at any time.
Su Yan picked up a Dragon Tattooed Sword and penetrated the sword with his breath. In a flash, the sword revived and emitted bursts of brilliant light, and seemed to be able split the sky easily.
“Su Yan, look at this treasure. It must be a supreme magical weapon.”
The Fatty was excited with a heavy Bronze Broadsword in his chubby hand. The Bronze Broadsword became more formidable, driven by the Fatty, and divine power seemed to erupt from it faintly. Su Yan found that the Bronze Broadsword seemed to be psychic and became more and more powerful with Fatty’s strength!
Su Yan was shocked, “Supreme magical weapon?”
“Generally speaking, super weapons are regarded as magical weapons. Most of weapon refiners in Huaxia Alliance only could refine some low-grade treasures. Above the low-grade magical weapons are the middle-grade ones, and the one held by Tao Jiangrong, the old bastard, just now, should be a high-grade magical weapon.”
The Fatty was excited, “The supreme magical weapons are so powerful that the top beast kings are scared. There are about ten treasures which belong to the supreme magical weapons here. So they are really precious!”
“Ha-ha, this broadsword is good and needs 280,000 Contributing Points. The Contributing Points I have saved for more than a year, plus the battle awards in Base No.9, are barely enough to exchange for it.”
More than 200,000 Contributing Points was a lot for the Fatty, and after all, he had entered the sixth level of Destiny Spring Realm a year ago, and now he was in the seventh level.
“Don’t hurry.”
Su Yan smiled, “What’s above the magical weapon?”
“It’s the legendary weapon!”
Hearing that, the Fatty said with bright eyes, “Legendary weapons are deadly awesome, and there are no more than one hundred ones in our Huaxia Alliance. Legend has it that the Heaven-suppressing Bell of the dean is the most powerful legendary weapon.”
“The legendary weapons excavated from ancient ruins are powerful for the divine tattoos which were engraved by the ancient masters in order to make the weapons burst out great strength at a critical moment!”
Su Yan was astonished. He wondered what grade of treasure the Training Pagoda was. He had a feeling that it was more powerful than the Heaven-suppressing Bell!

“The most formidable war resources in Huaxia Alliance now are the magical weapons and the legendary weapons!”
Su Yan squinted, went straight towards a door inside this secret chamber, and pushed it!
The Fatty was so covetous that he put the Bronze Broadsword down hastily and followed Su Yan.
The door was so heavy that Su Yan used all his power to push it!
Depressing aura pervaded the secret chamber, as if fierce beasts were hiding in it, which made both Su Yan and the Fatty feel nervous!
“Look! Su Yan, legendary weapons!”
The Fatty lost control, and his eyes were sparkling with excitement. There were only three treasures in this room. The first one was a golden tripod with a vivid golden crow pattern carved on its surface. Once the power of the tripod burst out, the golden crow would display magical martial arts in an instant!
Su Yan clenched his fists. This was the Golden-crow Tripod, which Jiang Wuhen wanted so badly.
The second one was special. It was a mirror named Violet Mirror enveloped in dazzling violet light. It was worth 800,000 Contributing Points. It was said that once the Violet Mirror emitted a violet light, the beast king couldn’t resist the power. But it required at least the ninth level of Destiny Spring Realm to drive it.
Su Yan was excited when he saw the third weapon. It was a black rod with metallic luster. It seemed to be made of black iron, containing suffocating aura.
Su Yan’s eyes shrank. The rod looked very heavy!
The Fatty reached out his hand, trying to hold the rod up. But he found it was too heavy for him to wave it.
“Let me try!”
Su Yan came over. He lifted the rod up. The strength of the rod made him feel shocked.
It was even laborious for Su Yan to lift the rod up with his power!
The Fatty was stupefied. How strong was Su Yan?
“Su Yan, why don’t you choose the Golden-crow Tripod? You have enough Contributing Points to get it. The Golden-crow Tripod is the most powerful among the three weapons. It’s no doubt that Jiang Wuhen will choose Golden-crow Tripod. Do not let him benefit!”
The Fatty said hastily, “Look at the introduction of this iron rod. It has great power, but it is just a supreme magical weapon. It is here just because of its tremendous power.”
The Iron Rod was only worth 390,000 Contributing Points which was not comparable to that of the Golden-crow Tripod.
“Although I want the Golden-crow Tripod, I also want to buy some other things. One million Contributing Points? It’s impossible for Jiang Wuhen to have so many Contributing Points.” Su Yan shook his head, hesitated for a while and said, “I prefer rod-shaped weapons. Besides, everyone can only choose one weapon here!”
Su Yan knew clearly that it was difficult for him by his Destiny Spring to wield the Golden-crow Tripod.
His body was more beneficial in close combat. Once he used the Iron Rod, the power would be awesome.
Furthermore, the Dragon Totem was guiding Su Yan. Though it was not very hot, Su Yan felt that the Iron Rod was not that simple.

Fatty said casually, “It’s up to you. As for me, the Bronze Broadsword is good…”
Su Yan interrupted the Fatty and said, “Take it easy, man. Let’s go to other treasure houses and find whether there is any other good stuff or not.”
Su Yan and the Fatty entered the second treasure house. They saw many sorts of treasures and some weapons, most of which were refined by the modern people.
“Emm?”
Su Yan’s eyes shrunk out of shock. It was the Dragon Totem that was leading him with even three different temperatures flashing. One of them was extremely hot, and almost scalded Su Yan’s arm.
Su Yan felt astounded and controlled his joy. Definitely, there was a valuable treasure inside, and it was hard to imagine its value.
After all, it was the first time the Dragon Totem burst into such a flaming heat. How rare the treasure could be?
Su Yan took a deep breath and glanced around. The Dragon Totem guided Su Yan to the first treasure which was a huge mace with metallic light.
“Have you found anything different about this mace, Fatty?” Su Yan asked.
The Fatty stared at the mace for a while, shaking his head, “No, not yet. What’s wrong?”
Su Yan’s frontal bone shone. His soul awakened, emitting golden lights.
The Fatty was shocked that Su Yan’s spirit was so strong, and Su might have awoken his soul.
Su Yan used his soul to see through the mace’s surface and into its innermost core.
“Motherfucker!” Su Yan’s face twitched out of shock. After a moment of speechlessness, he continued, “I don’t know who the fuck refined this weapon. But now we can take the benefit from it.”
“You can choose this. There is something special inside, Fatty.”
“A lithoid mace is sealed inside. Obviously, the weapon refiner didn’t know how powerful this lithoid mace is when he was refining this weapon. He only brushed a coat of mineral liquid onto its surface. Though it is a good counterfeit skill, I still can see through it,” Su laughed.
“A lithoid mace?” Fatty scratched his head. After looking at the price, he said determinedly, “Okay. I will take it. I am looking forward to seeing how powerful the sealed weapon can be. I can replace it for something better if it sucks.”
Su Yan just smiled, without saying any words. The lithoid mace was absolutely more precious than the Bronze Broadsword.
Su continued walking into the deep of this house.
There were still many good things inside the treasure house. It was hard to select an unsung treasure from these objects. However, with the help of the Dragon Totem, Su Yan found the second treasure soon.
The Fatty looked at these old stones with great interest and said, “Su Yan, these are raw stones. A lot of bold students bet on them. Would you like to have a try? It’s cheap! Perhaps you can dig out a top-grade jade. In the past, someone dug out a rare ore and sold it at a high price!”
Su Yan grabbed an ugly and pitted old stone.
When the Fatty saw it, he was speechless, “It looks so bad! You’d better choose the gold one. Maybe you could find something useful in it.”
After a while, he continued, “Just take a bet and randomly choose one. This one is so expensive. It is not worth the price.”
“Well. You are right,” said Su Yan nodding slightly in approval.
Su Yan continued to wander in the treasure house. The treasure, which let the Dragon Totem send out extremely high temperature, was in the deepest part of this treasure house.
Soon, Su Yan found lots of colorful small stones.
“It’s Color Stone! A kind of rare ore!”
There were hundreds of Color Stones. Not big. The Dragon Totem guided Su Yan to a small one which was about the size of a glass marble.
“Got you!”
Su Yan was surprised but joyful. He wondered what the Color Stone was indeed for it could let the Dragon Totem burst out such a terrible heat!
The Fatty was afraid to spend more money and feared that the treasure in the mace would be too weak.
When they got out of the treasure house, Elder Liang was already waiting at the door. He took out a bag and handed it to Su Yan. Inside the bag, there were a hundred and fifty Essence Stones and a pot of Primordial Blood worth 100,000 Contributing Points!
“Elder Liang! I want a Soul Elixir!”
“What?” Elder Liang was shocked. It was a top third-grade pill, the most precious pill in the college! Even Liu Chengtian, deputy dean of the college, could just refine one or two per year.
Besides, it was extremely valuable! 500,000 Contributing Points each!
But the Soul Elixir only worked for soul. And Elder Liang was quite surprised that Su Yan had awakened his soul!
There were only a few cultivators who could awake their souls in Huaxia College. Even some cultivators in the ninth-level of Destiny Spring Realm couldn’t awake their souls!
Elder Liang didn’t ask more. Things Su Yan picked this time almost cost a million Contributing Points.
Elder Liang brought the Soul Elixir quickly, and he said to Su Yan, “At present, the large-scale war hasn’t started in Base No.9. But Yu Yiling said that there will be one in a month. You should go there at that time to avoid being gossiped. After all, you are the disciple of the martial lord!”
“I see. Yu Yiling will go there, too. When the time comes, I will go together with them!”
Su Yan nodded. Now, the war in Base No.9 was not intense. Overmatches like Xia Ze were in the closed-door cultivation, so did those demon lords.
As for Zu Yan, he became much stronger after this mutation of the earth!
However, Zu Yan didn’t immediately get in the closed-door cultivation because he had something more important to do. Looking over the nine huge mountains with eagerness in eyes, he found the potential of them would burst out soon!

Pawns of God
Five Lines PitchJoin Mark in his fight against a God and change the game's destiny! Delve into a slow-paced story focused on the progression of the main party and the development of the world. Mark himself will be narrating his life inside the game, and to a much lesser extend outside. Guild building, economy, and strategy are the central pieces of the novel. Mark is not overpowered, he will have to build his own power through action-packed battles, trials, traumas, love, and death. Accompany him, the healer and the strategist, an agent of chaos, in the adventure of his life. Without further preamble, I will let Mark take the mic. SynopsisHi! My name is Mark. This is my story, my life as I live it day after day. I’m in my thirties, and there’s nothing I love more than playing online games. I’ve just joined the action on the newest VRMMO game, Pawns of God. An immersive experience you can play while sleeping. Of course, as a game that takes pride in its long development and technological advances, everything inside seems and feels real. Beware, this is not a game-turns-real story. I love my own world and I would detest being summoned into another one. If that ever happens, I’ll just quickly take my life and be done with it. I play with my friends, in a party of 5. We have taken several roles, but lately, I've come to love being a healer. It's my secret ambition to someday be the shotcaller. I am not overpowered. If there is any bug or exploit in the game, they are yet to be discovered. Anyhow, for a game of this scale, the company is pouring all of its resources into test servers, QA, and beta tests. I don’t expect to find any, so I’ll be playing the game just like any other person. I must say, though, I am easily distracted, as you will immediately notice once you start. I'm working on it, I promise to improve! I am no hero. Being in my 30s, my heart is too old for this shit. I wouldn’t mind being one, of course. Who hasn’t dreamt of it? Either way, I’m not doing any grand quest to save the world. Whatever the game throws to their users, I’ll be there to experience it. Most of my life, at least the interesting parts that I’ll be narrating, happen inside the game itself. Rarely, there will be some IRL (In Real Life) chapters. You’ll understand, however, that as a freelance software developer, there is not much I can entertain you with when outside the game. Did I say I love games? Well, I’m also a fan of LitRPG literature. You know, journeys of magic, relationships, personal development, items, skills, discovery… In the spirit of not overwhelming my public, I’ll condense each chapter into circa 1500 words. You might have noticed some tags over this story, let me elaborate. I like to swear. I’m not shy when it comes to cursing my enemies, friends, or even myself. When there’s blood, I tell it as I see it. And… it hurts to admit it, but I’m not a casanova. Of course, this doesn’t mean that I won’t ever find love. So, in case I do end up finding it, let’s keep my sexual options open. As for traumas, none yet, but the future is vast and unknown. Release Schedule The schedule is subject to change, particularly if enough readers end up loving it. All chapters are already written, thus there is enough freedom to modify them. An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
